genuinely adore the number of people in the early s1 era who believed Daniel had been "straight washed" because he--a guy born and raised in the fifties btw--half-heartedly said in a semi-professional setting that he was straight, using the most flimsy excuse imaginable for being at a gay bar, in a conversation/general interview dealing heavily with the repression of queer/deviant instincts. did people forget the concept of being closeted. or the concept of bisexuality. did people assume that you could only actually get drugs in gay bars during the 70s.
