also. "there's gender in it" is possibly one of the best selling points for this show imho lol

i know this is 100% not the case and the timing was just a coincidence, but. you watching infinity train just a couple days after having your onion eating habit compared to tulip gives me the very funny mental image of like. you going "oh, finally, some good representation for My People: the onion-eaters. i gotta check this show out."

it actually WAS slightly related to the onion post - rafi has coincidentally been watching infinity train with another friend & i was like "hey this is funny, apparently the main character of season one eats onions like i do." and rafi was like "SHE DOES. can i show you the show. please. i think you'll have fun. there's gender in it"

#intr #i'm pretty sure the Gender is one of the points i used when convincing TWO separate friends to watch the show w me #bc of course book 2 is just FULL of Gender. mostly w lake's Whole Thing but even jesse's arc is a lil abt gender roles #but there's little bits of Gender sprinkled throughout the rest of the series too #like i just KNEW my one friend would feel very Gender abt the gay lil guitar man in a later season #tho mostly i think the main selling point was just ''it's really good trust me i prommy'' and ''i can make some good popcorn for us''#the first friend mostly just figured watching someth together would be fun #the second generally just trusts when i recommend shit to him bc he's loved pretty much everything i got him into #the exception being music. a lil bc our tastes differ a lot there (w some exceptions like 80s pop) BUT #mostly bc of JUST ONE TIME when i thought it'd be pretty funny to send his frail medieval pageboy ass a 100 gecs song
