update: i now have bebe neuwirth as my headcanon julie simon. she started as debra monk but that shifted as i continued writing in julie's voice. sounds better as a rich, sultry alto.

also, the idea of julie being 5'2" with such a massive personality and the ability to annoy someone into falling in love is objectively intriguing.

it'll all make sense eventually. just gotta keep chipping away at it.
