I’ve never been... happy Wouldn’t that be nice? Is this the secret? Singing and dancing through life? Is my integrity worth anything at all?But happiness can’t come before its fall
#st tos#star trek#star trek tos#spock#this is a joke but now I'm thinking of a tgwdlm crossover/au#I'm actually not sure mr spock would survive until the end#he has incredible self-control but also way too many emotional issues#the hive specifically targets people's desire to connect; to get validation from a specific person or people in general#that's my hc for why they never got emma (on screen). because her desires were internal. she wanted to better herself#that's not something she could get through anyone else#(& yes she also wanted to reconnect with her family (& maybe connect w/ paul) but that's not the core of her desire)#and if course paul only started to become susceptible to the infection after he'd allowed himself to hope for/want a connection with emma#like he's had feelings for her even before but he was never gonna go anything about it#it's the allowing himself to *want* that sealed the deal. & through wanting emma also wanting more from life in general#& yes spock is pretty repressed but still he's way more internally aware of his issues than he lets through#(whoof managed to bring ut back around to star trek after all.
