“Hey,” Robbe said, and the other boys at the table quieted down, their curiosity now also prioritizing the lone Jens sliding into the picnic table. “Where’s Lucas?”

“Sleeping,” Jens answered shortly, settling down on the bench and lifting his head to look at his friends.

“Holy shit!” “Woah!” Moyo and Aaron shouted concurrently, making multiple overtired teenagers turn to glare. Robbe ignored them, grabbing Jens’ face with one hand and turning it toward him to get a better look. “What the hell happened?”

A mix of purple and black encircled Jens’ left eye, traveling up and disappearing under a band-aid adhered to his temple. The skin directly below his eye was swollen and glossy from what Robbe guessed was some type of ointment. Another small bandage was plastered over the bridge of his nose, a dot of red bleeding through and standing out on the tan material.

“Nothing,” Jens declared, jerking out of Robbe’s hold. “Just drop it.”

Or, When Jens and Lucas gain mysterious injuries neither of them will openly talk about, Robbe is reminded of his and Sander’s attack and is concerned for his friends.

to get a clearer idea of what i sort of mean:

robbe is xie lian. sander is hua cheng. sander worships the ground robbe walks on from the moment they meet, just as hua cheng looks to xie lian with the reverence he always knew he deserved.

xie lian’s fractured relationship with feng xin & mu qing and many terrible instances of bad luck that occurred over centuries made hua cheng’s adoration something that could almost overwhelm him, because it’s the kind of devotion & loyalty he’s not been used to. robbe similarly enough has a pretty faulty relationship with the broerrrs—jens, moyo, aaron— and his sad home life , so when sander comes in the picture and practically falls over himself to show robbe how worthy of love and happiness he is, robbe can’t even believe that any of it was real (even more so after britt stupidly made robbe think that sander’s entire infatuation with him wasn’t actually real since he’s bipolar, when it was—)

also, if i may add, it’s been said hua cheng constructed statues upon statues of xie lian to show that he’ll always be remembered…..sander was an art student. he drew sketches upon sketches upon sketches of robbe throughout s3. he drew a whole mural of robbe’s face in a public area where a majority of people would see.

something something my brain thought of robbe & sander from wtfock and now can’t stop thinking about them (this happens a lot) something something my brain making a connection that they actually remind me a bit of xie lian & hua cheng from tgcf and it just hits so hard, like holy fuck wait i think i’m onto something here

You know what I realised tho retwatching S3 they actually had way more ads than we realised at the time. The Broerrrs filming the halloween vlog content in the clip, the tunnel scene where Robbe starts filming Sander after he said he forgot his phone at home, the Milan Moyo prank, the secret Santa footage, Noor working at C&A. Until Wtfock really sold out in S4 I didn't notice all these things as ads but actually they weren't too over the top so I don't mind them

Wait what was the secret Santa footage? And what about robbe filming sander in the tunnel was an ad? I dont remember that being an ad? Do you mean because of the phone? I just think wtfock forgot that literally in the scene before Robbe had no phone cuz they careless asf.

I have noticed in this newgen they really reeled back the ad placement because my god the last season of OG wtfock were so intense with the ads. I dont even think I have seen an Ad in Anais season yet or I can't think of one. Someone fact check me if there has been an Ad in Anais season. But for now they really stopped doing that. Which thank god it was so damn annoying. It ruined the experience when randomly a "Gym" ad would happen.

Robbe knew his best friend. He could see when he was sad, sense when he was angry, feel when he was happy. It was a skill he prided himself on. So when Lucas came along, Robbe could tell that Jens was in love.

He saw the looks Jens gave the new boy from across the courtyard, full of awe and yearning, but every time Jens turned back to their lunch table, Robbe pretended he didn’t notice.

Robbe also knew how scary it was to recognize that what you felt was love. So he didn’t tease, or laugh, or judge.

He knew it was what Jens needed.

I remember when I watched the date clip live and Robbe had messaged the Broerrrs a few hours earlier saying he couldn’t meet up because he was busy and I was so sure the Broers would walk in and they’d be busted but then it turned out to be 1000x worse

Oh it was just so much worse than anything we could have expected. I still wish we had gotten a proper conversation between Robbe and the broerrrs about what happened that night, because we know Robbe never told them. ESPECIALLY with Jens, cause we saw how protective he was after a Robbe came out, imagine how he would have reacted to finding out what really happened that night Robbe got into that “fight.” Ugh.
