good morning!
since i am incapable of consuming media if i can’t relate it to my hyperfixation somehow, i took notes on Death Note HAHA
which i am watching because of this 😭
episode 1–
I decided 5 minutes into the 1st episode of Death Note that Light and the shinigami are Viren and Aaravos coded HAHA. Parallels are drawn in the 1st episode—both Light and the demon are jaded with the current state of the world, seeing it as rotting. Light wants to fix it. OK I’m also just going insane over all the biblical symbolism already like, Light holding the apple in the intro, the forbidden fruit of a demonic gift that corresponds with the Death Note. Then light in jesus’s pose at the end of the intro, and the snippets from Bible class(?) at the beginning of the episode. Then the demon—the wings coming in he said he happened to drop his book in the human realm and he has to retrieve it.
Oh, also he the demon can only be seen and heard by him since he’s the only one who can use the death note. Wow, how convenient tehee. Totally doesn’t remind me of someone else “You can hear me and now you can see me”
Light is like, he wants only hard-working honest people to be left in the world and even though he’ll be the whole corrupted soul for it, it’s fine because he’s honest and hard-working. He’s an honor student and good person in his eyes, and he’s willing to sacrifice himself for a bright future for humanity… he’s so Viren coded. “I will become the god of this New World.” and then right after that, the demon is like “ it’s just as I thought humans are so interesting “ hes so . aaravos coded. oh my God. also, I mean, he like intentionally drop the death note because he said in the shinigami realm, it doesn’t bring an amusement to to bring death to the human realm so I’d rather watch humans do it to themselves HMM REMINDS ME OF SOMEONE ELSE also for being the top student in tests he’s kinda stupid ngl the shinigami also loves apples, he said it makes coming down worth it. He’s so sparkly blue elf coded.
episode 2 —
the demon just popped up from next to the desk. He’s watching stuff. He just follows light around and talks to him sometimes. He’s so blue elf illusion coded. omg.
OK the mysterious guy opening the computer equaling Aaravos in the mirror Greetings to all of you at the icpo. i am L and then him knowing Light is in Japan but saying why, you ask? I will provide proof upon direct confrontation but i still need cooperation from the police officers in japan he’s. sfofosfosdifjdos fjsdof ….mystery <333 the mystery of L light hides death note in a fake compartment in his drawer which reminds me of the fic with lissa pov where viren hid the kpp’ar coin in a fake compartment in his office desk drawer the shinigami mentions that touching the notebook makes other see him too— light getting annoyed over him that, saying, “he waits to mention that important detail until now! ? damn shinagami” is so virencoded oh my God OK wait L is also kind of sparkly blue elf coated like he his whereabouts, and name are unknown but he’s managed to solve a bunch of case and he’s called arrogant and only takes on cases. He’s personally interested in hello. ok i guess L isnt that aaravos coded cuz i dont think aaravos would go on a rant about how he found out something but idk i still love the way this show draws parallels like how they both say they’re going to hunt down the nameless faceless other and kill them, reciting, I am justice, at the same time.
episode three
I love L sm he’s based
light sowing distrust between the police and L reminds me of someone elseee oh OK the shinigami just let light know that he can see his lifespan, but that he will never tell him what it is that would just be too that would be unbecoming. That’s so . hmm aaravos
then we got the classic faustian bargain and thennn i fell asleep against my will </3
perhaps. more to come however.
