the longer I spend on my improv content kick the more I realize how much I've sorta been doing impromptu casual improv for a long time without realizing that's what it was
#that's like communication method numero uno with the siblings#my brother was doing an extended bit the other day where he was pretending to be optimus prime#and my sister and I had to explain to him how to interview for a customer service job#and he just would not break no matter how bad it got#and those were the funnest parts of the grapevine (iykyk)#just someone saying something and then other people jumping in and taking off with it. i still think about the dismemberment one#and a bunch of the other classics not infrequently#a bunch of the best conversations I had at work were just one of my coworkers saying something dumb and me responding#and then both of us just deciding those were our characters for the next five minutes and escalating#i am under no delusion that i would be good at it in any sort of official capacity#but I totally understand the draw and boy is it fun when it works#pickle pontificates#jeff in the flask homunculus was one that nobody on earth would get except for my sister and I#and i don't even think it was that funny. we were just in a mood and we were on a walk#and one of us was doing like an off brand dwarf in the flask from fmab and the other was doing a news reporter#and we kept it going for like a solid 20 minutes. it was incredibly stupid
