phel is here with some moonsilver trinkets and treats for the birds— happy birthday, kira!

the birds get to aphelios before kira could even open her mouth to greet him. nearly the moment they see him, all thirty - two of them are flying in a flurry of dark feathers to reach him before she is even able to take the first step forward, and kira lets out an audible groan of irritation. it wasn't just the treats brought for them that seemed to excite them, but more so being able to see someone that they considered a friend. some perch atop his shoulders, one on his head, and the others onto his arms as they all caw happily.

❛    alright, alright. get off of him, all of you.    ❜  kira says, sounding vaguely amused as she shoos the corvids away with the waving of her hands. they disperse, albeit with some reluctance. out of habit, kira brushes away any feathers that may have been caught onto the fabric of his clothes, smiling in amusement. ❛    well, aren't you sweet! taking time out of your day just to see me on today of all days, and with something in your hands too. i may not be flying to see you, but i'm always happy to see you around, aphelios.    ❜
