a wild time
#rant#svsss#on the comedy/satire of cultivation novels aspect? hilarious. fun. a good bizarre time#on the relationship???? aaa??#i sincerely hope and IMAGINE mxtx wrote Mo Dao Zu Shi more seriously and with more genuine-ness to the characters#cause like? while i LIKE all the characters in svsss?#shen qingqiu just suddenly being like 'guess i'll try out being gay cause it might help' is#bizarre at best and a little yikes at worst. i wish there'd been like... idk one scene where he stopped to reflect a TINY bit#on if he actually likes luo binghe (or any guys at al!!!) that way!!!#i mean... its semi-okay cause him just going with it is definitely IN LINE with the WHOLE fic making a joke out of book genres#but i feel like as one of the two real-people characters... he could have had a decent moment of real reflection...#and then 2nd... the one in canon sex scene is Yikes on a million levels? which i hopefully... imagine it was Supposed to be yikes#and again... just barely is handleable Because Luo Binghe is Supposed to be a fictional character#demon brute idiot with way too big a tool down There#but um... basically theres a chapter 84.1 extra that fixes a ton of the Yikes issues of the earlier scene... so im glad that extra exists#but that extra... still doesnt really cover how shen yuan goes mentally from 'whatever will save the world and my stupid disciple i care#about i guess' to 'yeah lets try out this banging thing and have Fun this time uvu'#thats a... big jump with no explanation or reflection in between....
