finiched rewatching transformers animated this fine afternoon 👍 tfa shockwave is sooooo good. i love how compared to autobots he's this huge scary monsterdude but when he's with the other decepticons he's a skinny little nerd getting his shit kicked in constantly. truly impeccable

#shockwave having pretty much nothing go his way thru the whole show is so funny #the duality of shockwave being presented (and embraced by the fandom) as this imposing scary villain #vs the reality of him just straight up sucking hugely at his job #gets discovered the first day of autobot bootcamp. gets discovered by some rando picking up his super secret teleconference with his boss.#fails to do the one thing he was asked to do because autobot command just goes around him for no real reason.#fails to kill his own agent that doesn't even know he's the double agent until he starts attacking him.#fails to dispose of the body because his secretary just throws it in a hole.#gets thrown around by an autobot half his size and his human sidekick. even though he's holding the autobot leader's magic hammer.#reunites with decepticons. gets immediately and mercilessly bullied by a subordinate that's mad your boss likes you more than him.#find out your boss was lying about liking you more than him. evil master plan fails. immediately get arrested. lose the war.#none if this is a critique btw in case it isn't clear i genuinely love it. my shmoopsy.......#the recent screencap from the manga (?) going around of blurr confronting shockwave in jail #and shckwave is just in his little cell pressed against the glass looking at him like a sad dog. im gonna be SICKKKKKKKKKK
