On the one hand: There is something very sweet about SicIre in a historical AU that is inspired the modern age but with less homophobia, where they respect their society/societies rules when it comes to courtship. It shows their patience to see their love fulfilled and shows them as integral parts of their enviroment, of their cultures which they are proud of.

However, I also like when they are two RAKES, who can't wait to get together and have wild, sweaty, passionate sex and other uncouth displays of affection that would make people think two married people are ruffians, nevermind two bachelors courting each other.
