WOW OKAY

Asdfjfks all I did was look at some concept art and think “oh I bet that place would exist in the Devildom” and now all I wanna do is destroy my hands and mind with trying to come up with locations in the Devildom that are outside the main city ahahaaa (๑꒪̇⌄꒪̇๑)

In my head there’s a ton of weird structures littered around the place outside of the main city area we spend our time in because surely throughout the thousands of years, there’s been places abandoned and left to decay while the realm gets… Developed? Modernized? Centralized? Over time. One headcanon I have is that the city-like part of the realm only really started getting put together during the later part of the Demon King’s reign and started flourishing when Diavolo took over. There’s ruins here and there, some still recognizable and some mysterious because it’s just been that long since they’ve been left to the wilds.

There’s gotta be a lot of hidden areas we never see but are there. Remnants of previous areas, groups that did things in their own without the realm’s ruler… like there’s such a crazy assortment of creatures there that it can’t possibly just be that one place that’s populated, right? Isn’t the reaper’s cave in the Devildom or something? I haven’t gotten to that part yet, but just the idea of something THAT important sitting somewhere in hell is so ahdkdhaaja

Is this an excuse to also draw some crazy gnarled trees? Maybe. The Devildom used to be an endless forest apparently. Part of me wants to take that idea and go nuts.

I also really wanna imagine what the other parts of the city look like. It can’t all look like the one street we get to see as a background + the Jobs part of the game. At least one of the parks HAS to look something like this:

Maybe I’m super biased and have a different view of the Devildom but like??? These were what I was looking at and now I’m inspired ( •́દ•̩̥̀ ) Can’t make anything close to this level yet but I really wanna get back on the road to getting there and if I can use this fucking game to fuel my imagination I absolutely will!!

Cannot believe that this shitty game is what’s fueling a majority of the art I’ve been making and planning to make
