Hello Mechanisms Fans!!!! i'm sure you're probably wondering, "But Mak! Don't you already have a server dedicated to Mechs Covers?" And you're right!! But!! Myself and my friend @legendary-dumpster-fire , who I started that server with, have decided we wanted to make our own official project where we have chosen individuals for the characters!

We're doing everything through Casting Call Club, which will be linked at the end of this post! There aren't many requirements, you just need a proper microphone and a Discord account, alongside submitting lines and verses for the audition!

Once again thinking about that dream I had where the mechs lose the Aurora and have to travel in a rickety little ship across the cosmos in search of her... I don't remember anything about the dream except knowing that's what was going on. But I just think I'd be an immaculate fanfic.

(Also as a bonus idea if you like adding Lyfrassir to everything mechs (me I do that): what if they happen to be stranded on the same planet Lyfrassir has been hiding out on post Bifrost and enlist/beg for their help in finding the Aurora (to which they begrudgingly agree, probably hobbit style bc the hobbit is what inspired this idea). Also in this timeline we shall pretend Nastya came back from Out or while Aurora is out without the mechs she somehow finds and reconnects and Nastya? Idk but we're not having this fic without Nastya.)

Me being Pissy™️ about Out

Nastya is a hypocrite. She says that Aurora is no longer the one she fell in love with due to various modifications, but Nastya herself has canonically messed with Aurora's programming, as stated in "A Bedtime Story" in which Nastya states she'll adjust Aurora's algorithms. If Aurora was no longer the one she fell in love with, it's her fault. The others only made adjustments to Aurora's physical aspects, not her programing. If Nastya left because Aurora was no longer who she fell in love with, that is entirely Nastya's fault. And if Nastya left because Aurora looked different, that's even worse! Why would you leave someone just because they look different? Ship of Thesus, blah blah blah. Aurora is sentient. Her body/ship may have changed, but that has no bearing on who she is. People are people, no matter what they looked like at different times. In conclusion, Nastya is kind of a bitch.

Where no one knows they are immortal yet and they die??? Everyone's so heartbroken and then usually them coming back is fucked up n painful and gjrhfkdhkf its so good.

Who is my favourite mechanism?

The Starship Aurora is my favourite mechanism. She’s complex and expansive and wandering her halls feels like a warm hug; I love how she cares so deeply for her crew. I would literally die for her if asked, she’s everything to me <3

Jonny D’Ville is my favourite mechanism. I love the way the first mate’s eyes sparkle when he tells a good story; I love how he lights up when there’s a new opportunity for violence. He deserves the world and more.

Nastya Rasputina is my favourite mechanism. The engineer is so beautiful in her love for Aurora; I love how she’s as empathetic towards machines as humans. And her skill on the violin is second to none.

Ashes O’Reilly is my favourite mechanism. When the Quartermaster starts a fire, they shine just as bright; they love doing paperwork and making spreadsheets as much as they enjoy taking over and burning down entire worlds. I just think that’s neat.

Ivy Alexandria is my favourite mechanism. The Archivist’s quiet nature and peaceful outlook is not to be underestimated; I love how fiercely protective she is. She contains incredible multitudes.

Drumbot Brian is my favourite mechanism. The Pilot is thoughtful and rational but that never stops him having fun; I love his mischievous streak. Sword Tag with Brian sounds like such a good time.

The Toy Soldier is my favourite mechanism. I adore how cheerful the Mascot is; it always greets you with a smile and the most wonderful cup of tea. It has the voice of an Angel.

Gunpowder Tim is my favourite mechanism. The Master at Arms is warm and welcoming to those he considers family; I love how he knows love so deeply and will do anything not to let it go. The glint of menacing joy in his mechanical eyes is beautiful when he picks up his gun.

Raphaella La Cognizi is my favourite mechanism. The science officer is so creative and always coming up with new experiments; I love the sound of the wind sailing through her mechanical wings. She flew close to the sun and it still shines like a halo around her.

Marius von Raum is my favourite mechanism. He’s neither a Baron not a Doctor but that never stops him from pursuing his interests; I love his fun fashion sense and his unwavering resolve. He raises such fascinating points about life and humanity.

When I say I don’t have a favourite mechanism, that’s not exactly true. There’s something I love dearly about each and every one of them. I can’t put into words just how much they mean to me <3
