“You’re sure Professor Bosifha allowed it? Why me?” he says.

“I’m sure. Can you do it?”

“Yeah, yeah! It would have to be right after Theory class, I can do those stuff later. If I want to understand magic I should probably have more exposure. And I think I know enough to help you. But if I can’t teach you, then I’ll quit. More important that you learn magic than I learn theory,” Horatio says, “Do you want to start today?”

I poke at the pendulum on his desk.

“Well, if we’re to do this I should know what level you are at, so could you demonstrate one of the spells you already know?” Horatio switches into his teacher-tone.

“I can’t,” I say.
