I wish I could stop taking my own writing so fucking seriously so I could just post fics when I type the last word instead of doing a minimum of three drafts, sometimes six. I’ve been torturing myself with this nightmares fic for months.

#it’s not like many people actually find what I write #the amount of readers I get does not feel proportional to the level of perfectionism I keep getting caught in #some of the most popular fics in all the fandoms I’ve been in often have barely any editing and it shows #but they’ve got hundreds of thousands of hits bc the only person that cares that much about editing #is me #and yeah I’m writing for me before anyone else #but if I could get over myself for five mins I’d finish projects faster #so I’d get through my list of things I want to write #and maybe even finish the list #god ignore me I guess #7am thoughts
