And the other side of this, of like- Imogen and Laudna acting so differently around Ashton, versus around each other. If you put the three of them together something different (something regular?) spills out. But when they talk, just Ashton to Laudna and just Imogen to Ashton- the common threads stay strung out between them.

Ashton and Imogen talk about each other, and mention Laudna, the agreed similarities between Ashton and Laudna like a shorthand for understanding more, like a glossary in a textbook.

Laudna and Ashton talk about themselves, but refer to Imogen like a thing of admiration, like a wonder. A mirrored fascination like a shared road, like a steady standard, like moths to a flame.

Its not the same as getting them all in a room, we've seen that to an extent. It's like- lights, and crystals, and threads, fuck if i know, things strung up and shining when the light hits them differently and refracting into new colors and directions. Its not a balancing act, exactly, its like a chemical equation.

actually this is a serious question

people who write and publish serially--by which I mean that you're e.g. publishing/posting part one of something online for others to read/otherwise ingest before you've finished creating the entire work--how do you do it? how do you know what you're saying before you've said all of it?

What I'm writing now is fairly plotted out--I have a list of scenes, I have a general idea of what I want to say, I know what my points and my themes are--but as I'm writing chapter two I keep realizing that I need to set up xyz better in chapter one, or I realize that this other concept I dreamed up separately will suit the fic well so I need to incorporate it throughout

and I'm not saying it's good writing practice for me to put ch2 on hold and IMMEDIATELY go tweak ch1--honestly it's probably not, I should be more diligent about just making myself some notes & forging ahead until I've got a completed draft of the whole thing--but if I had posted chapter 1 as soon as I had a draft of it it would just be. worse? than it will be as a part of a completed whole. and yet serialization is the norm for longfics, isn't it? how do people do it?

well. thats lifesteal season 4!! WOW. ive been watching this server since season 2, but that was as a youtube viewer, i didnt check out any livestreamed stuff until this past january. and. well. i fixated a little. a lot actually. before january id kinda been on the edge of moving on from my multiple years long mcyt fixations, but lifesteal streams REALLY pulled me back in. ive been fixated on it to a degree that i havent been fixated on mc servers since uhhh. probably 2021 maybe. yeahhh. its been a lot. there have been downs(god i hate fixating on roleplay stuff i always get so caught up in it) but there have also been highs!!VERY highs! the server brought me sooo mich joy and exitement and stuff. anyway yeah!! big fan of season 4 and super exited for season 5 whenever that happens. hopefully ill stay fixated all the way through bc itd be nice to like fully watch from the beginning. twitch viewing is DEFINITELY a really different experience from youtube viewing but i like it. ummmm idk what im saying or why im sayong it but yeah. yippee!!
