Designing a persona is fun but really hard 😭
#i mean persona as in like a persona from the video game series btw not like a persona in general#felt the need to clarify because apparently thats a thing#but like ok#picking one isn't necessarily difficult#finding a mythological character/creature/fictional character whatever to fit with your character can be pretty easy!#designing on though 😩#its like ok#for me personally#i feel it needs to be the right balance of being able to recognize who the persona is supposed to be#and arguably more importantly who the persona belongs to#i mean its not always the case that the persona looks like the mythological figure#take johanna and penthesilea for example they're not instantly recognizable (esp the former)#but you can tell instantly who their users are!#well actually penthesilea is more complicated but im not going into that lmao ill get carried away#but then take idk captain kidd#you can tell pretty much straight away he's a pirate! and if you know about his lore then yeah you can tell who he is#and its very obvs who his user is#caesar is another good example#so for me when designing my own its so hard to get that balance exactly right 😩#in case nobody guessed it i am once again considering redesigning pimpernel my boy's persona 🧍#this would be his 5th redesign#im close i can feel it but still not quite there#im also like an extreme perfectionist so thats why its taking me so damn long to get it right#anyway i am chest deep in character design stuff rn so like all of this is on my mind#and i don't have anyone to talk to about it so im going to vocalize it to randoms and beloveds on the internet
