Bakool Ja Ja's catty remarks was weirdly hilarious when I have a cat girl and the team has a trio of cats. Thanks for cementing that trio of cats running around thing.

He was targeting Wuk Lamat and I was hoping that he would acknowledge that Hylnyan is cat too. But then he would rather target Krile the kitten than the dusty hunting cat from across the salt.

I go with him being vaguely aware that Hylnyan is not one to antagonize (Head of Mystic seem to recognise it)

And when Wuk Lamat beat him. His voice broke! I was surprise to hear him whimpering(when with his sire as well) and thereafter his VA maintain that tired/defeated voice. And then his family background came out like the Mamool Ja version of Fruits Basket.

I was half expecting Bakool Ja Ja to remain antagonistic for a good chunk of the game but apparently no. Eh *shrugs

I would probably Unending journey this in JP later to hear how JP cast takes on this. but dang.

The last time a character's voice broke that way was Thancred in a Word of the Mother and that was rather surprising coming from a voiced game. I expect it from Anime but not so much EN dub of Video Games (MGS, Resident Evil, Witcher). Most of my RPGs were silent with whatever voice cast my head provides.
