okay there are a ton of issues with Zecora which are spelled out here correctly but I just have to point out that first sentence is straight up wrong.

Zecora doesn't have a more "masculine" appearance, her face is more defined like the Princess ponies which are more realistic and "regal", and her eyelashes are depicted in a single thick line.

like if they're gonna critique the issues with Zecora they should at least focus on the correct ones, my god. I would say her muzzle + eyes are more influenced by trying to appear "exotic" than masculine.

the boys had giant chunky heads because My Little Pony loves gender essentialism:

by the way the boys are only in boy colors like Red, Blue, Grey, Brown, and Yellow, they don't get to be Pink because Pink is a Girl Color.

Zecora is why I get so salty about people acting like Lauren Faust is some sort of god-tier children's show creators. Her politics are firmly planted in her childhood in the 80s (seriously, racism tw if you look up the Pony Pitch Bible and the Diamond Dawgs or the Native-Deer-Pony-Adoption stories)

Oh, also they decided to make an Equestria Girls (aka human semi-anthro-thing) of Zecora and she looked like this:

i'm gonna be honest i don't get why they say everypony instead of everybody in mlp. it's not like the word everybody is human-specific. the ponies have bodies. the word everypony, however, is pony-specific in a world where ponies are not the only people in their society, which means it would be more accurate and inclusive to use everybody instead of everypony. it all makes no sense to me
