I have a weirdass theory that basically Eclipse sees what Killcode has with his partner (this is assuming it's the grand aunt) and kinda wants similar; a spouse that absolutely adores him. Maybe it moved from Sun and Moon to people when he noticed the circle and saw it lead to a human home. He tries, they don't like it (rip anyone who would put up a fight, hense why the first guy didn't "last long"), so he kills them out of frustration. With MC he's kinda getting a three for one deal, he has the Fae he was into and also a human. That said considering how pissed off he is imma assume MC isn't safe at all 😭

It's a theory kinda difficult to explain will admit but nonetheless it's been bonking around my head

Sort of, he mostly depleted to a point where he just sees spouses as a means to an end (He actually has more vengeful feelings against Moon, so wants to poses him as revenge for not being his friend anymore) and Sun he has always had a crush on. He especially wanted him because he had a nice piece of property with a fairy circle around it (Eclipse is poor boy trying to marry girl with rich daddy) He also wants what's out of the ring so he can leave when he wants. If he Marry's the homeowner, he becomes the homeowner, and can roam where he wants on the land.

Fae being a species with limitations, its understandable when some of them do whatever it takes to break those limitations. (like how Seelie can't lie in the wild, but can in the mortal world, or cant enter a home without permission)
