ALBUS: I’m happy to hear from you, I was quite upset when everything happened and… I keep trying not to think about it. It’s fine, mum patched me and Lily up when we got home, I might have to wear it in a sling for a while until we can get some potion to fix it, but I’ll be fine. Judiging by the impact I’d assume it was some sort of hex? I can’t be certain. I’m sure Lily will be the first to know before me so I’ll make sure she lets you know immediately. I know, me too. ☮ Friendship Headcanon

While Kitty has never outwardly hated Albus like she has with a lot - okay, most - Slytherins, they were never really close their first few years. It wasn’t until James’ birthday part at the Burrow that she really even noticed him, if she was honest. Hugo and Rose had been playing around with spells and had accidentally jostled the table, awakening Siriusly’s enchanted Snitch of a birthday cake. Unfortunately, the cake seemed hellbent on taking off to the sky. While everyone else panicked, Albus simply pulled out his wand and charmed it back down to the table. Ever since then, Kitty has been a little bit in awe of the boy. He’s quiet, but there’s definitely a lot lurking under the surface when it comes to him.
