idk why but whenever I play resident evil 1 again I'll always forget you're supposed to open the jewelry box yourself in order to get the death mask
#the examine feature is maybe the weakest part of the game if anything#essentially you can look at item closer and usually it's for story stuff#then sometimes it's these basic puzzles where you might rotate something to the back or press a button to open a mechanism#it's so rare and easy so I'll go to do it with the box which has 8 buttons that are pretty low res#and without fault I'll go oh nvm maybe I'm remembering this one wrong#then i run around like what do i do!!#probably didn't need the feature at all tbh#the more recent games do it better but I'm still not crazy about it
