“The sheer quantity of individuals who want or unknowingly need the attention of a decent-natured elder figure is, honestly, concerning.” And sad. Why are there so many, for so many species? Why aren’t there more parents and elders to go around?? Why did universes collectively decide to imbalance the scales so drastically???
