No but the thing is it wasn't just Meng Yao who had his rise and downfall.
Because Wei Wuxian also had his rise and downfall.
They both rose with their ideologies during war and then fell eventually.
It's just that one of them met their fall earlier than the other.
And it wasn't JGY who died for his mindset, JGY died because NHS wanted revenge for his brother.
WWX died because he rejected the rules of the world he unfortunately lived in.
do yall ever think about the fact that by not being an âofficialâ part of any clanâhe was not a jiang or a lan or a nie or a wenâwei wuxian was able to perceive people by their character first and foremost and not by their familial lineage and so he never struggled with hateful prejudice against the wen remnants?? that his outlook was self-developed in a way that put personal loyalty over clan-bound loyalty and learned to take each person on a case-by-case basis when it came to his opinions on them??
also do yall think about how the other outsider and shunned parallel of wwx is meng yao and how he does infact become a âjinâ and itâs almost like that clan-climbing mindset is exactly what brings about his rise and then his downfall in the cultivation world.
#the fact is that even if WWX came to terms with his alienation#the others did not#the world did not allow him to live peacefully in his own corner#the only way to survive is to conform#but always remember that you won't be happy even the#because jgy may have risen but he was never unburdened#he lived longer#but he still died just as miserable as wwx#because in the end classism is not something that 1 or 2 people can fix#it something that needs to be uprooted from the depths of the ground and#unlike the misconceptions the roots are not in the ground#but high above#wei Wuxian#jin guangyao#mdzs
