one day i will come in and post my (currently incoherent but hopefully coherent by that point) ramblings on the Narrative in mp100 and the narrative awareness that most characters seem to have
#it’s interesting bc it’s not true narrative awareness#they don’t know they’re in a story. but they act like on some level they’re aware that this is a story#ritsu knows his role is The Guy Who Gets Hurt So Shigeo Can Go Apeshit/Otherwise Supports Him#teru thinks of himself as the protagonist and then in discovering that he is not a shonen protagonist decides that he is the rival#shou acts like a shonen protagonist too but a different flavor than teru (both subgenre wise and behavior wise) (more accurate to the role)#and lets not even get started about toichirou#the espers mostly treat it like a story and reigen walks in like ‘what the fuck you guys this is real life’
