Hm, that’s… different, is that the word he wants? That is most assuredly different. On the one hand, he’s obviously theatrical himself and so he has, once in a while, attended musical shows and concerts in halls and what have you. On the other hand, well, it’s not the same as knowing that one’s lover is a regular performer at concerts like that. She’s a bit… famous, perhaps? Other people are looking at her with the same eye that he does, the ‘you are very attractive and I am drawn in by you’ eye, so he’s not exactly sure how to feel about that. Aside from the fact that he doesn’t really like it, of course. The idea that she performs for others, dresses so that people will look at her, and is probably singing songs about love — he almost hates to admit it, but it makes him a little jealous. He’s more insecure than he wants people to think, so he’s actually anxious that she’s putting her beauty on full display and singing about romance. Mightn’t that give people the wrong idea… the idea that she’s available? He’ll fight for her honor if she needs him to, no bones about that. It takes him a little while to settle into accepting it, though he eventually does. If he ever expresses his insecurities about it, her earnest reminder that she thinks about him every second while she’s singing about love helps a lot. It’s really not so bad, is it?

Aah… he always knew she was a creative type, so this isn’t really all that surprising to him. On the surface, it might seem like he’s rather indifferent to the whole thing. That’s just how he is in general, however, not easily shocked and, unlike his friend, doesn’t let his emotions run away. Of course, it depends on exactly how he finds out. If she tells him, invites him to a performance? He’ll simply take it all in, maybe with the smallest hint of a smile on his face for half a second. If he just happens to find out by seeing the performance whilst investigating or some such? His eyes will go wide for a moment as his mind processes that… his partner is up on stage, dressed in a way that (for the era) is not an insignificant amount of provocative, dancing and singing something probably at least mildly suggestive. That would be what stuns him for a bit, because he didn’t expect it, whereas if she tells him, he’s expecting it. Still, he won’t make too much of a deal of it either way. He can appreciate the artistry behind the music and choreographed moves, and… that’s about it. But, after he finds out, his beloved may notice that she usually sees him in the crowd during her concerts. … What can he say? He likes to be supportive. Also, she’s very pretty.
