"I'm so glad." Mrs George then looked over to Damian beside her. It's nice to see you again, Damian, as always!"

"And you're always a sight to see," Damian replied.

June George gave out a giggle and ushered the two inside. She pointed over to the overflowing table of gifts, which Janis knew came from various people at school who were not invited to the party. She was surprised to see that the guest list for this party was shorter than Cady's Halloween get together two weeks prior. It looked to be just the six of them in their friend group hanging out together. Along the walls were pink streamers and a banner that said 'happy birthday', but otherwise it looked about the same as any other visit to the George home.

Damien and Janis followed Mrs. George into the grand living room and saw the rest of the friend group there. "Hey there, birthday girl," Damien sang, placing down his gift, a small gift bag with pink and purple tissue paper sticking out of it, into the table with the rest. Regina rolled her eyes, but didn't say anything. "How does it feel to be legally able to buy cigarettes and porn?"

"Or join the military?" Karen asked from her spot on the largest couch, which she shared with Cady.

"Or drink, if you are in just about any other country but the USA?" Gretchen added.

"It's not the fun birthday, like a sweet sixteen. Or maybe it would have been, in my old life," Regina said.

"I know," June said. "It's very low-key this year. I was prepared to throw a huge birthday bash with a DJ, a full cocktail bar and special brownies, but with only half a dozen of you here, there was really no point."

"Are we not worth the special brownies, Mrs. George?" Damian joked, lowering his voice so that Kylie, who had come down the stairs to greet the new guests, didn't hear.

June winked.

"So instead I'm going to just let you guys have at it. There's a dinner that will be catered and movies and whatever set up. Might be too cold to use the pool. If you guys want to go out to the theater or anything later, just let me know and I'll drive you." With that, June waved Kylie to her. "Let's have 'Mama Ky-Ky time' upstairs and meet back down for dinner." The girl agreed readily, happy to have her mom's full attention.

"Thanks Mom." When her mother and Kylie were gone, Regina said, "I'm just glad you guys are here. It feels... like a more meaningful birthday."

Damian waved his hands in front of his eyes. "Aw, Regina just wants best friend time. If I tear up, my mascara will run."

"You're not wearing mascara today, doofus," Janis said as she put her gift so that it leaned against the back of the couch. She turned to Regina. "You're not opening this until after I leave."

"Why?" Regina asked, her lips moving into a slight smirk.

"Because it's what you asked for, but it's only for you to see." Regina's smile didn't waver. "Shut up. Just wait 'til I'm gone."

Guess who finished not one but two stories (finished one and wrote the whole of the following fic), AND got a head start on the outline for the Rejanis Christmas fic that's been back there for about three weeks!

One fic is going up tonight after editing when I get home from work and the other may need a bit of rearranging. The conversation is off and needs a flow check. But after that one there's just one more fic so...

I did not realize I was almost already done with my next story on Wednesday. So I don't know if I will feel comfortable with that but I'll see how it looks once I typed it up and did some of the editing for it after work. It looks like there's two more stories after that and then the series is done. I don't know how I'm going to feel about that. I do have a rejanis Christmas fic I want to work on but something tells me I wont finish it by Christmas unless I drop this series for a bit to work on it instead, so...

All right. I have decided to go back and stick the story for Janis's side where I'm originally wanted to put it, because without that part, the story Friends doesn't make as much sense as I want it to. I don't think it had as much impact as I wanted it to have for the characters and their movement forward. So yes it's short as shit and I'm pissed about that, but maybe I can title it as like 'Fear part 2' or some shit. It goes into some of the same things that the story Fear went into, but it does point towards a sign that she's moving out of it in this part.

So since this story is based around music and playlists, I'm wondering what that word is that is used in musicals when there is a signature song near the beginning and then they go back and sing that song again or repeat the song or parts of it? Like the only example I can think of is for Le Mis where they have that big mashup of all the songs throughout the musical all in that one last One Day More mashup at the end? Is it like I think it means repeat but I don't know what the actual word is I'm going to look that shit up.

Okay so that may work because the last story I was going to do something similar where I wanted to call it like [redacted to prevent possible spoilers for the series] (Reprise)' because it does bring the story around to where I always wanted to end it.

So since this is going back to the themes and ideas that were in my story 'Fear' with Janis and her thoughts, maybe I can call this one 'Fear (Reprise)'. Or something. This idea actually makes me feel better about writing the series now so.

Fic: Haven't Had Enough

Dr Harper nodded and let the words sink in before speaking again. "I won't lie to you Regina," Dr Harper said. "That is a possibility. I think you already knew that you and Janis would never be the same as before, and you seemed okay with that as long as some kind of relationship built between you. Maybe it's time to consider the possibility of it just not happening. Janis may have thought she could forgive you over time, but being faced with the reality of it could have changed her mind." When Regina's face scrunched up in an attempt to fight back tears, the therapist added, "I don't mean to upset you Regina. I'm just presenting a very real conclusion to all of this with her."

Thirteenth in the Regina George Apology Tour series, Regina has another therapy session that leaves her conflicted on whether she should keep waiting on Janis or let her go completely.

The Christmas fic is going well still. I am at a fun part with lots of dialogue, which is setting up the rest of the story. I think I will continue this the next three or so weeks between calls and add it to my draft after work. Tonight after adding today's writings to the draft I will also edit the story for the Regina George apology tour series. I don't know what all is happening for the finale, but I hope it ends up at least 3-5k words while most of the rest averaged 1-2k. I'm still so excited and am feeling so proud of the Christmas fic but every time I am excited for a fic no one reads or comments so I am trying not to feel bad should that happen. I do have one that I loved that got reviews along the way but I was posting on a schedule and it was during December two three years ago.

Finished chapter one of the Christmas story. This is out of an estimated five, maybe six plus a possible epilogue. I also have some extra notes down for the finale for The Regina George Apology Tour series. Like I said before, I will get what I have of chapter one into my drafts and edit the shit out of the RGAT series fic so it can be posted. Then I will spend the rest of the night reading Supercorp fic.

Home from work now so I'm going to input what I have so far in the Christmas story from the written pages into my Gmail draft. I might even do the editing for the second to last story in the Regina George apology tour series, since I don't have any shows on tonight and I already caught up on my animation domination block of shows I watch I go on Sundays. I don't know when I'm going to post the Regina George apology tour story cuz I don't know what the title is going to be yet. The Christmas story is going very well. I got a little further than I expected today, and even was able to get past the notes I saved for today. I think if I continue at this pace the rest of the week by putting a chunk of the notes in my AO3 draft and then using that to guide me while I'm writing (since AO3 is the one site that I can go to at work but not Gmail where I have my drafts usually) I can get so much done. So between calls I'll just kind of keep on writing and if I keep at this pace I feel like I could finish the story in a month. If that's the case and the story is about five chapters I could probably average two chapters a week leading up to Christmas Day. That would be so fun if I can make it! 😃

I'm looking over this installment of the Regina George Apology Tour series and I'm just not feeling it and I'm not exactly sure why. I kind of wish I had story cheerleaders because they know what I write like and they know kind of where I'm going with the story, and it'd just be nice to have somebody to talk this out with but I don't have that, so I just have to sit here and think about it until I get unstuck.

Oh my goodness, I just finished the rough draft of the 14th story in the Regina George apology tour series. I don't know exactly how I feel about it. It just kind of started off okay but I wrote it out between calls at work and then the rest of it was more speech to text once I got home from work, so I think I'm going to sit on that one for a little bit and maybe do some deep editing there. However I did get to a point writing writing this out where I was able to add in another story that's going to go somewhere between the second to last and last story of the series. I did feel like for a while there I needed to add one more bit that centered more around their conclusion because otherwise it seemed I went straight from the climax to the ending too quickly. I felt like there need to be more either contemplation or more resolution than I had already given it. But then I found a new way to move around that a little more. Give more for a couple of the characters that kind of I started something for but never got back around to and also that will lead better into the last story. So I'm excited for that.

I also had the start of a Mean Girls Christmas Carol type AU. I don't know if somebody's already done it and I wouldn't be surprised if somebody had, but I would love to see or write a story where Regina is like 30, super successful but super cranky and alone. You know the drill. she gets the three ghosts, and they happen to be the Ghost of Christmas past is like either Gretchen and Karen or just Katie by herself and then the Ghost of Christmas present being damien, because I really want to read or write him saying 'come in and know me better bitch'. That line has been in my head for the last 3 hours and I just keep laughing every time. So I don't know. I mean obviously Regina is going to learn about her past and it's going to revolve around you know Janis being 13 and again them being like 16 during their junior year and then maybe I don't know what their third past event would be but probably also centered somewhere around Janis as well. And then the Ghost of Christmas present you know seeing what all her ex friends were doing that she left behind in order to get rich or whatever and seeing how their lives are and then seeing what her future looks like where he's just going to be alone and nobody loves her and nobody misses her in the end of things because everybody who could have loved her or missed her has already died or they just weren't around. I kind of like the idea of Katie being a tiny Tim character though.

Otherwise I'm just kind of mowing through my other stories and stuff. Got a notice that my internet is probably going to go out so I'm probably going to end up using my mobile hotspot for the next few weeks because my next paycheck is going directly to rent and and then my paycheck after that is going to pay other bills and hopefully add a little bit more to savings so that I can start getting Christmas gifts and stuff this year.

I did a lot of writing. To the point where I almost finished the next story to the Regina George Apology Tour series. I think I will step away from social media while I dictate, edit and post that tonight. Then if I don't pass out early I will see if any streaming services offering any election updates will play for me. If I can't stand it I think there's an episode of What We Do on the Shadows I haven't seen yet before bed. I hope you all take care of your mental health tonight, my chilli babies.

Fuck. Never mind. I just got home to a notice on my door stating I have an inspection tomorrow. This apartment complex has a habit of putting these notices up in lat afternoon early evening and then coming in in the morning. So I have a friend who is willing to come over and help me clean but even so I don't think that will remove the smell in the house since I have some laundry that won't get done until this weekend. If they are mad about the smell and they have no dog to pin it on and force me to rehome, they are going to evict me. So...

I talk about this in the Regina George apology tour serie but Janis at first would not allow the friendship with Damien to happen. It was probably not too long after she came back that she was paired up with Damian for something and she didn't want to hang out with him outside of that even though Damian wanted to hang out with her. He was patient but also kind of in her face about it and eventually after that she allowed that friendship to happen, knowing he could not hurt her in any way that Regina had.
