Can you do an imagine with Hyde and a depressed reader?
I’d love to my dear.
I Just Need You To Hold Me
Lately, Y/n L/n hasn’t been acting like herself. She doesn’t smile or laugh as much as she used to. And if she does, it doesn’t reach her eyes. In fact, it barley graces her lips. As if she’s just faking it to make sure her friends don’t worry about her. Fez who always makes her laugh with his cute, innocent, or even lewd jokes didn’t seem to faze her. But her boyfriend, Steven Hyde, had definitely noticed. Everyone else did too, but were too timid to talk to her about it. She had even stopped taking care into her appearance. Her hair had become dull and barley combed, dark circles had developed under her y/e/c eyes, and she wouldn’t shower a few days at a time. She would use deodorant and perfume to cover up her odor.
Before they knew it, she stopped showing up to hang out. She stopped showing up to circle time and even worse, she stopped showing up to dates. Steven and the rest of the group was starting to get really worried about her. On another occasion of her not showing up to hang out, the gang sat in the basement, worrying about her.
“Should we go check on her?” Donna asked. “I mean, I haven’t seen her in three weeks. I’m really starting to worry.”
“Yeah, I think we should,” Fez responded. “She hasn’t been herself.”
“Do you have any idea what might be wrong with her?” Eric asked Hyde.
“No,” he responded, shaking his head. “She won’t let me in, man. I’ve tried asking her if she’s okay and she just keeps saying she’s fine. Clearly things aren’t fine.”
“Well, if she says she’s fine, she clearly doesn’t want to talk about it,” Jackie replied, filing her nails. “Girls do that.”
Hyde gave her a deadpanned look. “You don’t say.”
“Yeah, man. Why do you keep pushing it? Clearly, she’s okay. As long as you’re getting action, that’s all that matters,” Kelso said.
Hyde glared at him before throwing a magazine at him.
“Ow! My eye!” Kelso cried out. “Stop doing that!”
“Get smarter!” Hyde yelled back.
Suddenly, the phone rang, silencing the group’s laughter. Hyde answered.
“Hello?”
“Hey,” a sweet, familiar voice said from the other side.
“Hey,” he responded in a gentle tone.
“I know that this is last minute, but I don’t think I’ll be able to make it to the movie tonight with everyone.”
“Y/n, this is the fourth time this week. What’s going on?”
“Nothing,” she lied. “I’m just super tired. College finals are kicking my butt, you know?”
“Y/n, you’ve been on spring break all week,” he said. “C’mon, seriously. What’s wrong? I’m worried. We all are.”
“You’re worried?” Kelso said from the background. “You guys, he’s totally in love!”
Hyde motioned his hand towards Eric who nodded understanding and reached over, slugging Kelso in the shoulder.
Kelso whimpered before laughing. “That was a good one.”
Y/n weakly smiled before sighing. “I’m just going through a rough time, that’s all.”
“If you’re going through something, why didn’t you tell any of us?” he asked her. “We’re your friends. We’re here for you, you know that. Especially me.”
“Yeah, I know. I just--I didn’t want to burden you guys.”
“You know you don’t. C’mon babe--Y/n,” he quickly corrected himself after receiving raised eyebrows from the group. Knowing Hyde for so long, he’s never used pet names with his girlfriends. Well, not in front of them anyway.
“Steven, I said I’m fine. Can we please drop it?” she said frustrated. “I don’t want to talk about it, especially with you guys. You don’t need to know my business. If I choose to not talk to you about it, then I don’t have to. Please respect that.”
“Look, I was just trying to help--”
“Well, don’t,” she snapped. “I don’t need it. I can handle this on my own. I’ll talk to you later. Bye.”
With that, a click was heard on the other end. Hyde pressed the phone to his forehead before hanging up himself.
“What was that about?” Eric asked.
“I don’t know, man,” he responded. “Something is wrong. I can’t just sit here. I have to go see her.” He stood, grabbing his jacket and keys off the table by the door.
“Well, let us know what she says. Babe,” Eric teased.
“Remind me to pound on you later,” he threatened before ripping the door open and practically running to his car.
Once he reached Y/n’s house, he walked up to her front door and knocked. After a minute, the door swung open, revealing her mom.
“Oh, Steven,” she greeted. “What a pleasant surprise. You must be here to see Y/n.”
“Yes, Mrs. L/n. Can I see her?”
“I don’t think that’s a good idea right now, sweetie. She’s been...in a mood lately.”
“I know, that’s why I’m here. I just want to check on her and see if she’s okay. I haven’t seen her in a while and I’m worried.”
“You’re such a sweet boy. Come on in.”
When Y/n had brought home Steven for the first time, her parents weren’t crazy about him. It’s a small town, people talk. They knew his reputation, but they couldn’t deny how good he treated her and how he even changed for her. They knew he was a sweetheart and knew about his home life. It was hard to dislike him when they saw how gentle he was with her and surprisingly affectionate. And when they saw how happy they made each other, they started growing a soft spot for him too.
Steven immediately took for the stairs, making a left and going two doors down to Y/n’s room. He raised a fist to knock, but heard soft crying from the other end. He didn’t bother to knock and just let himself in. “Doll?”
The sight he walked into, made his heart drop. Her room was dark and her curtains were closed, allowing no sunlight in. Empty glasses and dirty plates littered the room, but the thing that caught his senses was the smell emitting from the room. If she hadn’t turned around upon hearing him enter, he wouldn’t thought maybe she wasn’t alive.
“Steven, what are you doing here?” she croaked.
“Oh my God...” he trailed, taking in the sight of the room before his eyes landed on her, covered by her duvet. She was a mess. Her hair was a rat’s nest, the dark circles under her eyes were even darker, her skin was dull, and she was still in her pj’s, given that it was four o’ clock in the afternoon. “Y/n...what happened? What’s going on?”
“Please, Steven, just leave,” she begged, her voice weak.
“Not until you tell me what’s going on,” he said, standing firm. “You’re done lying to me. You need to tell me the truth. Did something happen? Did I do something?” His heart picked up slightly thinking that all this was due to him.
She shook her head meekly. “No. It has nothing to do with you. You’re perfect.”
“Then please tell me what’s wrong,” he begged, sitting at the end of her bed. “Let me fix it. Please.”
“You can’t. You can’t fix it,” she croaked in a high pitch voice, fighting her tears. “Nobody can fix it.”
His eyebrows knit together. “What’re you talking about?”
She sat up fully, facing him. She casted her gaze down to her hands, afraid of wanting to admit what was wrong. “Lately, I haven’t been feeling well.”
“Is that it? You could’ve said something and I would’ve brought you some soup or something.”
She shook her head. “Not that kind of sick.”
He looked at her in confusion. “Then what kind?”
She took a deep breath, a few tears escaping. She sniffled and wiped at her eyes. “I went to the doctor recently because I haven’t been myself. I can’t get into what normally would make me excited. I can’t eat. I can’t sleep. I’ve lost my appetite. I can’t even get out of bed to take a shower.”
“Y/n, where is this heading?”
She scrunched her face in anguish before being able to answer. “The doctor seems to think I have depression and anxiety. He recommended that I either see a therapist and psychiatrist and go on meds or admit myself into a psych ward.”
“What?” he asked in genuine shock. “Why didn’t you tell me you were feeling this way?”
“Because I didn’t know what was wrong with me!” she exploded, tears streaming down her face. “I thought I was going crazy. I was so scared you would t-think that I had l-lost my mind and l-leave m-me.” She was hiccupping, trying to get through a sentence through her sobbing. “I was afraid that you would see me as a burden and too much and leave me alone with e-everyone else.”
Hyde’s heart shattered after hearing her tear-felt confession. “Oh, baby doll. Come here.” He shifted himself up to her and wrapped her in such a tight hug, that she for the first time in weeks, she felt safe. “For the record, I don’t think you’re crazy or a burden.”
“You don’t have to lie to me, Steven. I can handle it.”
“I’m not lying,” he answered honestly and kissed her temple. “I promise I’m telling the truth. You have no idea how amazing you are.”
“No, I’m not.”
“Shut up and listen to me,” he said and pulled her back, wiping her tears with the pad of his thumb. “You are the most badass girl I know. You are smart, and funny, and kind, and so beautiful. I’ve never met a girl like you before and I love you.”
She paused, looking deeply into his steel blue eyes. That was the first time he’s ever said that to her. They’ve been together for at least three months now and they’ve never exchanged those three words before.
“You...what?”
“I love you, Y/n,” he repeated. “Just because you have something screwy going on in your brain doesn’t make you less amazing. While I agree you should get some help, it doesn’t take away how much of a badass you are. You’re the only chick who can make me laugh as hard as you do. The only one who isn’t afraid to challenge me and make me think. You don’t pretend to be someone you’re not. You don’t take people’s shit and you’re such a good friend and girlfriend. Not too mention you’re the best sex ever.”
He winked at her, making her genuinely smile for the first time in weeks.
“You promise?” she asked weakly.
“Of course I promise, Doll,” he replied, squeezing her tighter. “You just need to let me in. And tell me what I need to do to make everything better. Even if it’s just in that moment. Please.”
She nodded. “I’ll try. This isn’t easy for me.”
“And I’m not expecting it to be,” he said, rubbing her back. “I just need to know when you start to feel this way so that I can help. Even if you feel like you can’t say anything, you can do something as squeeze my hand and I’ll know.”
She nodded, burying her face in his chest. It was a comfortable silence for a minute with him rubbing her back and her trying to control her breathing. “I loemf youem too,” she mumbled in his chest.
“What?” he asked.
“I loemf youem too,” she repeated, head still buried in his chest.
“Y/n, I can’t understand you.”
She pulled away, looking directly into his eyes. “I love you too.”
He grabbed her face and pulled her in for a much needed kiss. Not just any kiss. The “I miss you” kiss and “I’m here for you” kiss. The “I need you” kiss. The “please don’t ever let me go” kiss. Everything they wanted to say to each other was said into this kiss.
When he finally pulled away to breath some air, he rested his forehead against hers. “And don’t worry, I won’t tell anyone until you’re ready.”
“Thank you,” she whispered.
“But you do realize you’re going to have to face them.”
She nodded. “I know. Will you be there with me?”
“Yes, of course, baby doll.”
“Can you do something for me now?”
“Anything. What do you need?”
“Just...just hold me.”
“As long as you need me too,” he responded and got comfortable, taking his jacket and boots off. He laid down on his side and pulled her in close, wrapping his arm around her waist. “How’s this?”
“Perfect,” she whispered.
“When was the last time you ate?” he asked her, thumb rubbing her stomach.
“Two days?” she asked, rather than state. “I don’t know. I kind of lost track.”
“Okay, what do you say we get some food in you and get you in the shower?” he asked. “Some food and a fresh shower always helps me feel better.”
“Is this your way of telling me I stink?” she joked.
He chuckled. “You know me so well.”
“Steven Hyde...” she warned.
“Yes, doll?”
“You’re lucky I love you.”
Let me know what you think! I’m always open to requests!

They Ain’t You Part 3
Chapter Summary: Reader and Rob seem to be on the same page about what they want, so why is Rob hesitating?
Warnings: gratuitous flirting, maybe some swearing, smut
Word Count: 5782
Catch Up: Part 1 Part 2
You woke the following morning, or rather, afternoon, to the sounds of people walking above you. Groggily, you stilled yourself, wondering what was going on. You could hear heavy footsteps and muffled conversation and you realized that maybe the basement wasn’t as quiet as you had hope it was. You glanced at the clock on your phone and realized that you had slept in really late. You forgot to set an alarm and the fact that this room had no windows didn’t help you to discern between night and day. It also didn’t help that you had basically been forced to stay up later than usual by the guys.
You groaned as you forced yourself out of bed and headed immediately for the bathroom.
After you were showered and dressed, you headed upstairs. All of the guys were up and in seemingly good moods and greeted you when you appeared. You didn’t spot Jason anywhere yet, which you were grateful for because you really weren’t in the mood to listen to him go on about what had happened last night. You headed straight for the coffee, grateful that someone had thought to leave you some.
“Late sleeper,” Billy pointed out.
“It doesn’t help that I volunteered myself to the dungeon,” you replied as you took a drink of your coffee. “I honestly didn’t know it was so late.”
“You hungry?” Rob asked as he too joined you for a late cup of coffee.
“Starving.”
“Let’s get lunch,” he offered. “You and I.”
“Really? The rest of us don’t get an invite?” Billy scowled as he listened.
“I think the rest of you can manage,” Rob replied as he stared at Billy. You felt as if he was warning Billy to back off a bit.
“Fine,” Billy grumbled. He turned to you and shot you a wink, as if he understood what was going on here. “But you should probably go before Jason gets out of the shower.”
You and Rob wandered for a while before deciding on a pizza place. You stepped inside the shop and the two of you each ordered a slice and drinks. The most surprising part of the day was that he made sure to pull your chair out for you when you found a table.
“So, you ready for tonight?” He asked as he sat across from you.
“I think so,” you replied. “I’m excited for my first New York show.”
“People will love you. Don’t be surprised when things start to pick up for your career.”
“Thank you.”
“I mean it, these fans are amazing. They’ve been saying nothing but good things about you on social media since the L.A. show.”
“That’s good.”
“You should sing with us tonight,” he added. “I mean on one of our songs.”
“Really? That would be fun. I love your songs.”
“Let’s do it. You’re way better than Jason anyway. Maybe I’ll replace him with you.”
You laughed, taking a bite of your pizza. “You guys are funny. You fight like brothers.”
“Yeah, well, we practically are.”
“Look, I’ll sing with you if we do ‘Gone’. It’s my favorite.”
“I was hoping you’d say that,” he said with a smile.
“I should have gotten what you did,” you said as you eyed his pizza. You had gone with boring pepperoni and his food was looking better than yours.
“Want some?”
“It’s okay.”
“Here, I insist,” he said as he held the slice up to you. You hesitantly leaned in and took a bite.
“I definitely should have went with that,” you laughed. Rob laughed as well and you found yourself feeling very comfortable with him. You both ate in silence for a bit longer and you watched as he took a drink of his coke.
“Hey, can we talk about last night?” You asked suddenly.
“Sure,” he replied. “What’s up?”
“You know what I mean.”
“Are we talking about that kiss?”
“Yeah, I just- I need to know what that was all about.”
“Why does it have to be about anything?”
“Um, because kissing sometimes means something to people. I’m not saying it meant anything to me either. But, I don't generally get kissed like that by men who are just interested in sex.”
“Well, I could ask you the same question. You’re the one who kissed me.” He raised an eyebrow at you accusingly, amused that it was even something you were thinking about.
“Yeah, but you started it.”
“I liked kissing you,” he said simply.
“I liked it too.”
“Well, we both liked it. We can just go with that.”
“Yeah, but why did it happen?”
“I don’t know. We were drinking. We got caught up in the moment. Maybe I’m very attracted to you.”
“You just go around kissing women like that all the time?”
“No,” he said simply.
“Are you what everyone says you are? I can’t believe how many of your friends have told me that you’re nothing but a player.”
“If you’re asking if I’ve ever had a relationship… not in a long time. I’m single and I happen to live that life. You’re single too, right?”
“Yeah, I am.”
“Are you telling me that you’ve never had a one-night stand or anything like that?”
“No, I’m not denying that.”
“Okay. Why is it so bad that I do it? It’s not like I lead anyone on or anything. In fact, I’m very up front about who I am.”
“For the record, I didn’t say it was a bad thing. I was just wondering if Jason is right to tell me to stay away from you. I just wanted to know if I made a mistake in kissing you.”
“Do you regret it?”
“I don’t. I just- might have been a little surprised that you didn’t even try to to take me home though.”
“Look,” he chuckled. “You’re beautiful. You’re insanely talented, you’re funny, and you’re cool as hell. I would not turn you down for anything. But, I also didn’t want to just try to jump into bed with you; not when we’re working together and Jason is literally in the same house. I prefer to make it back to L.A. alive by the end of this tour.”
“Fair enough,” you laughed.
“I could try though,” he said quietly. “I want to press my luck with you.”
“So, you are trying to sleep with me?”
He stared at you quietly, a smirk forming on his lips. He didn’t even have to say it, you knew that was exactly what he was trying to do.
“I take it you're not that kind of girl though?” he asked.
“What kind of girl?”
“The fooling around kind of girl.”
“I didn't say that,” you replied slyly.
“Well what kind of girl are you?”
“I'm the kind of girl that enjoyed that kiss. I'm also the kind of girl who is very attracted to you.”
“Good,” he smirked at he leaned across the table slightly. Those blue eyes seemed to burn right into you, almost as if he were ready for the challenge. “I think we’re both on the same page.”
“I’m also the kind of girl that’s really interested to know what other women think of you.”
“Why? Like you said before, we don’t know each other. Let’s not worry about each other’s past conquests.”
“It that what this is? Am I a conquest?”
“No,” he replied honestly. “I know you a little too well to make this a conquest.”
“Is that how you usually work though? Is that what women are to you?”
“You’re making me out to sound like a real asshole.”
“If the shoe fits…” you grinned.
“I’m not an asshole. People that I know look at me as if I’m just a player who loves women and leaves them. But, I’m very up front about who I am and what I want.”
“Well, isn’t that what flings are really?”
“I never go in lying and saying that I love anyone. There have been a few who maybe take it that way though.”
“So what? Chicks fall for you and you just cut them loose?”
“Well, yeah. Like I said, I never lead anyone on though. It’s not my fault that some women get caught up in the idea that it’s more than it really is.”
“Some people just don’t know how to conduct themselves during a one-night stand,” you joked.
“See, you get it.”
“Sorry, I just had to ask.”
“It’s fine. What about you?” He asked as he focused on his food again. “How do you conduct yourself.”
“Well, I’m certainly not a player.”
“You have relationships then?”
“No. I work a lot. I’m more focused on music. I’ve been busy writing and moving obviously.”
“But, you do date or whatever.”
“Not really, no. I guess I get what I need and move along. I don’t have time for attachment.”
“Me too. We’re a lot alike. Although, Jason seems to think differently.”
“Jason is very protective. I’ve known him my whole life. He’s always tried to keep me away from guys like you.”
“Well, he’s a good friend to you at least.”
“He likes to pretend that I’m still that innocent girl that he grew up with. Although, these aren’t thing you necessarily talk about with someone who is practically family.”
“Well, I can see why he thinks that.”
“Oh?” You replied, tilting your head questioningly at him.
“You just don’t seem like the type.”
“What type?”
“The type that sleeps around.”
“Well, now you make me sound bad.”
“I mean it. You don’t seem like the kind of girl who’s okay with flings. You try to come across as that kind of girl, but I’m not so sure that it isn’t just an act.”
“I don’t know if I should be offended or not. Are you saying I seem like a prude?”
“No. It’s a compliment. Also, I bet you have similar problems with guys thinking it’s more than just sex when they're with you.”
“Explain.”
“You just- seem like the type of girl that’s easy to fall in love with.”
“And how would a guy like you even know know that?” you grinned.
“I guess I don’t.”
You sat back and watched him, pondering the entire conversation. Surely the flirting had been there between the two of you this entire time. You were able to talk openly about who you were and what you expected. That kiss had been memorable. You weren’t one to beat around the bush when it came to asking for what you wanted, and you knew he wasn’t the type either. But, this entire time that the two of you had gotten to know each other, you both seemed to avoiding what it was that you really wanted from each other.
You wanted him; that much was obvious. He wanted you; or so it seemed. Why it was so difficult to just get to the point when apparently you were both very good at getting to the point in the past, you didn’t understand.
The conversation played out as the two of you basically setting this up. You didn’t care about what people said about him, because you knew people would speak the same way about you if you were more open about things. Right now, you knew that you wanted this to happen. The difficult part seemed to be actually getting there with him.
“You don’t strike me as the kind of guy who wastes time in talking a girl up to get what he wants,” you pointed out. “Maybe I’m reading you all wrong, but you seem to be wasting a lot of time trying to convince me of something when I think we’re very aware of what it is that you really want.”
“I think I’m just trying to talk myself out of it,” he replied.
“Really?” You asked, sort of surprised and maybe a little hurt by the fact.
“Yeah, I mean, we’re working together,” he began. “And there’s Jason. He’s one of my best friends, you know. He thinks the world of you.”
“Are we talking about the idea that it’s best to not mix work and play?”
“I think so. There’s also the whole ‘don’t fuck your best friends sister’ thing.”
“I’m not his sister.”
Rob shrugged, “you might as well be.”
“So, let me get this straight,” you started. You leaned in, focusing on him as you tried to wrap your head around what was going on here. “We kissed, you took me out to lunch, we had this discussion; both with probably the same intentions… all of this just so you could tell me that you want to sleep with me, but then you shoot me down at the same time?”
“Now I do sound like an asshole.”
“I have never encountered a man who showed this much interest, only to bomb on the follow through.”
“Maybe I’m not sure if it’s worth my time trying to be with you.”
“That was you who got my texts last night, yeah?”
“Oh,” he laughed. “Those texts. Yeah, about those…”
“That was an invite,” you said bluntly. “Or, do I need to start being more obvious?”
“For a minute there, I thought you were teasing. You did say you liked to play.”
“I do. And I was teasing,” you replied. “It was still and invite though.”
You noticed as he swallowed hard, probably just as excited as you about the possibility of what could happen.
“But,” you continued as you forced your stare away from him. “Like you said, we should probably not even consider it anymore.”
“I don’t get another invitation?”
“It’s not my fault you didn’t take me up on the last offer.”
“You really are a tease,” he said as he smirked at you. He tilted his head and narrowed his eyes at you. Obviously he was still trying to figure you out.
Later at the show, and after your own set, you stood at the side of the stage as the guys played.
“Y/N is going to join us for a song,” Jason said. The audience applauded as you joined the men on stage. You took your place between Rob and Jason, moving close to Rob to share his mic since Jason’s was out of the question in terms of you even being able to reach it.
The band began to play and you joined them in ‘Gone’, probably your most favorite song from their album.
Jason and Rob let you take most of the lead of the song; both of them watching with smiles as you belted out the lyrics. You definitely noticed the way that Rob watched you, so you made sure to make the performance extra flirty.
You finished the song with them and the audience applauded you as left the stage, letting the band finish their set with one more song.
It was after they were completely done that the guys found you, grinning ear to ear at how fun that had been.
“God, you are fucking phenomenal,” Rob breathed out. He embraced you quickly and you hugged him back as you giggled.
“That was a lot of fun,” you replied. “You guys are so amazing. I say it all the time, but I mean it.”
“You sounded amazing together,” Billy added. “Seriously, it’s like you should have been in the band to begin with.”
“Stop,” you blushed. “That was great though. Thanks for letting me be a part of that.”
“Yeah, Y/N,” Rob began. “We do sound pretty fantastic together. I bet we could be really good at a lot of things together.”
You smirked at him, pleased with the way that he seemed to stop caring about what Jason would think of his flirting.
“How about I buy you a drink,” Jason offered as he placed a hand on your back.
You let Jason lead you away, shaking your head at how he had interfered just then.
You sat mostly with Jason all night. You listened to him talk about nothing in particular; assuming that he was just trying to keep you and Rob apart. He didn’t bring up the fact that he was well aware of something going on between the two of you, but you figured he was smart enough not to. He may have always looked at you as his sweet and innocent friend, but even he knew the wrath you could dish out if he continued to tell you what you do.
You found yourself nodding along as he spoke, not really listening as your scanned the bar for Rob. When you did spot him finally, you considered ditching Jason to go talk to him, that is until you realized he wasn’t sitting at the bar alone.
He seemed to have found an admirer tonight. You watched as the woman openly flirted with him; noticing that he showed little interest. You didn’t want to make a big deal out of it, after all, you held no claim to him. But, something told you that if he was interested in a woman, this certainly wouldn’t be how he presented himself.
She was laughing and touching him a lot; all the while, Rob gave short smiles and looked off in other directions as if he were planning his escape. You didn’t want to be the girl who sat back and watched like this, but you did feel a twinge of something just by witnessing someone else hit on him.
You wondered if she would be the girl of the night. Maybe he didn’t seem interested in her, but you figured a guy like him didn’t really have to be into it in order to hook up.
Since your attention was elsewhere, Jason left eventually. He must have been bored with the fact that you were bored and you watched as he found someone else to talk to at the bar. You sighed in relief, grateful to have him off your back. You turned your attention back to Rob, taking note of the way the girl continued to flirt heavily with him. Something like jealousy boiled inside of you, wondering why he wasn’t hitting on you the way he had been this entire weekend.
After a few minutes of standing there as the girl flirted, you saw Rob excuse himself. He headed straight in your direction and you tried to pretend as if you hadn’t seen the whole thing.
“You know,” he began as he stood next to you. “For someone who talks about being a tease, you sure sit around alone a lot.”
“Maybe it’s not my intention to try to hook up with someone every night.”
“Yeah, well, maybe we’re not too much alike then.”
“You gonna take her home with you?” You asked as you stood up from your seat. You were semi-teasing and semi-jealous at the same time. You had been trying to hook up with him with no real luck. Right now, you felt as if he really wasn't interested in you, and the thought of it hurt your ego. Your first thought was to walk out of there so not to let on that you might be jealous. You wanted to see if he would chase you.
Before you could even gather your things and walk away, he was already leaning in close to you until his body was flush against yours. You felt his hand on your hip as he pressed his mouth against your ear.
“You’re the only one that I am interested in taking home with me tonight.”
“We’re already staying in the same house.”
“Then I guess it’s my lucky night.”
“What about what you said? The whole, working relationship thing and all the stuff about not fooling around with me because of Jason.”
“I moved past that pretty quickly. If you don’t care, I don’t.”
“You gonna ditch out on that girl?”
“Not interested,” he replied. “She’s not my type.”
“And I am?”
“You have no idea.”
“I’ve been waiting for you to come to your senses.”
“Let's get out of here then.”
You had every intention of going home with Rob. The idea of getting laid had you on edge the entire night. Now, you knew that he was serious about it; and you were just as serious.
Your attempt to ditch the rest of the guys and sneak out of the venue had been squashed though. Just as you began to follow Rob out the front door; Jason had caught you.
“Where are you going?”
“Just back to the house,” you replied. “It’s late and I’m tired.”
Jason turned his focus to Rob, who had also stopped as Jason stopped you.
“You’re going with him?”
“Hey, I was just going to make sure she got back safely,” Rob argued. “She’s a little tipsy and I didn’t feel comfortable letting her leave alone.”
“You could’ve just asked me,” Jason replied as he looked back to you.
“It’s fine, you’re having fun. Rob offered.”
“I’m sure he did.”
“Come on man,” Rob said impatiently.
“Stop,” you warned Jason. It was just like him to act this way with you. You could relay to him the fact that you were an adult all you wanted, he still felt the need to protect you from things that you didn’t need protection from.
“What’s going on?” You turned to face Billy who had joined the three of you.
“Nothing,” Jason replied. “Looks like some of us are taking the party back to the house again.”
“I’m down,” Billy replied, indicating that he too was ready to leave the bar.
You let out a frustrated sigh as you realized that you and Rob were definitely not going back to the house alone.
Back home, the guys continued to drink. You were almost desperate enough to just grab Rob and drag him to your room; but even you couldn’t bring yourself to make it so obvious.
“How’s the dungeon treating you?” Billy asked suddenly.
You gave him smile, “very nice actually. It’s cozy. And quiet. You wouldn’t believe the privacy I get.” you darted your eyes toward Rob as you spoke, not really meaning to make it obvious that it was a hint.
You had all but given up on the idea that you were going to get your chance with him tonight. The guys had ruined everything early on, and even as you sat here, dropping clues to Rob, you could tell that he was weary of doing anything about your flirting right now. You reminded yourself to yell at Jason later for always interfering.
Deciding that you were tired, and even more frustrated than before; you headed off to bed before anyone could even notice that you had left. You got ready for bed, knowing that you’d have to take matters into your own hands yet again tonight. Before you could even think about going that route, you got a text from Rob.
Rob: Did you turn in early?
Y/N: Do these guys seriously party all night?
Rob: We all do usually.
Y/N: Where are you?
Rob: Hiding in my room actually.
Y/N: Same.
Rob: Is it quiet down there?
Y/N: Yes.
Rob: Maybe I shouldn’t have thrown a fit about the dungeon.
Y/N: Come downstairs.
You bit your lip as you sent the last text. You knew damn well that you were being forward again, but you were tired of dancing around what it was that you wanted. Maybe all of this made you look bad, but you didn’t care. You didn’t care what Jason would say, and you didn’t even care that Rob would definitely take advantage of the fact that you wanted him and probably ignore you afterward. All you knew was that there was a lot of tension between the two of you, especially after that kiss. You only wanted to relieve that tension for your own sake.
Rob: On my way.
You heard a soft knock at your door not long after.
You felt as if you shouldn’t be doing this. You shouldn’t be here right now knowing what you knew. He was not the kind of guy who was going to love you and stick around. You knew damn well what he wanted from you. The only problem now was that you sort of wanted to know what it would be like to be with him. You had been attracted to him immediately, and that interest only grew as he let you get to know him more.
You got up and answered the door, smiling as you stepped aside to let him in.
“It is quiet down here,” he said.
“Yeah. I mean, I like to party as much as the guys too. But, sometimes I just need a night, you know?”
“I totally get it. Mind if I hang out here for a while.”
“As long as you want.”
You both laid down on your bed, getting comfortable as you slipped into a lazy conversation. Just the idea of having him here in your bed made your brain lose focus on anything but how good he looked.
He must have caught you staring at him as you muttered “uh huhs" and short answers to his questions. You weren't interested in talking anymore and he knew it.
He shifted in his spot and moved in closer to you as you lay there. He said nothing else, only leaned in to kiss you finally.
His lips brushed against yours softly at first, gauging your reaction. You moved in to meet him halfway, pressing your lips firmly against his. Now that he had the go-ahead, he deepened the kiss, humming as you parted your lips for him. You kissed like that for some time; him focusing on you and you focusing on how good this felt. He pulled away suddenly, leaving you light-headed and loopy as he focused his mouth elsewhere.
“Is this okay?” He whispered as he pressed his lips to your neck softly. You let out a sigh, not even bothering to answer him as you lost yourself for a moment. He took your silence, and the fact that you were gripping onto his shirt, as his cue to continue. He took his time; placing kisses against your skin, stopping often to suck and nibble against your neck here and there. You were already on edge, squirming against the bed as his focus stayed on your neck. His hands stayed gentle against your stomach, not daring to wander just yet.
You ran your hands up his back, stopping to caress the back of his neck before you ran your fingers through his dark curls. You gave his hair a tug and he immediately moaned against your skin. It only caused you to arch your back at the sound.
You reached down and tugged at the hem of his shirt. You weren’t really sure what you were doing in this moment, or if this was even a good idea. All you did know that it had been a long time since you had been with someone, and Rob was the first person in all that time that you often thought about in this way. You understood his reputation, he was a good-looking and charming man, so why wouldn’t he take advantage of that. Reputation aside, he was also a good-looking and charming man who was interested in you. Maybe the two of you could both take advantage of the tension that had been building between you.
Rob sat up and pulled his shirt off over his head, causing you to suck in a breath now that you could see just how gorgeous he was unclothed. You still wanted more; and when your hand began to fumble with his belt buckle, he didn’t hesitate.
Once he was undressed, he made his way between your legs, kneeling over you as his eyes took you in. You weren’t even undressed yet, but he looked at you as if you were. He reached down and placed his hands against your waist; slowly caressing up your body under your oversized sweater. The sensation of his calloused hands against your skin sent shockwaves through your body and you arched your body up again, chasing his touch. He smiled at you as he worked his hands down, stopping to tease at the waist of your tights. He slipped his thumbs under the fabric and gave you a questioning look.
“I didn’t lock the door,” you said suddenly. You were fully aware of the fact that you were about to have sex with the man, and you were also aware that there were four other men in this house who didn’t understand boundaries. You had been barged in on while sleeping in your own room enough times this weekend to know that none of them really cared about privacy.
“Yeah, I locked the door,” he grinned. You couldn’t help but think that maybe he had planned this. He leaned down to kiss you as he began to feverishly work at your tights. You moved to make the job easier for him, also sitting up so that he could remove your sweater.
“Please tell me that you have a condom,” he said as he eyed you.
“What? You didn’t bring one?” you asked as you leaned up on your elbows.
“Well, I didn’t come down here with the intent of sleeping with you.”
“Really?” You asked, not really believing him. “Because I would have thought that was your intention all along.”
“You got one or not?” He said as he rolled his eyes.
“I don’t have one.”
He frowned, looking frustrated as he moved away to reach for his jeans that he had tossed onto the floor. Just as you expected, he had come prepared. He found what he was looking for and held it up for you to see.
“Oh, you didn’t come down here with the intent, huh?” You laughed.
He grumbled slightly as he tore the wrapper open and put the condom on. He focused on you again, touching you gently before kissing you again.
“You are so fucking gorgeous,” he purred as he led you back onto the bed. His words were music to your ears. The praises he was giving to you already helped you to relax. It didn’t matter if this was just a one-night stand, that’s all you wanted as well.
He kissed you and teased you for a moment; at least until you were a frustrated mess beneath him. You gripped at his back, silently trying to lead him into what you needed. He read your cues easily and the next thing you knew, he was pushing himself into you. You gasped as he filled you, gripping harder onto his back as you raised your hips up toward him. You wanted him, and you wanted this to happen now.
He kept himself still as he focused on kissing you again. The feeling of having him inside of you was blissful, but you needed more.
“Please,” you mumbled as you broke the kiss.
“What do you need?” He asked with a smirk.
“Just fuck me already.”
He didn't verbally respond, but he pulled out of you slightly and thrust himself back into you. You moaned loudly, pressing your head back against the pillow.
“You should probably keep it down,” he warned. You considered this, especially since the other guys were still in the house and had a bad habit of bothering you in your quiet space.
He began to move steadily, building a rhythmic pace as he slowly moved in and out of you. It already felt so good, and his warning slipped your mind as you let yourself go. You gasped and moaned each time he thrust into you.
He pressed his mouth against yours finally, letting his tongue taste yours in an attempt to quiet your noises. It worked for the most part. Now your focus was on kissing him while he fucked you, the sensations of both actions already bringing you to the edge.
“Fuck, Rob,” you muttered as you broke away from his kiss. He was already moving faster, groaning against your neck and no longer worried about either of you being too loud.
You gripped onto his shoulders as he began to lose his rhythm. You could tell that he was close and so were you, so you raised your hips with each thrust that he gave.
“Y/N,” he groaned as he leaned up to look at you. The two of you made eye contact, holding each others gaze as he began to fuck into you harder. You gasped as he hit you in just the right spot, feeling the pooling of warmth in you belly. You moved to grip onto his hips, leading him into exactly what he was already doing. You needed him and you needed this.
“Please,” you moaned, voice broken, “just just like that.”
He kept his eyes focused on yours, his mouth dropping open in a low moan as the two of you worked each other closer to your releases. He gave a roll of his hips against you and you threw your head back, crying out at your climax washed over you unexpectedly. You dug your fingertips into his hips, still pulling at him with each thrust as your body shuddered from your release. Just as you began to come down from the high, he jerked against you, groaning as he reached his own climax. You heard him mutter your name as he collapsed on top of you, and you grinned as you moved to run your hands through his hair again.
After the two of you came down, steadying your breathing, he rolled off of you.
“I’m pretty sure the entire house heard you,” he breathed out. He turned to smile at you, probably impressed with himself that he had managed to make you feel that good.
You hummed in response, not really caring if they had heard. All that mattered right now was that you had gotten exactly what you wanted from him, and he had certainly met your expectations.
You reached over, placing your hands on his cheek as you led him in for another slow kiss.
“Thanks for that,” you said when the kiss ended. You gave him a quick pat on the cheek before you rolled away from him.
“Are you going to sleep?” He asked.
“I’m exhausted,” you replied.
“Uh, should I go?”
“Do whatever you want,” you mumbled. You already had your eyes closed; not even noticing if he had stayed or not when you eventually drifted off to sleep.

Diners, Drive ins, and Tope Suicidas
WRITTEN WITH JESS, KNOX, AND MIA
The Silver Moon diner was a different animal in the daytime. Free of neon lights, it was just a block of reflective chrome and baby blue. The sunlight would be glimmering from its surface, had it not been blotted out by the gray Baltimore skies. The parking lot itself was empty, save for a rather conspicuous black 1972 Jaguar XJ12 with California plates. Inside the place was empty. Behind the counter an older gentleman was counting a stack of bills for what would have been the dozenth time. The large man had come in and paid a full day’s worth of sales for him to close up, except for a short guest list during the lunch rush. And he meant pre-pandemic sales. At a booth, Matthew Knox sat with his eyes half closed, contemplative and quiet. In front of him, a glass of iced tea and a half devoured reuben sandwich. Mia had never been one for fancy cars. In fact, if she had always had a knack for picking out old Subaru station wagons and making them her own. Her current incarnation, a midnight blue, four door, comes to a stop in one of the corners of the diner’s parking lot. She eyed the Jaguar curiously, but disregarded it, it wasn’t anything that she wanted to contend with. The fancier the car, the more that could go wrong with it. She stays seated, puffing on her e-cig and blowing the air out, watching it disperse within the confines of her car. She felt her heart beating through her chest, it wasn’t everyday that you met people to try and befriend, half of which didn’t have the best of pasts with. Getting out Mia takes another hit, pacing for several seconds before exhaling. Marching to the front of the building, Mia glances sidelong through the glass and only sees Matt Knox waiting patiently by himself. Breathing a sigh of relief that she didn’t have to go in and be on her heels already, Mia takes one last deep breath off her e-cig and savors it before exhaling and entering the building after putting her mask on. Upon entering, Mia is met with the smells and sounds associated with a small hole in the wall diner. The sights, sounds, and smells that always carries the promise of amazing home cooked food and amazing pie to follow. Nostalgia takes hold of Mia briefly but she shakes it away with a shudder. Now wasn’t the time to go down those particular rabbit holes. Walking silently up to Knox’s table, she slides quietly opposite him, taking the same paper bag out and putting it on the table next to the window. Eyeing Knox, she nods in greeting before saying, “Was going to apologize for running late, but it looks like I’m right on time.” Matthew responds with a small smile, and nod. He rubs his face, which upon closer inspection shows all the telltale signs of having not slept. His right arm is in a cast which has been heavily doodled upon, and his hair is pulled back in a loose ponytail. “They’ll get here soon, i’m sure of it. Unless Adrienne has tripped and fallen down a manhole somewhere.” He pays his own joke a small chuckle, and Mia smiles slightly, awkwardly. She realizes in that moment that up until now, she had never really reached out to get to know people outside of The Forsaken. What exactly was she doing? She blinks at Knox, unsure how to proceed but then realizes the effects of her THC pen were starting to take hold and her stomach grumbles unhappily. Oh yeah, it had been a little bit before she ate. “So… What’s good here?” “The Key Lime pie is like a sexual experience. Everything else is wonderfully greasy, and unhealthy. I’d go with whatever your trainer told you never to eat again.” He smiles friendlily at this, leaning back into the booth and taking a drink of his iced tea, “I’d like to come here after smoking a bit of California green, but then I'd never fit back into my ring pants.” Hearing the mention of the green stuff, Mia relaxes a bit. Former smoker or not, it has been Mia’s experience that anyone who smoked pot was a person that could be trusted. Looking over at a nearby menu, Mia orders some hash browns, covered in cheese, onion, and ham, with a grilled cheese with dill pickles on it. A vanilla shake with a glass of water completes the order, but her eye never leaves the case filled with various pies. Presently, a sleek, jet black Dodge Challenger pulled into the Silver Moon’s parking lot. It was pristine, the sun glinting off the curves. It also had a small green sticker with a stylized white ‘E’ affixed to the back. The bell on the door rang as Mitch Heart strode in, shooting off a text as he walked before flopping unceremoniously into the booth. “Hey, Knox. Hey, A--” His gaze shot up, eyeing the unfamiliar- to him, anyway- woman across the table, his head swivelling to the older man with a raised brow. His body seemed to tense somewhat, losing the relaxed demeanor it had before. “...Knox? Thought it was just gonna be you, me, and Ade.” Obviously this was the Mitch Heart Knox had been talking about. Mia looks him up and down while taking a drink, setting down her glass and washing it down with a swig from her milkshake. She smiles politely after wiping her mouth off and stands, offering her hand to Mitch in the process. “The name is Mia. I uhm… Come in peace?” “She’s good people, Mitch. Comes in peace, bearing gifts,” He waves a hand “I wouldn’t have brought her here if I thought it was shady. Had to be semi secretive because..well. Ade DDT’d her last time they saw each other. But after she says her piece, it’ll just be the three of us. Swear.” Mia takes her seat again and pulls her shake close to her, taking another swig and savoring the sweetness. “Speaking of… Where’s the last member of this wonderful party of ours?” A hooded figure on a beat up 10 speed cruised by slowly. That person had taken a few moments trying to secure a chain around the frame and a nearby light pole. That person was Adrienne. She stuck out like a sore thumb with knock off Jackie O’s, hoodie, and leggings. Entering the diner, she had seemed to come right into some tense standoff with the expected company and someone she had only met in a tense and physical encounter a few months back. Keeping her hands in her hoodie pockets, Adrienne stepped towards the occupied table. “Hello?” “Hey.” Mitch looked relieved to be in mostly familiar company, and yet, despite that and Knox’s vouching, he still seemed on edge, his hands gripping the sleeves of his red and white Anthony Mantha jersey, occasionally picking up his phone and checking it before putting it back down again. “So… what’s going on?” Taking a sip of his iced tea, Matt motioned with his hand before speaking “Mia, I believe this is your cue. And Hi Ade. Nice hoodie!” he remarks, before settling in. He felt like he’d need to smooth this over after, but hopefully Mia would make his job a little easier. Adrienne took a seat next across from Mia and Mitch. She took off her shades as it would have been rude to have them with company. “Right. So…” Mia puts her the shake she was working on down. “Don’t know how closely anyone has paid attention, but several weeks ago, our kind and benevolent DICKtator, C$J put a bounty on my head; or Amelia’s to be precise.” She pauses and shifts her weight, uncomfortable with all eyes on her but soldiers forward, “So when I took hold of my own contract from C$J, I also went back and claimed the bounty on myself.” She pushes the paper bag into the middle of the table and waits dramatically, working on her shake as she does so and finally finishing it up. “Ten thousand dollars right there gentlemen and lady. C$J gave me quite the contract and I’m sure he’s regretting that decision now. I don’t need the money and I want to make sure at least a little bit goes to the people on the roster that actually DESERVE to have good things happen to them every once in a while.” She shrugs, “So I went to Knox since I’ve only met him and asked him about who deserves this kind of payday. Lo and behold the two of you were the names he said without hesitation. So, I’m here to gift you both with the contents of that very bag.” She sits back and casts another glance at the pie case, wondering exactly what kinds there were, but decides to wait until after her food shows up. She eyes Mitch; deciding to get it in a “to go container seems to be the best bet. Adrienne broke the silence. While that last encounter had been violent, a lot of things had happened recently. And maybe it would be worth just hearing her out. “...a bounty? Like to hurt you?” Mia’s eyes snap back to the woman in front of her and shrugs her shoulders. “Yeah, I guess. ‘Take me out’ as it were. It’s not the first time something like this has happened and probably won’t be the last. But…?” She raises her arms and smiles at the trio, “Each of them have failed and I am still alive and healthy in front of you.” “...I don’t want any of it.” Mitch’s words were practically a mumble, his gaze flicking from the tabletop to the bag of cash and back. Part of him did. Part of him really did. But he could practically see the strings attached. Nobody gives away that kind of scratch for free, least his logic said so. “I can take care of myself. Thanks.” “Maybe Mitch means,” Adrienne interjected, “Is someone going to be looking for this? I haven’t really met this guy but he’s out there putting bounties on his own employees and it's rumored that the Stan guy who was stalking me was hired just for those sort of purposes.” Mia’s face turns sour at the mention of Stan’s name, “Inspector Stan is no mas. Turns out he wasn’t cut out for in ring work and hasn’t been seen since he was in the ring with Amelia and that other chick whose name escapes me.” Mia thinks on it for a second and shrugs, “Don’t really care at the moment. In terms of people looking for that bag of money? You have nothing to worry about. In the state of Maryland, permission is required to place a bounty on anyone, let alone a current employee. C$J had no such thing and was all talk. I’m sure the punishment for doing such a thing, ESPECIALLY had anything happen to me, would be steep and all it took was a little prodding with that info for him to drop the bounty and give me the money. What happens to it from here? Not his concern.” Matthew, through all this has remained silent and taken to rolling a cigarette between his thumb and forefinger, listening intently. He does eventually speak, not long after Mia finishes, “Okay, but Christopher isn’t an idiot. Much as he plays one on TV. He probably didn’t give a shit about legality before, and now? I imagine he just wants to hurt people,” Matt adjusts in his seat, a frown taking over his features “The money, you two take it if you want it but Mia if anyone asks either you say you kept it, burned it, or hell. You gave it to me.” He shakes his head, disgusted, “Sorry Mitch, Ade. Didn’t know there was this much attached to it.” Adrienne considered all of this. Every time she tried to drop a line about her contract situation, it was summarily ignored. Maybe she wasn’t being aggressive enough. Despite being in a fortunate situation, her wallet still was coughing mothballs. Her fingers apprehensively touched the bag. “Mia. I’m thankful that you considered us. I can’t understand what you’re going through with this but perhaps Mitch and I will talk about this privately. It’s a big decision.” She paused, looking at Mia directly. Adrienne didn’t have the best knowledge of what had been going on. However what she saw was a conscious effort to reach out. To just have someone to talk to possibly. “In the meantime, don’t be a stranger.” Mia nods and stands to leave. “Just… I didn’t come here to get anyone in trouble, I didn’t come here to set anyone up for a downfall. I’m not walking out of here with that bag. For all I care, you can leave it there, you can toss it to the next panhandler you see, hell you can even leave it for the next lucky patron. I promise each of you…” She looks at each one, her gaze lingering on Adrienne perhaps a second longer, “I wasn’t lying when I said that I come in peace.” She winks and proceeds to head up the the register, cashing out for her food and ordering a slice of the peanut butter pie to go. Matthew watches Mia depart, before turning his attention to Ade and Mitch “Sorry I sprung that on you two. Didn’t know if you’d have heard her out otherwise.” he explains, shifting in his seat. “Would’ve been nice to know. But it’s cool.” He exhales, the iron curtain around him seeming to lift, his posture relaxing as he flags down a waitress for some coconut cake and coffee. “Sorry about the phone, and me being late, I was just getting set up at the hotel, making sure Pen’s settling in okay. Kid’s having a ball, you’d think we were at Disneyland. Gotta bring her back some of that sugar-free cherry pie though.” Sighing, he poked at the bag of cash. “So yeah. I guess we have to think of something to do with this fu-- this thing.” "Well, you got options. None of which is her taking it back, though," he sighs, rubbing the bridge of his nose "How are you two holding up, anyway? Feel like it's been ages." “Okay. Like I said, you shoulda seen Pen on the way here. Had her cute lil’ nose pressed to the window the whole time, even the real boring parts. She can’t wait to meet all of you- ‘specially you, Ade- but I thought it’d be best she just rest up after all that excitement.” Mitch chuckled fondly in spite of himself, thanking the waitress for the cake and coffee before setting to filling the mug the rest of the way with cream. Adrienne smiled at that. She had exchanged a few brief calls with Mitch’s little sister. The first was her thanking Ade for the signed chair. Others were just brief small talk. Adrienne would listen, answer her questions, tell her a little bit about herself and they’d be right as rain. Looking to Matt, she replied honestly, “I haven’t slept well recently but maybe it's just nerves. I talked to Axton recently. I don’t expect you two to understand but,” she paused, twirling a lock of her hair around her finger, “things will be okay eventually.” "I try not to think of Gunn. But your optimism is refreshing" his gaze shifts to Mitch, "She ever traveled this far? Even that boring shit was new awesome to us, the first few times at least." “No, never.” Mitch shook his head, plucking the vibrant red cherry off the top of his cake with two fingers and popping it into his mouth. “Never really had the means to take much of a vacation. Did scrape together enough to take her to Michigan’s Adventure once. She rode every ride she wasn’t too short for and couldn’t have been happier if she’d been a millionaire’s kid.” He seemed happy, speaking this way. As if merely mentioning happy memories with his kid sister briefly was enough to cut through dozens of hardened layers of cynicism and strife. It seemed to slide back into place as he changed subjects, though. “Anyway. I try not to think of Axton a ton either, but if he was cool to you? Maybe there’s hope for the kid yet. Or maybe you’re just good at bringing out people’s chill. It’s a nice quality to have.” “I’m personally going to be putting my confidence in the latter,” Matt spoke with the bluntness that either endeared him, or made him one of the more infuriating people on the roster “But, on to happier stuff. Not as happy as Pen and her world travels, I confess,” he paused, paying Mitch a smile. Knox enjoyed seeing The Broken so...together? Talking about his kid sister was like a whole new person. Made him almost as bubbly as Ade could be, “Divorce should be final, and after a lot...a lot of liquidation, and dealing with lawyers and bankers and people who make C$J look like the paragon of virtue and ethics...I am officially homeless, and looking to move to Baltimore, as keeping with the trend Ade has set.” “To be fair, I sort of ran away.” Adrienne knew how ridiculous that sounded but she wasn’t too sure how to put it. “It was the only way.” She cleared her throat before continuing, “But, this is good, right? Closure?” “Yeah. And, lets face it. If I haven’t tanned by now, it’s never gonna happen. No, I think the drear suits me much better.” He said thoughtfully, staring out the window and not-so-subtly dodging the deeper question posed, “Come on, lets eat up. If neither of you two take that, we’ll call it a tip.” Adrienne eyed the bag. Then Mitch. Then back to the bag. “Some of it could help, Mitch.” Mitch gave a glance to his left, then his right. Out the window. Mia was long gone. The bag was just sitting there. Nobody was offering it directly now. She wouldn’t know. As surreptitiously as possible, Mitch snagged a few stacks of bills from the back, jamming them in his hoodie pocket, going back to cake and conversation as if nothing had happened. Matthew took a beat to watch Ade and Mitch talk, a smile creeping onto his face as he lifts the reuben to take a bite. Yeah.. This was home.

Hierarchy-Chapter 11

⇄ A/N: I decided to just post a lot today. I’m working on editing TDoL (the Baekhyun x reader series) and straightening out the story line the way I want. I think the next update for that ‘series’ would be by next week. I’ll keep a hiatus on Flow and I’m planning on doing a full member series with BTS. But I might not. Anyways enjoy and stay safe and healthy!
“W-why? I did everything.” You whisper, instant terror washing over you. It seemed like your mouth moved before you thought.
“Heh. I didn’t actually think you were alive. I did have a hunch, but never really cared. But, now that you’re here, let me tell you a... secret.” He smirks, leaning close to your ear. You flinch as he comes closer to you.
“Jeong-Hui looks lovely today.” He whispers, a chill ran down your spine as you clenched your fists.
“It is fortunate she’s wearing black, it’ll hide...” He trails off as he looks in the distance.
“What?” You hope you sounded stronger than you thought.
“The blood.” He finishes, leaning back and giving you a light smirk. To anyone else it could look like he was telling a joke to you. But you saw behind it, seeing the calculating gaze in his eyes, and how his smile didn’t quite reach his eyes.
“Please, don-” You were cut off by multiple gunshots and screams. You swirled your eyes to the direction of the noise.
Suddenly, the majority of the people in the ballroom ran towards the main entrance, the rest pulling out their own fire weapons. You pull against the crowd trying to find anyone.
“Jeong-Hui!” You called out, praying she’s just with Lay.
“See you later, black bird.” You heard the man in white whisper in your ear. When you turned around, he had already disappeared in the crowd. His last words ring in your ear as you stare into the crowd.
Another round of gunshots brought you back to reality, they all came from the main entrance. Then, the herd of people scattered.
You saw Chanyeol and Sehun both with handguns pointed at the direction of the gunshots.
You met Sehun’s gaze, you saw him nod and nodded back. As you slipped towards his direction, he used his free hand to pull out an extra handgun and tossed it to you.
You easily grabbed it with one hand, scoffing at the expensive brand.
“Filthy rich.” You muttered, making Chanyeol raise an eyebrow. You twirl the gun around as you roll your eyes at him.
You quickly clicked the safety off. You spotted Baekhyun already armed and quickly moved to him. As you started to shoot in the same direction as them.
“Where’s Lay and Jeong-Hui?” I asked him, keeping my eye out for anyone suspicious.
“Wait, what? Lay said Jeong-Hui went to you.” He responded as he widened your eyes towards you.
“Fuck.” You curse as you peek around the column. “Cover me.”
“Wait! You can’t ju- never mind just go.” Baekhyun mutters as he comes behind you and begins to shoot.
You scale the area of the ballroom until you spot Lay.
“Sung-Ri- Holy shit you can’t hold that.” He points at the gun in your hand, his eyes wide.
“What?” You ask confused until you remember that he doesn’t know. You shake your head. You would deal with that later. If you were alive later. “Where’s Jeong-Hui?”
“With... you?” He questions.
“Jesus.” You curse again. “I’m going.”
“My god, what the fuck is happening?” He asks himself. You nod as you agreed.
You run to the herd of people who are starting to become cornered. You heard more gunshots above you that slowly started to kill off the people in the herd.
You look above you and see snipers on the roof. You lifted the gun, aiming carefully before shooting in the direction of one of the snipers.
You quickly hid behind a marble column. You quickly peeked to see that the sniper you shot at fell from his perch and landed on the floor of the ballroom, a stark contrast between his blood and the white marble floor.
Right afterwards, there were several shots in your direction. You curse as pieces of the column begin to crack off from the bullets.
You quickly pulled out your phone.
“Jeong-Hui.” You whisper-yelled into the phone when someone answered.
“Unnie!” You heard Jeong-Hui's muffled voice on the other end.
“Hear that?” You heard the voice of the man in white, clenching your jaw.
“Don’t.” You threaten as you look around, trying to spot anything.
“Don’t what?” The man challenged back.
“She has nothing to do with anything.” I insist, gripping the gun.
“Nothing, huh. Well, it seems like she has the greatest assassin and one of the most powerful mafia leaders right around her finger.” You heard Jeong-Hui gasp.
“Oh. You didn’t know... That just makes things more interesting.” You quickly heard the phone line go dead after that.
You screamed out in anger. You were compelled to chuck your phone at the floor, but you wanted to see if Baekhyun could track them.
“What the fuck?” You hear Lay curse.
“Who the hell is the chick with the machine gun?” He mutters. You start hearing the rapid fires of a machine gun a few columns away from you.
You cursed over and over until you decided to risk it. It didn’t matter, you didn’t matter. As long as Jeong-Hui was safe.
You ran right out into the open, dashing towards one of the exits, hoping that the man in white didn’t try anything. Or that you wouldn’t get shot dead.
You thanked the heavens that you found a group of bulky men usher a white figure.
“Stop.” You demanded, seeing that Jeong-Hui was already muffled in the man in white’s arms. You point the gun straight to his head.
“Don’t test me, I’m starting to get annoyed.” He frowns as the men around him point their firearms in your direction.
“Not until you get through me.” At any other situation, you would’ve cringed at the cheesy line, but you didn’t care.
But after hearing that single word from his mouth, your knees buckled and you swayed, losing balance. You see Jeong-Hui’s muffled screams as your vision failed you and darkness filled everything.
“Avifauna.”
Chanyeol POV
I cursed as I saw the girl named Sung-Ri run out in the open to one of the smaller exits. Is she stupid?
Honesty, the fact that she could handle a weapon like an expert and curse like a sailor took me harder than just her running out in the open.
I shot a sniper that was aiming for her, smirking as I heard the muffled thump of the dead body.
I look over to see that the sounds of the machine gun suddenly stop. I look over to see the woman who was firing, a shocked look crossed over my face as I recognized her. I see a dark from loom over her.
I shake my head. I couldn’t worry about her right now, not after she just dropped that type of information on me.
I looked towards Sehun, he nodded to Jeong-Hui's direction. I nodded back, sneaking towards the direction she went.
Luckily, I wasn’t too far away from her.
I saw a somewhat familiar man in white holding a muffled girl in black with Sung-Ri in front of him.
I vaguely heard what he said before Sung-Ri's eyes rolled to the back of her head and she started to sway.
I ran to her, catching her before she hit the ground.
When I looked up, the man with the girl, with his minions where gone. I looked in the distance, confused, they didn’t even have a car or anything.
I looked down at Jeong-Hui, for some reason, I felt a compelling force to observe her. Maybe it was my instincts or something else, but I tilted her head so I could see her better.
I memorized every inch of her face. I was even surprised with myself, seeing as I usually don’t look twice at a girl before getting what I need.
I coughed out, coming back to reality. I pulled out my phone dialing a number.
“I need a lift.”

It's more than complicated Gabe x Reader
It’s not like you didn’t know any better. It’s just the fact that you cannot tell your heart or mind what to do and that was going to be your biggest problem. You lived in a small apartment not down town, away from the crazy nights and drunk people. Your neighborhood was quiet and peacfull at some point. You were a hunter since the beginning because your parents were hunters and no they are not dead. You’re not hunting out of revenge because some motherfuckers killed your family, no. You kill those bastards because they deserve to be killed. You were in your young thirties when you first met the boys. Their dad was appearantly good friends with yours. So you talked, hang out, became friends, handled a job or two and everything was just fine until one other dude stepped into the duo you were dealing with. To be around two hot guys was challenging enough. It was a good thing you saw them as brothers but this dude was like holy mother of unicorns. He had greenish eyes, blond fluffy hair and was actually the only guy who looked hot with that stupid half smirk on his face. You were working a case in the bunker with the boys when this dude appeared out of no where just behind Dean. You jumped up immidiatly and pulled your gun, ready to shoot. “Hello, Boys!….Chimmy Changa who is that beautiful chick?”, he said very enthusiastically and you frowned. “Who are you?”, you barked and focused on every move he made. “Dean I think this is inapropriate…”, he said and was joking? and you raised a brow. You thought Dean was an ass but this dude? “Y/N put the gun down. He is a friend. Well not really but he is not an enemy.” It took you a few moments before you put your gun down back to it’s place. You sat down slowely watching the new guy sceptically still ready to react. “So much tension in her body..”, the weird guy said and you furrowed your brows in defense. “Yeah maybe she would lighten up if you would introduce yourself and she could see you’re not a threat.”, Sam mumbled while scrolling down on his Laptop. “I read somewhere that human beings loose tension when they reach their high point as known as an orgasm. Maybe I should…”, he started but Dean cut him off immediatly as he recognized my gaze and where this was going. “Just…just tell her your name, dumbass. My god.”, he mumbled and added something else which you couldn’t quiet understand. “Well it is a pleasure to meet you Y/N. My name is Gabriel and I’m an angel of the lord…no threat as Sam said.”, he introduced himself and kept staring at you. “Angel as in the archangel?”, you said breathlessly and he shrugged it off. “The one and only. I’m flattered.” “You know a freakin’ Angel, an ARCHANGEL, and you never felt like…telling me?”, you growled and looked at Dean and Sam who just shrugged. “Was it important?”, Dean asked and by the noises his Laptop made you could tell that he was not doing research. “Oh, I don’t know maybe it would’ve been helpful here and there.”, you said and threw a pen at both of them. “Jackasses.”, you mumbled under your breath and glanced back to the angel which happened to be a mistake because you couldn’t get your eyes off him. He was weird, yes. But also cute and funny. After a longer staring contest Gabriel furrowed his brows and cleared awkwardly his thoat. That was your call to leave the room before your head exploded. “I-I need a cold one. Anyone else?”, you stuttered and stumbled your way into the kitchen facpalming yourself in your mind. What was happening? Stupid hot-looking angel guy. Y/N concentrate. You’re on a job trying to save lifes. Be professional. *** That was the one thing you always told yourself to do when Gabe, as he told you to call him, was around and lately he was around alot. And since the brothers told you to stay away from him the tension between you two grew to an unbareable point. Also he started to block you out since the brothers had the talk with you. One night it was so frustrating that you couldn’t get the angel out of your head you decided to go to a bar. You couldn’t concentrate. your mind went to places you wouldn’t want anyone to know. Well, maybe only one person… You pushed the door open and found yourself a place at the bar and ordered shots. After your fourth one you started to feel relaxed. But the voice you heared behind you didn’t help you get loose. “Y/N.” It was Dean. “What are you doing here?”, he asked you and looked at the empty shot glasses. “Getting drunk. What does it look like to you?”, you lulled and it sound more like ‘Gettndrnk.Wutdsitloookliketoyu?’ “Wow.”, he exhaled and sat down next to you. After a moment of silence and him ordering a drink and a water for you you touched his shoulder. “Why did you tell me to stay away from Gabe?”, you blurted out and held your head up with your hand putting your elbow on the counter. “Because he is a douche.”, he said not looking at you and you frowned. “So are you.”, you told him and he laughed but he was not amused. I pushed his shoulder so his chair turned around and he was looking at me. “And I still can do this.” You didn’t think about it. You just leaned in and pressed your lips against his. But as you touched his lips you aleady felt that it was wrong. It wasn’t how you imagined it to be. Because in your imagination it was always Gabe you kissed. You pulled away and looked him into his eyes. “That wasn’t good.”, you blurted out again and he rolled his eyes. “Your drunk. You should go home.”, he told me and I crossed my arms over my chest like a four hear old. “But I don’t wanna.” You can imagine how that sounded. Oh boy. I don’t even how but right before I saw Gabe behind Dean I knew he was here. I frowned and looked away. “I’m not going anywhere and you can keep your water. I need another shot. Or ten.”, I mumbed to myself and ignored Deans protest. “I saw that.” it was Gabes kinda hurt voice right next to you and his voice sent shivers down your spine. “Saw what?”, you said and didn’t bother to look up. “You kissing Dean like he is some mother effin kiss-dispenser.”, he said and sounded angry this time. “Why do you care?” I turned around to him and my eyes met his green ones which took my breath away. We couldn’t say anything for a moment and I swear I could’ve cut through the air if I had a knife. “Y/N come on. We should go.”, it was Dean grabbing my arm and before I could even open my mouth I felt how Gabe shot up to let his fist meet Deans face. “what the hell?!”, I yelled and I forced them to seperate. It was unbelievable to see an archangel get into a fist fight with a human. “Dean go home I’m gonna handle this.”, I said glaring at Gabriel. Dean opened his mouth to protest but Gabriel flicked his fingers and Dean was gone. My mouth dropped open and I was about to yell at him when he said:“Don’t worry. I didn’t kill him even if I wanted to. I sent him home.” “How dare you!”, I yelled at him and he rolled his eyes, took my hand and before I could even blink I found myself inside my apartment. I was obviously looking confused and angry so felt the need to explain. “I thought you this would be a more comfortable place to fight.” He was obviously mocking you and that made you furious. “Get out.”, your voice was without any emotion. Ice-cold. “Y/N come on. Let’s talk about this.”, he offered and reached out or you but you stepped back. “NO! Get the fuck out!”, you yelled at him and he frowned. “I wasn’t the one kissing other people. I should be mad at you. Not the other way around.” “I’ve got all the reasons to be mad at you!” “Is that so?”, he was getting unpatient with you but you didn’t care. You were still drunk. “Yeah it is. How dare you to talk to me because I kissed someone, after ignoring me for so long? How dare you act like you can claim me as yours after you blocked me out for so long!”, I yelled at him furiously. “Because I love you!”, he shouted at you and you stumbled a few steps back shocked from the power he was radiating. “And I can’t be with you if I want you to be safe and alive!”, he kept yelling and suddenly you felt really small. But your ego wasn’t statisfied yet. “Then show me. Prove that I am important to you because Gabe I am tired of your shit. And if your not intrested leave me alone for the rest of my life so I can get over you!”, you said and your voice was shaking. He didn’t bother to say anything for a while and he just stared at you. You opened your mouth to bann him out of your life when he came straight at you, grabbed your arms, sat you on the kitchen counter, stood between your legs and kissed you passionatly. You had to pull away after a while eventually because of the so called problem breathing. “I should let you get over me but I am an egoist. I always have been.”, he told you and leaned down a second time to place a kiss on your forehead. The purest and most meaningfull kiss of all time.
Hey guys! I hope you’re having a great day because I am! I finally have some time to write. I am really open for critics. That’s it from me!
