I’m very mushy over eyrie losing their summoner book in the chaos of the bloody banquet chase through the aqueducts ;—; but it later being found and given back to them when they go on the search for thancred and y’sthola ;—;

#it was more than the arcanium within it since so much of their summoning is instinctual and through their crystal #since the crystal is a refuge of Melpomene’s knowledge but also it contains fleeting stands of her essence #in creating the crystal and the knowledge within she put parts of herself into it #and eyrie draws upon and sustains that essence when they summon #it’s instinctive and natural with summoning #the Grimore is a journal and a foci #so to have lost it Feels Really Bad #it’s in terrible shape when it’s returned to them but it’s returned to them at the very least #and they create a new grimore very much like the old one #they keep their bow of the wanderer through HW bc it was stashed amongst their things in camp dragonhead #where they had been spending most of their off time #it felt safer having their stuff stashed there rather than near the crystal braves #they do have moments of paranoia #it’s an inpulse that pops up from their garlean days #where people would go through their stuff so they hid a lot of it #oc: eyrie kisne
