Will Lost City of Dwarka Located? Survive the Recession?
The Lost City of Dwarka has long captured the imagination of historians, archaeologists, and enthusiasts alike. Said to be the ancient kingdom of Lord Krishna, its existence has been debated and studied for decades. While the search for Dwarka continues, its survival through economic downturns like recessions raises intriguing questions.
The quest for Dwarka's location has seen significant progress in recent years, with underwater archaeological explorations off the coast of Gujarat, India. These investigations have revealed submerged structures and artifacts, hinting at the possibility of an ancient city. As technology advances, researchers are better equipped to explore the ocean's depths, offering renewed hope of discovering this fabled city.
However, the survival of Dwarka's exploration and research could indeed be impacted by economic recessions. Funding for archaeological projects often faces challenges during times of financial uncertainty. Limited resources and competing priorities might hinder the progress of excavations and studies related to Dwarka. Yet, history has shown that human fascination with uncovering the past is resilient, and dedicated researchers often find ways to persevere.
Recessions can lead to a shift in priorities, potentially affecting public and private funding for archaeological endeavors. Governments might need to allocate resources to more immediate concerns, and philanthropic contributions could dwindle. Nevertheless, the allure of solving historical mysteries like Dwarka's location could inspire creative collaborations, alternative funding sources, and renewed public interest.
In conclusion, while the search for The Lost City of Dwarka continues to captivate our curiosity, its survival through a recession depends on a complex interplay of factors. Economic downturns can certainly pose challenges to archaeological endeavors, potentially slowing down progress. However, human determination to uncover the secrets of the past, combined with innovative approaches to funding and research, may ensure that the quest for Dwarka persists, even in the face of adversity.

Ch-4: Meeting the Bride
// Krishna fics masterlist //
The wedding celebrations were over and all the esteemed guests were preparing to leave for their respective kingdoms except a choice few guests who were close to Krishna stayed back, including Aarnika who was specifically requested to stay for a few more days to meet the new bride.
The Vidharban princess looked more angelic even closer and as blessed as she was with good looks, the princess's soft demeanor and kind heart won Aarnika's heart too.
"It must be adventurous and a little liberating, isn't it Rajkumari? You get to rule an entire city on your own terms," Rukmini said.
Aarnika smiled and thought about her father's punishment that had given her this indepent ruleship to her and said, "I agree, princess. I am glad that my people support me and help me handle things there. I am glad to find a place in their heart, and though it's a small city, my city is growing which makes me proud." She held Rukmini's hand. "Do come to Kanakgarh sometime. We would love to have you and your family, besides," she winked, "my city will be the talk of Aryavarta if the royal family of Dwaraka arrives."
Rukmini laughed and nodded, "The queen of Kanakgarh must not request us, and certainly not her friend now. I will definitely ask Krishna and plan a visit there soon." Pretending to whisper, she continued, "You are anyway a wild topic in Aryavarta. A woman single handedly running a kingdom is unheard of."
"It's a small city, Rukmini, not a kingdom."
"I believe, a kingdom doesn't have to be large to house too many provinces and grandeur. A small place with the right ruler, for whom people have immense love in their hearts to help their land prosper is a kingdom." Rukmini patted Aarnika's shoulder. "I have been talking to you since the past two days, and the time we have spent together is enough for me to know that you are and will be a great ruler, no matter how large or small the province is."
The princess's words made Aarnika beam with pride and happiness. Nobody in her family except her mother had acknowledged her abilities and talents. Hearing Rukmini after spending only a brief amount of time was an achievement for her.
"And in what deep conversation have you pulled my dear wife into, sakhi?" asked a honeyed voice.
"Nothing much. The princess was bestowing some generous compliments over my rulership over Kanakgarh," said Aarnika.
Krishna passed a bright smile and sat beside Rukmini who blushed when surrounded by him. "You give yourself too less credit, Aarnika. The feats you have managed are a wonder. You paved the way for women to be a part of the workforce. Trade and businesses are flourishing. I think it will rival your capital city in the next few years."
A bubbly Subhadra in orange garments twirled and entered the chamber, saying, "But won't Aarnika didi be married off? How will she keep developing her city then? Would her husband allow her?" She held her ear and looked at Aarnika. "Sorry, I overheard you all."
Aarnika gently pulled Subhadra's nose. "My choti sakhi, don't worry about that. I am not marrying for a very long time so I am going to keep developing my city."
"But didi, do you have someone in mind whom you want to marry?"
Krishna cleared his throat and said, "Subhadre, it is not appropriate to ask such questions. She is older than you."
Pouting, the little darling of Dwaraka looked at Krishna and finally at Aarnika. Her eyes lit up with brightness and said, "Well, you can always count on me. I might help fix an alliance."
Krishna pulled Subhadra's ear, making her wince, saying, "You never listen to me, do you?"
"As if you listen to Balaram dau?"
Rukmini laughed and commented, "Now Subhadra won. Fair and square."
Warmth seeped into Aarnika's heart as she watched the siblings and Rukmini interact. If only her household could have been like them – full of love, fun and friendly banter.
***
"I wish you stayed with us for some more time didi," muttered a sad Subhadra hugging Aarnika. "Especially with me."
Aarnika ruffled the young princess's head and patted her cheek. "You know that my doors will always be open for you. If you are ever bored of Dwaraka, my city would provide you a wonderful retreat."
Revati too had come to see off Aarnika. Both of them did not get much time with each other due to the wedding work and other queenly duties the former had to carry, but she had found time to bid farewell to Krishna's special guest. In three days, the princess of Mahishaka had charmed her way into the hearts of the family of Dwaraka. Her simplicity and humble personality was endearing to all.
"Do visit Dwarka again, princess. You spent time with Rukmini and our dearest Subhadra, but not with me. I shall hold it against you," Revati said, as she hugged Aarnika.
Aarnika's heart was full. She climbed into her palanquin and replied, "The Queen must not be crossed. I shall come back soon and I believe you all must too."
"As for me, I will keep writing letters sakhi. You must be updated with Dwarka's latest gossip." Aarnika chuckled and nodded at Krishna. "Yes, your highness, I shall await the latest gossip in your letters."
"Take care, Aarnika."
The princess looked up at Krishna for one last time. His eyes as gentle as the moon, looked into hers and a friendly smile curved its way on his lips causing her to smile too. A slight pang in her chest, and a lone tear burning in the corner of her eye, Aarnika whispered, "You too, Krishna."
He left his hand from the palanquin and waved at her. Following him was Subhadra who had already begun to shed tears and waved frantically at Aarnika as if her didi sakhi would immediately stop and return back.
The ever so graceful Rukmini hugged Subhadra and waved at Aarnika who bowed and covered her palanquin with curtains. Each step took her away from the land of her beloved, but she was happy to find new friends in Subhadra and Rukmini.
Who knows when this alliance would play a role in her future?
By the end of the first prahar, her entourage had reached the beautiful green hills on the borders of Dwaraka which made Aarnika feel nostalgic about the moment she had first arrived here and witnessed their majestic beauty.
The morning sun fell on a slope of one of the hills, illuminating that section. The trees on the hill gently swayed with the soft sea breeze and its leaves shone bright under the rays of Surya. The sea breeze allowed its into the palanquin and gently blew over Aarnika's face. She closed her eyes and imagined the sea waters of Dwarka. She hadn't found time to visit the sea shore.
The gentle sea breeze slowly lulled her eyes to sleep with fun filled memories of the wedding and new companions until she would find herself back home in her palace, devoid of those friendships. Aarnika loved Kanakgarh and her people. She also had some of her trusted handmaidens who would swear their lives on her, but she also yearned for such loving friendships in her lives, for people to be with her and not only in curved letters of a letter on paper.
Maybe someday I wouldn't be this alone.
*** **** ****** *** ** **** **** *** ***** **** ****
This was a filler chapter because I wanted to wrap up the wedding so we can get back to aarnika's work life in her city, Kanakgarh.
Also do read and tell me how it was I wrote it after a long time so maybe it won't be that good but I would still love your reblogs and comments.
Have a good day! 🌸💕

The Princesses of the Mountains
Madri tries with all her strength to stop her husband, to remind him of Rishi Kindama's curse. But he doesn't listen, consumed by his desires.
The curse fulfills itself, and her husband collapses on the ground, still and pale. She can only stare at him, numb, unfeeling.
A mother's love momentarily takes over and she regains her senses for a bit, when she looks at her two sons grasping at each other's hands, barely holding on to their sanity. But it's not enough to stop her.
"Take care of my sons," she tells her co- wife, her mind still struggling to make sense of things as she stakes her claim to entering her husband's pyre, "For I cannot take care of yours. I'm not as impartial as you, sister."
She says nothing more as she leaps into the fire, her ears deaf to the twins' screams.
The princesses of Madra, they are doomed from the start.
**********
The memory of Shyam's eyes, his amused smile, haunt Lakshmnanaa as she walks through the forests of Dwaraka, surrounded by the women, and by some of the men who had miraculously survived the massacre of the Yadavas, unlike her husband and sons.
Marching ahead of them, murmuring constant assurances, is her beloved's dearest friend, the weilder of the Gandiv. His words are wise, full of confidence, but she can hear the underlying grief on it, wreaking havoc across his soul.
She trusts him still, him and his ability to protect them all. Her husband had too.
But grief does wild things to people, and when the robbers attack, Dhananjay cannot even lift his Gandiv. They attack, they rob, they pillage and they threaten the women's honour.
She has lost her husband, her sons, her grandsons and her relatives. She will not lose her honour too.
So, silently she slips away from the chaos and lights a lone pyre in a far corner of the forests, entering it with the quiet dignity that had been her companion in life.
It doesn't burn like she'd thought it would. It burns like the hearth, it's warm and lovely.
Perhaps, when one's soul had been burnt, the body cannot feel the fire.
The princesses of Madra, they are doomed from the start.
***********
Vijayaa watches her husband as he tells her that he must leave her again, this time forever, to journey to heaven. The Mahaprasthan, he calls it, as he gently holds her hands.
She never asks her husband, wise and pragmatic man that he is, why he agreed to undertake the suicidal journey.
She knows the answer already.
So, inconspicuously so as to not alarm him, she lets go of his hand.
She watches her husband shed his regal fineries before he leaves, letting them pool at his feet as he wraps himself up in the clothes of coarse deerskin.
Slowly, she helps him adjust his uttariya, even as he asks her not to, for it might bruise her hands.
She watches her husband leave the room, the palace, the city, herself and the world as he and his brothers and their wife walk towards the heavens.
Resolutely, she watches until his back fades away from view. Then, she steps back inside the palace and lets out a sigh she'd been holding for far too long.
The princesses of Madra, they are doomed from the start.
**********
Madravati can only shudder in fear and grief over the impending when her husband tells her of Rishi Shringa's curse.
She remembers, she remembers her grandfathers- in- law say something about the burning of the Khandav forest, about the serpent king's vow of vengeance.
It doesn't take her long to put two and two together, and then when her husband leaves for the safe house, she knows, better than ever, that she'll never see him alive again.
By the time the news of his death has reached the inner quarters, she's mourned him already.
She simply nods at the messenger and sits down with a scroll and a quill, to write a letter to Janmajeya, informing him of his father's death.
Then, she stands up and walks out of her chambers for the rituals.
The princesses of Madra, they are doomed from the start.
***********
+1
The princesses of Madra, they are doomed from the start.
Except, Savitri is no ordinary princess, she is a daughter of Savitr, of the Sun God who doesn't rise.
She marries Satyavan, knowing he's doomed to die, for the love is worth it all. And then, she brings him back too, all through sheer force of will.
She simply follows the God of Death with bleeding feet and an aching throat as he leaves with her husband's soul, till at last he is pleased at her devotion and grants her any wish, except her husband's life.
"Let my father have a son, for he has no heirs save for me," she says, head bowed and hands clasped, and he grants it.
But she keeps following him, and he grants her a second boon. "Let my father- in- law be restored to his sight and to the kingdom that is rightfully his," she requests, and he grants it too.
She still follows him, and he grants her a third request.
"Let me be the mother of a hundred valourous sons by my husband," she says at last, and the God of Death grants it, perhaps not paying much attention to the implications.
He realizes soon enough, but the words have been spoken and her husband comes back to life.
"Blessed may you be, daughter," Yama Raj smiles and she bows again.
But something tells her that her actions had consequences, if not for her, then for others.
But she can worry about it later. For now, her husband is alive and its all that matters.

(via Morning Bhagavatam Class with Madan Gopal dasa - YouTube)
In this "Morning Bhagavatam Class," HG Madan Gopal dasa delves into the intricate narratives of the Bhagavatam, specifically focusing on Chapter 76 of the 10th Kanto. He highlights the dramatic conflict between the demon Shalva, who possesses a powerful iron city that can withstand all attacks, and Lord Krishna’s forces. After describing Shalva’s siege on Dwaraka, including his use of various weapons from his airship, he emphasizes Krishna’s divine response through His chariot warriors, who engage in a fierce battle to protect the city. Madan Gopal dasa draws parallels between these ancient events and the essence of devotion, illustrating how the Bhagavatam centers around Krishna and the love of His devotees. He connects these themes to the celebration of Diwali, explaining that just as people light lamps during this festival, they should illuminate their hearts with transcendental knowledge and devotion. In a reflective moment, He encourages devotees to maintain their spiritual enthusiasm through acts of devotion infused with appreciation and gratitude, likening their offerings to Krishna to the essence of real butter. He also addresses the common struggles within devotional life, including the desire for recognition and the importance of supporting one another in the spiritual community. Throughout the class, He emphasizes the necessity of maintaining a sense of self-worth and encouragement among devotees, reminding them that both high and low moments in life should be offered to Krishna with love. The session concludes with a call for unity and mutual support within the devotional community, stressing that the journey of devotion involves overcoming challenges together while remaining focused on serving Krishna.

The Land of Gods – Dev bhoomi
Uttarakhand is the 27th state of the Republic of India. It was carved out of Uttar Pradesh on 9th November 2000. Uttarakhand is also called Dev Bhoomi as it has many important shrines. Located at the foothills of the Himalayas, this State in India has international boundaries with China (Tibet) in the north and Nepal in the east. The state is divided into 2 administrative zones: Kumaon and Garhwal which share a total of 13 districts under them. 6 districts in Kumaon and 7 districts in Garhwal. The districts of Kumaon region are Almora, Bageshwar, Champawat, Nainital, Pithoragarh and Udham Singh Nagar. The districts of Garhwal region are Chamoli, Dehradun, Haridwar, Pauri, Rudraprayag, Tehri and Uttarkashi.
I hv been visiting Uttarakhand since childhood. It was Uttar Pradesh then and have visited it even when it became Uttarakhand. Every summer, my banker father would book us a vacation and we girls would bundle up and head towards the North of India. It would be either Delhi, Madhya Pradesh or any city in Uttarakhand.. Delhi is directly connected to many places in Uttarakhand. After a short visit to Delhi, we would head towards Dehra Dun and other connected places. I have visited Dehra Dun, Mussoorie, Rishikesh an infinite number of times and have very beautiful Memories of these places etched in the sands of time. Even after so many trips to Uttarakhand, we never visited any place in the Kumaon region. That’s because of our fascination to Garhwal.
The beautiful Badrinath temple, Joshimath - the winter abode of Lord Badrinarayan, Kedarnath temple,Nanda Devi peak,Rudraprayag, Devprayag, Vishnu Prayag, Neelkanth peak are all located in the Chamoli district of The Garhwal region. Badrinath temple is a major pilgrimage site. It’s one of the Char dham yatra sites - the four abodes as defined by Adi Shankaracharya. It is believed that every Hindu must do this four abodes trip to attain Moksh(salvation). The other three are Dwaraka, Puri and Rameshwaram. The smaller circuit of the char dham is here in Uttarakhand - Badrinath, Kedarnath, Yamunotri and Gangotri temples. Badrinath is located on the banks of Alaknanda river and at a height of 3133 m above sea level. Joshimath is the gateway to this pilgrim centre and also to several Himalayan climbing expeditions.
Garhwal Himalayan terrain is a very hilly one. Landslides, cloud bursts, heavy rains, flash floods are a part of the package that you could book. These natural phenomenon often disrupt one’s journey. We should, therefore, be prepared with emergencies while travelling to Garhwal. While for the traveller it’s just a disrupted journey, life comes to a standstill for the natives with communications and transport stopped until it all recedes. Our visit to the Badrinath temple was one such a trip where we experienced the wrath of the Weather. The bus journey that we had undertaken from Rishikesh to Badrinath had to be halted as the road ahead had been damaged due to landslide. We were at Joshimath then and took shelter at a Dharamshala. journey would resume once the rains stopped and the road restored. Fortunately we were able to move on with the journey the next day and take the Badrinath Darshan. The majestic Neelkanth peak was another mesmerising massif which we were able to experience and we felt very fortunate to be In its presence
Every city or district name in Uttarakhand Is a sort of hyperlink to Inexhaustible geographical detail and natural beauty. Landslides are surely a part of this place but an Uttarakhand tour is nothing if something exciting doesn’t happen. Every nook, every corner, every turn, every stretch, every valley, the huge mountains, the ashrams and the shrines will make moments of your life an everlasting one.

This topic like water ice, this aquatic ice is present in our world
This topic like water ice, this aquatic ice is present in our world.
It is because of this aquatic ice that the terrestrial surface of our earth is very safe to a great extent.
Otherwise, our earth would have been completely covered in water long ago.
However, sometimes due to the warming of our earth, a considerable part of the land level goes into the ocean womb.
You probably know, friends, that the very famous empire of Hindus, Dwarka Sea, was conceived centuries ago.
Where did the Dwarka Empire reside?
Dwarka
Wikipedia
https://en.wikipedia.org › wiki › Dwarka
Considered the original residence of Krishna, Bet Dwarka was the old port during the ancient times of Krishna before the Okha port was developed in Dwarka.
Jam Shri Ravalji, head of Jadeja clan Rajput (Kshatriya) migrated from Kutch to Halar, established himshelf & set his throne at Khambhalia in V.S.1582 for some years it was his capital & new city in V.S.1596 named “Navanagar”.
Jam Khambhalia is the head quaters of the newly created formed Devbhumi Dwarka District which was carved out of Jamnagar district on 15 August 2013.The district consists 4 talukas : khambhalia,Kalyanpur,Dwarka and Bhanvad. The named Devbhumi Dwarka is derived from the famous Dwarkadhish Temple of Dwraka city which is one of the four holy places according to Hindu mythology.
Dwarka is believed to have been the first capital of Gujarat. The city’s name literally means the “gateway to heaven” in Sanskrit, as Dwar means “gate” and ka references “Brahma”.Dwarka has also been referred to throughout its history as “Mokshapuri”, “Dwarkamati”, and “Dwarkavati”. It is mentioned in the ancient prehistoric epic period of the Mahabharata. According to legend, Krishna settled here after he defeated and killed his uncle Kansa at Mathura. This mythological account of Krishna’s migration to Dwarka from Mathura is closely associated with the culture of Gujarat.Krishna is also said to have reclaimed 12 yojanas or 96 square kilometres (37 sq mi) of land from the sea to create Dwarka.
Dwarka was established as the capital in Saurashtra by the Aryans during the Puranaic. The Yadavas, who had migrated from Mathura, established their kingdom here when the city was known as “Kaushathali”. It was during this period that the city underwent rebuilding and was named DwarkaA friendly population of natives also prompted Krishna to settle at Dwarka when he decided, after fighting Jarasandha, the king of Magadh, to retreat from Mathura. The kingdom, also known as the Yaduvanshi empire, was established by Uugrasena, father of Kansa the then ruler and later Krishna flourished and extended its domainIt is said that Krishna conducted the administration of his kingdom from Dwarka while residing with his family in Bet Dwarka. The city’s Dwarkadhish Temple dedicated to Krishna was originally built around 2,500 years ago, but was destroyed by Mahmud Begada rulers and subsequently rebuilt in the 16th century. The temple is also the location of Dwaraka maţha, also called Sharada Matha/Peeth and “western peeth”, one of the four peeths (Sanskrit: “religious center”) established by Adi Shankaracharya.
As an important pilgrimage centre for Hindus, Dwarka has several notable temples, including Rukmini Devi Temple, Gomti Ghat, and Bet Dwarka. There is also a lighthouse at the land end point of Dwarka.
Archaeological investigations at Dwarka, both on shore and offshore in the Arabian Sea, have been performed by the Archaeological Survey of India. The first investigations carried out on land in 1963 revealed many artefacts. Excavations done at two sites on the seaward side of Dwarka brought to light submerged settlements, a large stone-built jetty, and triangular stone anchors with three holes. The settlements are in the form of exterior and interior walls, and fort bastions. From the typological classification of the anchors it is inferred that Dwarka had flourished as a port during the period of the Middle kingdoms of India. Coastal erosion was probably the cause of the destruction of what was an ancient port.
Where is the original Dwarka?
The mystery behind the lost city of Dwarka - Savaari Car ...
The initial excavations began about 100 years ago, in the 1930s, around the island of Bet Dwarka, located approximately 30 kilometres north of modern-day Dwarka in Gujarat's Jamnagar district. More excavations were carried out in the 1960s, but no definitive results were obtained.6 Feb 2023
Where is Dwarka where Krishna live?
According to legend, Krishna settled here after he defeated and killed his uncle Kansa at Mathura. This mythological account of Krishna's migration to Dwarka from Mathura is closely associated with the culture of Gujarat.
This was captured in the old Dwarka Palace or the Empire Sea with the passage of many years.
Perhaps due to such heat at that time the sea ice did not melt.
But these days we are facing this problem
This snow chain is troubling us a lot these days.

Let’s take a look at the 5 major differences between coworking and managed spaces.
Privacy Privacy is one of the major differences between a coworking and managed space. In a coworking space, you get limited privacy since you are sharing the space with others. But with a managed office space, you get plenty of privacy since the office space is only for you and your associates. This is especially beneficial if you tend to work with confidential information. services : Best Commercial Office Spaces in Hyderabad, Best Coworking Office Spaces in Hyderabad, Best Coworking Office Spaces Near Me, Best Managed Office Spaces Near Me, Best Office Spaces in Hitech City, Best Office Spaces in Hyderabad.
Lease Flexibility Coworking spaces tend to have a more flexible lease period than managed office space. A coworking space usually has a locked-in period of 6-12 months and you can easily leave once the contract is over. But with a managed office space, there is less lease flexibility and the lock-in period is longer and may last up to 24-36 months.
website : https://dwarakagroup.com/
Customisation Another major difference between coworking and managed space is customisation. With a coworking office, you get access to ready-made infrastructure and services such as tables, chairs, internet connection, pantry, etc which leaves very little room for customisation.
Costs When it comes to upfront costs, a managed office space and a coworking space have the same costs per seat. However, renting a managed office requires a lot of capital since you’ll need to pay at least a 4- 6 months security deposit. While, for a coworking space, there is less cost since it doesn’t require a hefty security deposit compared to managed offices.
Choosing the right office space can be daunting. Dwaraka Infrastructure has both coworking spaces and managed office spaces across Hyderabad including Jubilee Hills, Kavuri Hills, Madhapur & HITEC City. We offer ultra-flexible office spaces where one can move from one office to another depending on workload and office requirements.

Vasudeva 45/769
Arjuna describes the rivers he has seen to Bhagavana, and goes to Dwarka.
"Vaisampayana said, 'Then Arjuna of immeasurable prowess saw, one after another, all the sacred waters and other holy places that were on the shores of the western ocean. Vibhatsu reached the sacred spot called Prabhasa. When the invisible Arjuna arrived at that sacred and delightful region, the slayer of Madhu (Krishna) heard of it. Madhava soon went there to see his friend, the son of Kunti. Krishna and Arjuna met together and embracing each other enquired after each other's welfare. Those dear friends, who were none else than the Rishis Nara and Narayana of old, sat down. Vasudeva asked Arjuna about his travels, saying, 'Why, O Pandava art thou wandering over the earth, beholding all the sacred waters and other holy places?' Then Arjuna told him everything that had happened. Hearing everything, that mighty hero of Vrishni's race said, 'This is as it should be.' And Krishna and Arjuna having sported as they liked, for some time at Prabhasa, went to the Raivataka mountain to pass some days there. Before they arrived at Raivataka, that mountain had, at the command of Krishna been well-adorned by many artificers. Much food also had, at Krishna's command, been collected there. Enjoying everything that had been collected there for him, Arjuna sat with Vasudeva to see the performances of the actors and the dancers. Then the high-souled Pandava, dismissing them all
with proper respect, laid himself down on a well-adorned and excellent bed. As the strong-armed one lay on that excellent bed, he described unto Krishna everything about the sacred waters, the lakes and the mountains, the rivers and the forests he had seen. While he was speaking of these, stretched upon that celestial bed, sleep, O Janamejaya, stole upon him. He rose in the morning, awakened, by sweet songs and melodious notes of the Vina (guitar) and the panegyrics and benedictions of the bards. After he had gone through the necessary acts and ceremonies, he was affectionately accosted by him of the Vrishni race. Riding upon a golden car, the hero then set out for Dwaraka, the capital of the Yadavas. And, O Janamejaya, for honouring the son of Kunti, the city of Dwaraka, was well-adorned, even all the gardens and houses within it. The citizens of Dwaraka, desirous of beholding the son of Kunti, began to pour eagerly into the public thoroughfares by hundreds of thousands. In the public squares and thoroughfares, hundreds and thousands of women, mixing with the men, swelled the great crowd of the Bhojas, the Vrishnis, and the Andhakas, that had collected there. Arjuna was welcomed with respect by all the sons of Bhojas, the Vrishnis, and the Andhakas. And he, in his turn, worshipped those that deserved his worship, receiving their blessings. The hero was welcomed with affectionate reception by all the young men of the Yadava tribe. He repeatedly embraced all that were equal to him in age. Wending then to the delightful mansion of Krishna that was filled with gems and every article of enjoyment, he took up his abode there with Krishna for many days.'"

Discovering the Mystical and Historical Wonders of the Jagannath Temple in Puri
Puri is known for its extraordinary beach scenes. Among the best resorts in Puri near sea beach are many famous hotels.
In the early hours of the morning, Puri, Odisha, offers a unique experience. As the sun is yet to rise, the boulevard along the beach lies silent, flanked by resorts and hotels. Moving towards the main temple road, one does have a feeling of divinity. Gradually, the town comes alive as the sun rises, casting its rays upon the 200-foot-tall tower of the Puri Jagannath Temple, the city's epicenter. A 48-hour visit to Puri should be planned to include visiting the temples and architectural marvels, experiencing the local crafts, and taking a sunset cruise, which is sure to be a delightful experience.
Puri is an esteemed religious destination, forming an integral part of the Char Dham itinerary, which encompasses Dwaraka, Badrinath, and Rameshwaram. Upon entering the temple, people are greeted by a bustling congregation of devoted pilgrims, including tourists, locals, and pandas, all eagerly seeking the first darshan of the lord. Amidst the crowds, finding a secluded corner to reflect and partake in a private spiritual moment with the triad deities is a soothing task. The sight of the larger-than-life, brightly-clad wooden figures of Jagannath, Balabhadra, and Subhadra is mesmerizing, filled with a sense of wonder and awe. Elbowing the crowd and basking in the serene presence of the divine, people can explore the vast open space surrounding the temple, which spans 400,000 square feet.
Visiting Puri Jagannath Temple
Visiting the Jagannath temple should be the top priority for anyone planning a 48-hour trip to Puri, even if you're not on a religious pilgrimage. This 11th-century temple was built by King Anantavarman Chodaganga Deva of the Eastern Ganga Dynasty and is believed to have been designed by Vishwakarma, the architect of the Gods. The deities are made from neem wood by none other than Vishnu himself in the guise of a carpenter. A 20-foot wall surrounds the temple complex and houses more than 120 smaller shrines. The Srichakra of Vishnu crowns the temple tower, and there are four gates: the Lion Gate, the main entrance, and the Elephant Gate, Tiger Gate, and Horse Gate. The temple is divided into four separate sections, including the main sanctum or Garba Graha, where the deities are placed on a throne of pearls or Ratnavedi. There is also a Nata mandapa or dancing hall, the Bhoga Mandapa or offerings hall, and the front porch or Mukhashala. The temple's kitchen is another area that draws much attention. There, in one of the best kitchens in the world, more than 40 different types of offerings are prepared for the deity. Food is cooked in earthen pots, and water is drawn from the nearby wells in the temple's complex.
