Shout out to my first time playing dnd and my dm.

It was two years ago at summer camp. There I made the greatest character of my career, Captain Tortimer McFungus.

He was a Tortle Rogue with a Pirate background who after decades of swashbuckling developed a crippling gambling addiction and gambled away the majority of his booty, leading his husband to leave him and take the ship. He was adventuring to prove to his husband that he was worthy of his love.

My swashbuckling tortle, expert in the seas. My dm helped me make him because it was my first time, and then when we started he looked at me and went:

"I probably should have told you the setting of the campaign..."

Then he threw us in a fucking desert.
