i still don’t understand why people name their kids like kayleigh ashleigh emmaleigh and they’re like…. Oh it’s pronounced like kaylee ashley emily :) mostly what confuses us is that in virtually every other word in the english language (and even in other, not-mashed-together names, like “leighton”) “eigh” as a suffix makes an ay sound but for some reason in the White Child Name Industrial Complex phonics are bent! what are you all doing!
