i dont know how to make a post about this without turning it into an essay but i like mlp g5 a lot so far. but to be honest i wish that they hadnt tried to connect it to g4 and had just done another complete reboot of the franchise that has nothing to do wiht g4 or at Least didnt say it was in the same universe as g4

#like i know its not that deep and a lot of the differences between g4 and g5 can be blamed on the massive timeskip #but stillll it feels weird. it feels like a completely new universe that theyre putting a bunch of g4 references in for no reaoson #other than g4 being super popular and them wanting to appeal to g4 fans #especially when in my opinion the story and world as we know it so far could function just fine without all that stuff thrown in #i FEEL like this is coming off as me saying i hate g4 and i dont.i love g4 #but its also lasted longer than any of the generations before it and i think its time to let it go and move on to a new continuity #like im not against callbacks or taking inspo from older gens g4 itself did that a lot with its characters being clearly based on g1 n g3 #but g5 didnt Do that they just said hey these take place in the same universe #look at this clip of the mane six completely unchanged from their g4 counterparts #thats just my opinion though its ok if you disagree and like i said earlier in the tags i know its not that deep #and who knows maybe all of the questions i have about this will be answered in the g5 cartoon. were getting a cartoon right idk #but. they also wouldnt Have to answer all those questions if they had just created a brand new continuity </3 ok ill shut up now #mlp g5 spoilers #mlp a new generation spoilers #i dont. knwo if this post counts as spoilers or How people are tagging spoilers sorry
