@thcrnmade ♥︎‘d this post for headcanons featuring : tanjiro kamado , burner bear , shinobu kocho , rui , carmen sandiego , mitsuri kanroji !

𝐭𝐚𝐧𝐣𝐢𝐫𝐨 𝐤𝐚𝐦𝐚𝐝𝐨

the two come from a fantasy type series’ & i find it interesting that they are both hunters / slayers of the supernatural beings in their shows . i think building some kind of relationship based on that would be interesting !

tanjiro isn’t aware of the existence of dragons exactly , but he grew up strongly believing in or open to the idea of supernatural beings ( gods , fairies , etc ) living among humans . as a demon slayer this fact is a lot easier for him to swallow — so if such a conversation were brought up , he’d believe her .

considering her path as a hunts clan member , i don’t expect her to tell him right off the bat . also , if this was something you want to remove as a plot point , that’s totally fine . maybe after learning that he’s a demon slayer & they go through a few things together the conversation might be brought up ? after they build trust of course .

with that in mind , he isn’t afraid to tell people that demons exist . he’d prefer to warn people about them rather than keep it a secret , but for various reasons he must be silent about it . he’d eventually tell rose about his sister who travels with him in the box he carries on his back . i haven’t made a post about this officially , but his sister , nezuko , is an npc who can appear in threads every once in a while — if that’s fine with you !

all in all , i think the two have potential for angst & other sad stuff — especially if & when the discussion on whether or not being hunters / slayers is a good thing . i’m open to hear your ideas for them !!

𝐬𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐨𝐛𝐮 𝐤𝐨𝐜𝐡𝐨 & 𝐦𝐢𝐭𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐢 𝐤𝐚𝐧𝐫𝐨𝐣𝐢

since shinobu & mitsuri come from the same series as tanjiro , we can have another perspective on the demon slayer organization . while all the slayers have the same goal , they all look at accomplishing this in different means & show empathy to certain demons in special cases . tanjiro is more empathetic , while mitsuri might come off as childish . shinobu on the other hand , while friendly & polite — she is completely unforgiving to demons & would kill them without a second thought .

having a tragic story dealing with demons , shinobu absolutely hates them . maybe she may feel as if hunting down dragons is an okay thing to do if a good enough argument was presented to her . she harbors a lot of ill will towards those who ruin the lives of others . maybe giving her another perspective on the matter would allow her to have some kind of empathy towards the demons she slays . i think rose may give her this perspective since rose is a lot more empathetic than shinobu .

misuri would be a supportive friend towards rose in her endeavors . she backs up the people around her , especially if their hearts are in the right direction . she would love for demons , humans & dragons to live amongst each other in peace . on that note , mitsuri would looooove to talk about girly things with rose .she’d invite her to sleepovers , to go shoppng & to cook meals with her . mitsuri’s favorite thing to do is share a meal with friends since she hates eating on her own .

𝐫𝐮𝐢

lol . last demon slayer muse — i promise ! with rui , this will allow for a whole new side of the story — i think . like how rose knows jake , a dragon that she must slay , we have rui ; a demon who is not all that kind like tanjiro’s sister .

rui & other demons , have to eat humans in order to survive — which makes them enemies with humans of course , but he was once human too . all the demons in the series are the same . each situation revolving around turning into a demon is different , but they usually revolve around some kind of tragedy . not many slayers would know this cuz they would have to slay them & the demons would be compelled to eat them , but rui is a little bit different .

he doesn’t hate humans , but he will eat them only if necessary . he’s considered one of the strongest demons & in turn means he has eaten plenty of humans in the past , which has resulted in him not being as hungry as the typical demon . with that in mind , he has plenty of self control & would even kill a human & leave their body be if someone were to disturb him in any way . with that in mind , he’s fine with talking to humans & he would rather befriend someone .

rui is a lonely demon that has a warped sense of reality , in that he tries to keep people around him at all times . he’s afraid of being alone , but mostly fears being betrayed . since turning into a demon many years ago , he has lost his memories on his family who stayed human . he currently wishes to make a new family to fill this emptiness inside — despite no really understanding what it is he wants exactly .

with rose knowing the other demon slayers & possibly befriending rui ( this is optional of course ) , i think it would at an interesting conflict between everyone . i cut down the little details , but i’m fine with clarifying & discussing this further , lol !

𝐛𝐮𝐫𝐧𝐞𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐚𝐫

burner , in her open verse , is a fugitive from her fictional country known as graymark . because of crimes she committed , she’s a criminal of interest that must be captured for execution . burner’s assistance is still needed , as she is part of the rebellion to overthrow the corrupt government . for now , she travels the world while regaining her strength to continue fighting for her peoples rights under the falsehood that she’s working alongside her father .

while she tries to stay focused on her task at hand , burner can’t help but get distracted by the new things she’s experiences . because she grew up in poverty , this new life in other countries is fascinating to her . eating delicious foods & going to places like amusement parks , watching sports games or going to an arcade is something she’s never done before . burner would be like a kid in a candy store in a setting like this . maybe rose could be good friends with her & show her around america before she has to go back to graymark .

considering the circumstances back in graymark , she wouldn’t be sure if she would come back in one peace , but assures rose that she’ll try to send letters to her .

i’m open for expanding more ideas of course !!

𝐜𝐚𝐫𝐦𝐞𝐧 𝐬𝐚𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐞𝐠𝐨

i think the two would be really good casual friends ! carmen is a little bit of a secretive person because of she’s a processional thief that returns stolen things to their rightful owner — sorta like a vigilante of sorts , but she works with like the cia as well .

the two have second lives & them coming clean about it to one another would be a fun thread idea . the two could even train each other in martial arts since they both practice it — but rose would be a lot better than carmen .

carmen travels around the world a lot for her job & has friends in a lot of the countries she visits that help out . i think rose would be a great help of hers that carmen would definitely keep in her contacts . maybe the two could be travel buddies too ? road trips & all that cool stuff !
