Coffee On The Horizon World Building
Alright, so there's... A lot more that goes into this because there's more to be included than just "coffee shop". As well as more than just me and my friends. We are working on a layout for it, so I'll add that whenever we get it done!
Okie dokies... Starting off, I'll start with explaining a bit of my friends and I and the start of the shop. We decided it would open up about the middle, near the end, of HC-8. The opening takes place September 15, 2021. Location I'll explain a bit more later. We somehow got quite a crowd, and news of our shop spread like wildfire.
As for me and my friends... Here's the list and what all of our jobs are:
Melon C. Tea - Owner
Nine Diamond - Owner
Bri Walker - Assistant Manager
Fox Rona - Baker
Carter R. Lorena - Night Shift Manager
Nellie Stormcall - Doesn't actually work there, just "volunteers"
Quill Stormcall - Coffee Maker/Cash Register
Arc Solara - Mechanic/Technician
Nyx Solara - Drinks/Cleaning
Micah Kline - Drinks/Baking
Viole A. Shen - Drinks/Cash Register
Cat Pie Desert - Drinks/Cash Register (eventually just the Bookkeeper)
Enen Etrellin Amanita - Baker/Drinks (their own kind of specialty drinks)/Advertising/Media Manager
And lemme just say that... We have so many bits, on top of the bits we have because of our time together, we've just added more. Also relationships! We have three sets of siblings. One I'll leave secret until someone asks or I share the snippet of once the scene revealing it is done! As for the siblings, we've got Quill and Nellie, sisters. Then Nyx and Arc are siblings, though most aren't aware of that or just don't suspect they are. Which we all find hilarious.
Melon and Nine are married. Soulmates. Fox and Bri are soul bound and they argue a lot but it's all just a bit. We have a lot of soul bound bits and they're all so amazing. Nellie and Viole, Melon and Nine, me and Melon (more so we're just argument duo, is just a silly thing). Fox has a bit with microwaves, usually microwaving people or throwing it at them. 🤣
We're all silly goofballs who pick on each other and have fun. We of course can be serious tho, and would take our jobs as such but we prefer to be relaxed. Unless someone messes with our family. Anything more involving us, I'll answer any questions, otherwise, time to move on!
Location time! So... I don't have an actual map of the place this takes place. I do have a rough idea tho! So, big city, we're on the outskirts of downtown, where the stores are. Our building is sandwiched between other buildings with the place where Melon and Nine live together being above the Café. Servers are all connected here. In the sense of like... Anyone online can access them, or for reference I suppose, things like MCC, instead of being streamed from people's PCs, it's a live thing where people go to a stadium for! I hope that makes sense. In this giant city though, there's different quadrants, the living one (homes and stuff), gaming, music, shopping, etc. Coffee On The Horizon Café is located on the edge of the Shopping and Home districts. The gaming district is split as well, since there's soooo many games. So they have smaller hubs and stuff that lead to a bunch of servers connected to a set building or something like that (You enter a building and can choose the server you want to join, essentially).

High King/High Queen of the Principality of Federation of Kingdoms of Ethanxiia of an alien planet Ethanxiia
Paramount Chieftain and Warchief of the Confederacy of Nations of Iuyumania on the planet of Iuyamania
High King/High Queen of Mu or Hawaiki. Imagine Mount Olympus, Asgard, or Themyscira but for Indigenous Pasifika demigod metahumans and Indigenous Pasifika alien hybrid superhumans. A series of floating, terrestrial, & underwater kingdoms that was a federation or empire. It was created because of strong mystical, esoteric, arcane energies intrinsically tied to the sea, air, & land. It was built with the help of alien technology, divine help from polytheistic pagan pantheons, and arcane human magic. It was a magical focal point and is the strongest in power. It is an utopia dedicated to the free exchange of information and ideas of diverse and inclusive communities.
Through the influence of the government, military, scholars, & monarchs the empire or federation flourished and grew into an advanced realm unlike any other on the planet. Science, technology, & magic were the dominant means of power throughout the aquatic, terrestrial, & air supercontinent. They were already developing highly advanced technological wonders even in antiquity. Since its inception technology and magic were in sync and made the empire or federation both magically, scientifically, and technologically advanced. A terrestrial federation of kingdoms similar to its rival Hyperborea.
An underwater federation of kingdoms similar to its rival the technologically advanced Atlantean empire. A floating empire of kingdoms similar to its rival Asgard. Actually the size of a supercontinent. It is one of the earliest and most highly advanced cultural, technological, scientific, and magical societies on Earth.
It is an empire or federation that is further divided into kingdoms with each its own settlements, villages, towns, cities, counties, states. It is an oasis of civilization in prehistory, modern day, & the future. Although the arial, terrestrial, & aquatic federation or empire grew and prospered.
The civilizations of the outside world remained largely ignorant of Mu or Hawaiki for many decades, centuries, & millennia. In recent years however, it has found itself pushed to the forefront of public awareness. They are now considered the most technologically advanced federation of the planet.
The underwater throne room defended by sea elves riding dolphins, palace defended by merfolk and tritons riding sea unicorn, capital defended by weresharks riding (tiger, mako, & great white) sharks, & kingdoms are defended by Atlanteans riding whales (beluga, narwhals, & orcas). Their throne room is decorated with the skeletons of a megalodon, a mosasaurus, a plesiosaurus, a basilosaurus, & a livyatan. For Hawaiki the federation of kingdoms of Pasifika alien hybrids and demigods there were several kingdoms on land hidden by magic, several kingdoms floating in the air hidden by magic and technology, as well as several kingdoms underwater hidden by technology.
Their scientists develop a means so that their people could survive underwater, in the air, & on land. The experiment was a success and the serum transformed the citizens from normal human beings into a metahuman and superhuman species who could survive anywhere in the empire. The denizens of the empire or federation were changing to evolve new biological, emotional , intellectual, spiritual, and magical functions in order to better thrive. They altered differently from baseline homo sapiens due the high concentration of magic, technology, & science flowing throughout its vast territory. It's people gaining the ability to survive anywhere on land, sea, & air. Due to this habitual alternation all Hawaiki'an citizens of every nation of the empire or federation of demigods and alien hybrids are physically superior to baseline humans. As a result of being stronger, faster, tougher, smarter, and longer lived.
Chairman and CEO of Dynamic Sciences, Research, Development, Engineering, & Technology. It is a research organization, charity/philanthropy organization, and business corporation. It is the world's largest and most diversified multinational corporation. Complemented with a national and international chain of research laboratories. That is unconnected to the government or the military. It specializes in A.I., genetics, disease control, medicine, research and technology, nanotechnology, bionics, bio-engineering, pharmaceuticals, security, paramilitary weaponry, defense, aerospace, computer hardware and software, robotics, and metahuman and superhuman studies.
It was officially created in the 16th century. It is one of the oldest companies in the world. It began as a merchant business, an artisan guild, and trading company. As the company became more successful more branches were opened. Soon other companies were bought and absorbed. This was when expansion of the company turned into a global conglomerate with numerous headquarters, branches, & businesses in different countries. This turned it into a business conglomerate and corporation. It is a high-rise building as its own corporate headquarters.
It soon became a green company under new regulations and reforms and became environmentally conscious. It is known for its accessibility for disabled staff, employees, consumers, & visitors. It has been a forerunner in many fields of science, engineering, inventions, research, development, & technology. Its main headquarters are in California, Kansas, Ohio, South Carolina, & New York in America.
The tower was designed by its founder with the intention to serve as a beacon of modern human architecture. It was completed after a few years of excavation and construction. The tower itself cost several hundred million to build, update, & maintain. It was later redesigned by the current chairman and CEO to be a beacon of futuristic alien and human architecture.
It employs hundreds of thousands of people both human and alien of base human, superhuman, & metahuman origin with hundreds of buildings around the world. It employs hundreds of thousands of people of different diverse backgrounds. There are branch offices and headquarters all over the world. More than simply a superhero lair.
It is officially an advanced research, development, inventing, technology, science, engineering facility, a philanthropic/charity organization, and international business corporation. It is a multibillion research organization and business corporation. It is an advanced sciences, inventing, engineering, research, development, & technologies company with worldwide interests.
There are several lead scientists that work at the organization and corporation. They each have their own individual labs. The labs are equipped with the best and most advanced scientific equipment. Each of them are allowed to create whatever they think will help the company and technology advance. In the future it is a leading company in creating the most advanced technology in the world, star system, galaxy, & universe. He/she/they is their chief scientist. He/she/they are a life scientist who studies anthropology, anatomy, archeology, biology, botany, conservation, ecology, genetics, linguistics, marine biology, paleontology, psychology, physiology, sociology, and zoology. AAT vs ACCA at Future Connect Training: Which is Right for You?
Future Connect Training
When it comes to building a successful career in accounting and finance, choosing the right qualification is a crucial step. Among the most recognized qualifications in the UK are the AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) and the ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants). Both of these qualifications are highly regarded, but they cater to different stages of a professional’s career and offer unique benefits. If you're wondering which qualification is right for you, this comprehensive guide on AAT vs ACCA at Future Connect Training will help you make an informed decision.
Overview of AAT and ACCA
Before diving into the differences, let's start with a brief overview of each qualification.
What is AAT?
AAT (Association of Accounting Technicians) is a globally recognized qualification that focuses on developing practical accounting and finance skills. It is ideal for individuals starting their career in accounting or those looking to formalize their skills through certification. The AAT qualification is divided into three levels:
AAT Level 2 (Foundation Certificate in Accounting): Provides basic knowledge of accounting principles and practices, making it suitable for beginners.
AAT Level 3 (Advanced Diploma in Accounting): Focuses on more advanced topics such as final accounts preparation, costing, and spreadsheets for accounting.
AAT Level 4 (Professional Diploma in Accounting): Covers complex areas like financial performance, budgeting, and decision-making, preparing students for higher-level roles.
What is ACCA?
The ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) is a globally recognized qualification for those who aim to become a fully qualified chartered accountant. The ACCA covers a broad range of financial and managerial accounting topics, providing deeper insights into complex financial principles and practices. The ACCA qualification consists of multiple levels, including:
Applied Knowledge and Applied Skills Levels: These levels focus on the fundamentals of accounting, business law, management accounting, and tax.
Strategic Professional Level: This level includes advanced topics like financial management, auditing, and professional ethics, aimed at developing strategic thinking for senior-level roles.
Key Differences Between AAT and ACCA
When comparing AAT vs ACCA at Future Connect Training, it's important to recognize the distinct differences between the two qualifications. These differences revolve around career progression, qualification levels, entry requirements, and time commitments.
1. Career Stage and Progression
AAT: The AAT qualification is best suited for individuals at the beginning of their accounting journey. It is an ideal starting point for entry-level roles like accounts assistant, bookkeeper, or payroll officer. Completing AAT Levels 2, 3, and 4 provides a solid foundation in accounting, but it does not qualify you as a chartered accountant. However, once you complete AAT Level 4, you can progress to more advanced qualifications like ACCA or CIMA (Chartered Institute of Management Accountants).
ACCA: The ACCA qualification is for those aiming to become fully chartered accountants. It is a more advanced and comprehensive qualification than AAT, designed for individuals who already have some background in accounting or finance. ACCA prepares students for senior roles such as financial controller, finance manager, auditor, and even chief financial officer (CFO).
2. Qualification Levels and Content
AAT: The AAT qualification covers practical, hands-on skills in areas like bookkeeping, VAT, costing, and final accounts preparation. It is more focused on developing technical skills and applying them in real-world situations. The three levels of AAT provide a gradual learning curve, making it easier for beginners to grasp accounting concepts.
ACCA: ACCA is more rigorous and covers a wider range of topics, including financial reporting, audit, tax, and management accounting. It also places greater emphasis on theoretical knowledge and strategic decision-making. ACCA students need to pass 13 exams (with some exemptions possible) to complete the qualification, and the content is significantly more challenging than AAT, especially at the professional level.
3. Time Commitment and Flexibility
AAT: AAT qualifications can typically be completed faster than ACCA. The entire AAT qualification (Levels 2 to 4) can take 1 to 3 years depending on the pace of study. Since it is designed for entry-level positions, the time commitment is more manageable for individuals with limited experience in accounting.
ACCA: The ACCA qualification takes longer to complete due to the higher number of exams and the complexity of the subject matter. On average, it takes around 3 to 4 years to complete the ACCA qualification, though it can take longer depending on your study mode and work commitments.
4. Entry Requirements
AAT: One of the advantages of AAT is that there are no formal academic requirements to start AAT Level 2, making it accessible to school leavers, career changers, or those without prior experience in accounting. It’s a great option for individuals who want to enter the field of accounting without a degree.
ACCA: ACCA has stricter entry requirements. To start ACCA, you typically need to have completed A-levels (or equivalent) with specific grades in mathematics and English. Alternatively, a degree in a related field can provide exemptions for certain ACCA exams, allowing you to fast-track your qualification.
5. Career Opportunities and Earning Potential
AAT: Completing AAT Level 4 qualifies you for roles such as accounts manager, senior bookkeeper, or tax assistant. While AAT-qualified professionals earn a good salary, their earning potential is typically lower than those who hold ACCA qualifications. However, AAT is still highly respected by employers, especially for practical, hands-on roles in accounting.
ACCA: ACCA offers significantly higher earning potential and access to more senior roles. ACCA-qualified professionals can work in various industries and hold positions such as auditor, financial analyst, or CFO. The ACCA qualification is globally recognized, opening up opportunities for international careers and higher salaries.
AAT or ACCA: Which Should You Choose?
Choosing between AAT vs ACCA at Future Connect Training depends largely on your career goals, current experience, and the time you are willing to dedicate to your studies.
Choose AAT if:
You are just starting your career in accounting and finance.
You want to gain practical, hands-on accounting skills quickly.
You are looking for an accessible qualification without strict entry requirements.
You are aiming for entry-level or mid-level accounting roles and want the flexibility to pursue further qualifications later.
Choose ACCA if:
You have some background in accounting or finance and want to progress to senior-level roles.
You are aiming to become a fully qualified chartered accountant.
You are ready to commit to a longer and more intensive qualification.
You aspire to hold higher-paying, strategic positions in finance or accounting.

Mastering Financial Management: Bookkeeping And Accounting For Indian Film Producers
One of the biggest film industries in the world, India operates under a complicated financial environment. Film producers deal with particular financial management issues, such as revenue tracking and production budgets. Success requires a solid understanding of financial management, especially bookkeeping and accounting. This handbook offers advice specifically for Indian filmmakers, emphasizing methods, resources, and techniques to improve money management.
Recognizing the Financial Environment:-
A variety of parties are involved in the making of a film, including distributors, technicians, actors, and directors. Every project needs to be carefully planned and managed financially. Pre-production, production, and post-production costs are just a few of the expenses that producers have to deal with. They also have to predict revenue from ticket sales, streaming, and merchandise. To effectively handle finances, one must first understand these elements.
Key Financial Components:-
Budgeting: Having a well-organized budget is crucial. It ought to list all anticipated expenses as well as possible revenue streams. The budget serves as a guide for producers, assisting in the effective allocation of resources.
Management of Cash Flow: Cash flow is the movement of funds into and out of the production process. To avoid financial deficits, producers need to continuously analyze cash flow to make sure that expenses do not exceed income.
Cost tracking: It's critical to keep track of every expense. This covers unplanned charges, marketing costs, and production costs. Precise monitoring aids in budgetary management and furnishes significant perspectives for subsequent undertakings.
Fundamentals of Bookkeeping for Film Producers:-
The methodical documentation of financial transactions is known as bookkeeping. This entails keeping thorough records of all earnings and outlays associated with a production for filmmakers.
How to Set Up a Bookkeeping System:-
Select the Right Software: There are numerous choices for accounting software, including Tally, QuickBooks, and Zoho Books. Select the one that best fits your demands and production scale.
Sort Expenses: Divide costs into groups such as post-production charges, equipment rental, cast salaries, and location fees. Tracking and reporting are made easier by this classification.
Maintaining Records Regularly: Establish a schedule for updating financial records. Enter transactions regularly to prevent backlogs and guarantee correct data.
Reconcile Accounts: To find inconsistencies and preserve accuracy, periodically reconcile your bank accounts with your bookkeeping records.
Essential Bookkeeping Practices:-
Keep Track of Invoices: For both income and expenses, create and maintain invoices at all times. Financial audits and tax filing both depend on this procedure.
Utilize Receipts: Hold onto all expense-related receipts for your business. Solutions for digital storage can make things easier to arrange and access.
Track Mileage: Keep a mileage record to submit claims for expenses if personal vehicles are utilized for work.
Accounting for Film Producers:-
Accounting is evaluating financial data to make defensible decisions, which extends beyond bookkeeping. Essential accounting procedures for producers are highlighted in this section.
Financial Reporting:-
Regular financial reports, such as balance sheets, cash flow statements, and profit and loss statements, should be prepared by producers. These reports help guide strategic decisions and offer insights into the production's financial health.
The profit and loss statement: aids producers in understanding profitability by providing a summary of revenues and expenses.
A balance sheet: shows the assets, liabilities, and equity of the production in one glance. This report is essential for evaluating the stability of finances.
Cash Flow Statement: By monitoring cash inflows and outflows, this report makes sure that the production has enough liquidity.
Tax-Related Issues:-
For financial management, it is essential to comprehend the tax implications. Film makers need to know about the different taxes that are imposed in India, including income tax, entertainment tax, and the Goods and Services Tax (GST).
GST Registration: If a producer's turnover surpasses a certain threshold, they must register for GST. Make sure that the deadlines for GST filing and payment are met.
Tax Deductions: A number of expenses, like as salaries, marketing charges, and manufacturing costs, are deductible from taxes. Maintain thorough documentation to support these assertions.
Employ a Tax Consultant: By ensuring compliance and guiding you through the intricacies of tax laws, a tax consultant can help you maximize your tax benefits.
Using Technology to Manage Finances:-
In the digital age we live in today, technology is essential to managing finances. It is recommended that producers utilize diverse instruments to optimize their bookkeeping and accounting procedures.
Software for Accounting:-
Several financial chores can be automated with the help of reliable accounting software, which also reduces human mistakes and saves time. Qualities to search for consist of:
Real-time Reporting: Obtain financial reports in real-time to make decisions on time.
Expense tracking: Automatic tracking of expenses via linkage with bank accounts and receipt scanning.
Multi-user Access: Working together as a team while protecting data.
Apps for Financial Management:-
Cash flow management, spending monitoring, and budgeting can all be facilitated by many financial management apps. These resources can improve output and offer insightful information about a production's financial situation.
Conclusion
For Indian film producers, it is imperative to grasp financial management through efficient bookkeeping and accounting. Through the use of optimal methodologies, utilization of technology, and comprehension of the economic environment, filmmakers can adeptly maneuver through the intricacies of cinema finance. In addition to increasing profitability, a solid financial base grants artistic flexibility in the creation of outstanding motion pictures. Producers may make sure their movies succeed in the competitive Indian film industry by carefully planning and implementing strategic finance management.
