Finally filled out a form that had Jewish as an option under ethnicity!!!!!!!!
#wildin!!!!! cause forms usually NEVER have that as an option#like ya I am white and also#(tw antisemitism for the this next part)#there’s were still swatsikas drawn on my desk in 9th grade and my friends were told they should be gassed up when they were in the locker rm#Jewish#jewblr#mypost#and racially restrictive housing laws sold only to ‘white’ families and specifically not ‘Blacks Hispanics or Jews’#the definition of who = white has kept changing thru history like even Italians werent considered white#but that’s more on whiteness as the identity which I can absolutely say I privilege from#the idea of ‘race’ is v complex and so is ethnicity but as I understand the government understands it: ethnicity is abt shared culture/#language/history/traditions etc#and Judaism 100% is that bruv n we’ve been persecuted on it
