All in all… this year kicked my ass. Super hard. We had two deaths in our families this year: a family dog passed suddenly and unexpectedly on her side, and, for the first time in working memory, I’ve lost a grandparent. Work was hard for both of us this year, as well as moving to a new area.

But I did come out of this year with friends new and old, new interests to love and explore, and a wife to love for a lifetime.

Next year, I return to therapy. I create again. I learn again. I strive for compassion every day. I ask nothing more of myself than living. 2025 will be the year of me. Loving me, helping me, supporting me.

There are many things I dread that may and will come to pass next year. Things won’t be easy. They might be harder than before. But now I have a blank page to write on again. Everything I’ve planned and hoped for has come to pass—so it’s time to decide what I want out of the rest of my life. I am not alone. I never was.

Into the future we go.

OMG!! This is the Toxhards they are so wonderful they recently put out a 'sequel' (?) to this song called The Butcherman's Lament(original song is Aengus the Prize Winning Hog) and its wonderful theres so much lore and they're a great band! highly recommend
