I love how when The Day Today is completely overtaken by the war that they caused, they still pause the war coverage for a few moments so Alan can do the sports. Like, oh no, we still gotta have the sports. That is vital. And Alan even does a really awkward scowl as he says goodnight to try to keep up the intense war vibe. Brilliant.

Happy 30th Birthday to THE DAY TODAY. One of my first times on a set as a performer along with a bunch of fellow theatre kids from my agency. Seems like yesterday, but also a lifetime ago. Fond memories.
