tightroping between 1950s and DnD sci-fi fantasy speak for my story, but I am absolutely keeping "sauced" as a slang word for drunk.
#it's the typical magic lost in the modernized era except no one fucking knows if it was magic from gods or real anywho we r gettin divorced#you ever think saint george and the dragon sounds like a typical fantasy story even with the religious element. and how a lot of it gets my#cized into magic.#tbis#the black indigobird's song

"Odd little short-tailed and chunky-billed member of the indigobird family. The male is yellow, with dark wings and tail, while the female is brown and streaky on the back and buff on the face and underparts. Found in moist grassland and open savanna. Uncommon across its range. Indistinct song consists of short, rasping phrases. Male could be confused with canaries but has an all-black bill. Female resembles female bishops but has a shorter and thicker all-black bill."

you know maybe i am reworking parts of exo 2 and 5 that i thought were interesting on tbis but to be fair i've been talking about wanting to write a story about children being demonized for mystic powers and then reaching unwanted sainthood and really weird holy buildings that wont save you since 2020 now i just never settled on which character and what title.

yeah maybe my oc book is "what if we do a 'is it or is it not a hoax' ghost story with intersex and bisexual ppl BUT we do it backwards" but to be fair this isn't a weird concept or me trying to be snobby. have you guys watched merrily we roll along.
#the black indigobird's song#if i was advertising on tiktok id say it was House of Leaves meets Merrily We Roll Along but i dont think its popular there#also it sounds really confusing
