I'm going to give a presentation on period underwear tomorrow and make the two men in the class briefly (ha) uncomfortable
#the research topic was an innovation in textiles that's in use or development#I originally was going to do spider silk but the more I research the more it sounds like artificial spider silk is a scam#spiders are very cool and it's an act of hubris to think humans can achieve their level of fiber sophistication#I was also interested in SPACE FABRIC but am not 100% sure that it counts as a textile. strictly speaking#the challenge now is to find informative sources on how period underwear works#also there's only 9 people in the class
