Hi everyone!

We are officially one week away from the posting date (August 30th) for the gift exchange! I can’t believe these last 5 weeks have gone by so fast. I hope everyone is having fun creating their gifts and i cannot wait to see all of the beautiful creations y’all are making! If you need a time extension for any reason, please reach out and let me know asap.

As a quick reminder, here are the minimums for the event. Fic length: 500 words. Gifset: 2 gifs. Playlist length: 10 minutes. Fanvid length: 30 seconds. Poetry length: 5 lines. No maximum lengths, so feel free to make things as long as you want!

Just a couple quick thank you’s. Thank you to absolutely everyone for checking in for the midpoint of the event! All 63 partipcants checked in, and I just wanna express my deepest gratitude and thankfulness that you all took the time to check in! And thank you to Gen (@dean-has-great-taste) for being so helpful every single step of the way while I’ve attempted my first ever event like this- Gen, you’ve been my rock and I’m so blessed to have a friend as sweet, patient, and kind as you.

Since we’re 1 week away from posting, i thought i’d share this message for some guidance on posting your creations. Regardless of what content you’ve made or any other platforms besides tumblr that you choose to post on, please make sure to make a tumblr post and @ your partner so you can reveal who you are and to let them know where they can see their gift (if you post onto another platform, please place a link in a tumblr post so your partner can click the link to see the gift). 

Fics and poetry can be posted on tumblr and/or ao3 (if posted onto ao3, please make sure to put a link into the tumblr post so that your partner can access it). If you’re posting an art/edit/gif, you can make a tumblr post and @ your partner so they can see what you made (if there’s another site you want to use to post, just make sure to link that in a tumblr post). If you’ve made a playlist on spotify or youtube, make sure to make a tumblr post with a link to the playlist so that your partner can listen and enjoy all the songs you put together. And if you’ve made an amv, please either post it here on tumblr or on youtube and don’t forget to add a link if it’s a youtube video.

When you post your creations, please use the hashtag #starrynightdeancas gift exchange and/or you can use my tracking tag #userstarry so that everyone can see all of the gifts that are posted and i can also reblog everything y’all make. Also, feel free to @ me in your posts just in case the hashtags don’t work, that way i can see and reblog your creation.
