Can i get 🛁 - A nice, relaxing bath for either sabrina or cal? Whichever one you think deserves it more :)
Prompt from this post.
Originally I settled to do it for Sabrina, since for the life of me I couldn't imagine Calahan ever taking a bath unironically (not that he deserves it less), the closest he's ever gotten to taking a bath is when John almost drowns him at the Cleansing. 🤣 But ... I ended up writing a little something for Hartley too, including it after her snippet.

Sabrina was awakened by the sunlight streaming through the ranch's windows. She realized they had forgotten to close the curtains the night before, too engrossed in each other and in the moment, then all she could remember was drifting off in his bed, their bodies entangled. A look at her watch revealed it was past 8 am. Usually she'd wake up at sunrise or before the sun even made an appearance, she couldn't believe she had overslept.
It's his bed. It's just more comfortable. Right.
Sabrina laughed internally at the poor excuse. It wasn't the bed, it was John, no matter how much she tried to ignore that fact. Ironically it was in his arms where she felt safe, she didn't have to stay awake until tiredness finally took over and her brain had overworked itself enough. She allowed herself few more extra seconds in his embrace, absorbing the warmth his body radieted, like her own personal blanket. With a sigh she carefully moved his arm that was resting over her waist and got up, stretching her body, feeling a sweet soreness in her limbs.
The cool air hit her naked skin, making her shiver. At the foot of the bed she found his shirt laying discarded on the floor, as she put it on Sabrina took in his scent, the smokey expensive cologne he used enveloping her in the same way he was holding her. She looked over at his sleeping form under the sheets, the calm expression on his face made him appear younger, peaceful, carefree. "For once I'm watching you sleep and not the other way around.", she whispered, then tiptoed over to the master bathroom, not wanting to wake him up, knowing he needed rest as much as she did. Sabrina was freshening up when an idea hit her. During her stay an the ranch she had been eyeing the bathtub in the bathroom she usually used, yearning to de-stress for a few minutes. At the end she always settled for a quick shower, feeling too guilty to pamper herself while the County was at war. She walked over, her body convincing her to draw a bath this time. With the water at just the right temperature and smelling heavenly, she was about to get in when the door opened. "You didn't wake me.", John sounded a little hurt. Sabrina turned around, her eyes taking him in: He was shirtless, all of his tattoos on display, barefoot, sleep pants hanging low on his waist, his hair messier than usual with strands falling on his forehead in defiance. In few strides he was in front of her, the sleepiness still lingering in his gaze. "You looked too peaceful to", she responded and hugged him, her arms locking at the nape of his neck as her eyes met his. "And you look good in my shirt, Ms. Donovan.", John retorted, pulling her closer by the waist and leaning down for a kiss. "Should have seen me in my detective days, then.", was all she could get out before he silenced her. When their lips met, Sabrina felt the same giddiness that took over her the first time he kissed her, the same hunger he was trying to quench. She nudged his chest and broke the kiss, knowing full well they'd get carried away otherwise. "My bath is getting cold and I have to make breakfast for Savannah." "Then we better get you out of that shirt.", he smirked, his fingers going to work on the buttons, garment hitting the ground in seconds. His pants quickly followed suit. "You didn't even ask to join me, Seed. What if I need some alone time?", Sabrina raised an eyebrow. "It's my bathtub, Deputy." She made a move to playfully smack him on the chest, but he caught her wrist and kissed her palm. "Sabrina", he drawled, correcting himself, "I'm just riling you up. So, can", a kiss, "I", followed by another, " join", and another, "you?" She gave his chest another push, "As long as you don't try to drown me." John backed away, laughing, his blue eyes shining playfully, "As brazen as the first time we met." He moved around Sabrina, stepping into the water. He sat down, making himself comfortable, then reached out a hand to her. She couldn't help but chuckle at the sight, at John Seed enveloped by bubbles, "Spa day at the ranch. But hell, I forgot your rubber ducky." "Get in, Sabrina." And so she did, nestling against him, her back to his chest. She was right, the water was getting colder already. John had his right arm resting on the edge of the tub, the left was wrapped around her waist, holding her close, something that was turning into a habit. Sabrina grabbed his hand in hers, intertwining their fingers, looking at his tattoos. At times she still found herself in disbelief that he was the man from her visions. "You making breakfast for me too?", he murmured inbetween kissing her back, his teeth playfully grazing the spot where her shoulder and neck met, lips quickly soothing the sting. "I have to, after last night. You need your energy back.", she broke into laughter at his hand tickling her waist. "My energy is just fine. But you already know that.", he whispered in her ear. "I might need a demonstration." "Will you now?" "Yes, you see-" His lips against hers silenced her as his hand descended underwater, making her forget about her bath and the water going cold.

Sabrina entered the ranch, unable to shake off the feeling something was wrong. Her and Savannah had gone out on a walk, while John was away doing God knows what. She was sure she had closed the backdoor on their way out. Then she saw them: muddy footprints leading from the entry past the kitchen and up the stairs. An intruder. "Rin-Rin? What's wrong?", Savannah could sense her worry. "Stay here.", Sabrina told her sister. Leaving her to sit on the couch in the living room. On her way upstairs, she grabbed her gun from John's room. "I'm living it in here. Regular and Bliss bullets. So I know you two are safe when I'm not present.", was what he had told her before he left the last time. She set on checking the upper levels of the ranch, gun raised in front of her, eyes tracking the footprints that led to the guestroom that nobody used. Sabrina opened the door, the room was empty but a godawful noise was coming from the bathroom. The most off-key singing I've ever heard. "What the fuck?", she whispered. She expected an attacker, not an America's Got Talent reject. With quick strides she was in front of the bathroom door, swinging it open and rushing in. The sight made her freeze in her tracks. Calahan was taking a bath and signing on the top of his lungs while smoking a cigarette. His clothes were thrown in a heap in the middle of the room. "KID? What the fuck?", Sabrina was dumbfounded. "Gray!", Hartley was so startled by her sudden appearance he almost dropped his cigarette in the water as he made a move to cover himself, desperately gathering the remaining bubbles. She twirled around, grabbing a towel off the rack and chucking it next to the bathtub. She then tucked the gun in the back of her jeans, seeing how no actual danger was present. "Out.", she shouted. Calahan gave her a sheepish smile, as he put out his cigarette on the edge of the tub and picked up the towel. Sabrina turned, staring at the door she came through, refusing to be flashed further. "Front is clear, Gray." Hartley had the towel wrapped around his waist and was tracking water across the floor as he headed for his clothes. "What are you doing here?" "I needed a break from all the fuckers chasing me. Was close by and figured this might be the only place I'd find a friendly face at." "And if John was the one to find you?" "Eh," Cal shrugged, "he would have been pissed, even better." "Kid.", Sabrina gave him a pointed look. "I needed this, Gray. Haven't rested in days, forgot even when I showered last. Felt like a better option than the river", he sent her a wink, "You might want to turn around again…" Sabrina shook her head, exiting the bathroom as she shouted, "Get your ass dressed, Deputy." Few minutes later Calahan emerged too, his body covered by dark jeans, faded sweatshirt and denim jacket, while he carried his dirty boots in one hand. His gaze landed on Sabrina sitting on the bed, "Sorry. I really mean it." "My sister is downstairs, terrified, Calahan. You've tracked in mud all over the house. And now I need to bleach my eyes.", she groaned, "You're lucky John isn't here. I'm really not in the mood for you two bickering like children." "I'm sorry.", he repeated, paired with the best puppy eyes he could muster. With a sigh, Sabrina got up and gave him a hug, "I'm glad you're okay. And here." "I missed you too, you know.", he responded, patting her back with his free hand. "Okay, that's enough.", she backed away, wiping her eyes, "Come now." Sabrina opened the bedroom door, heading straight for the stairs. "I'm going to make us some lunch, while you make sure the house is spotless. Deal, kid?" "Deal."
