This song is already so nostalgic and then she has to throw in a reference to her mOther’s house??? Talented brilliant spectacular amazing

The reference to a birthplace right next to the places Florence used to drink is so powerful!! A place she was given life and a place she went to to escape it! WOW!!!

This just reminds me of how in her live shows she sometimes gets the audience to hold hands with a stranger and I’m just :,)

11. We climbed onto the roof of the museum and someone made love in the grass

I love how this line mixes love and nature! It’s so powerful and so very Florence (PLUS THE WAY SHE SINGS GRASS!!! FRICK! I have never cried over the word grass before this song)

These lines really capture the idyllic nature of nostalgia and the peaceful feeling you get when you reminisce. Just hearing Florence say this makes me feel so warm and comforted :)

I cannot emphasise enOugh how much I love this bridge! I love how it’s just a snowball of Florence’s ponderings and doubts and concerns, all backed up by the most beautiful and most comforting music that just feels like a warm hug amidst the worry :,)

This is one of those lines that I don’t understand at ALL but wow does it make me feel THINGS!

For me this line is more about the feeling than anything else! Like could I explain to someone what it means? No. But do I completely and utterly understand what she’s talking about?? Hell yeah I do!! The green is so green babey!!! But for real this line means so much to me :) Even though I can’t exactly place why. All I know is that I ascend when I hear it
