Seems that connecting with an alien computer brain long enough for it to take over your brain and body had some lasting side effects

(They are SO on the same wavelength they could probably guess what the other is about to say before it's said. Dib picked up Irken so quickly he just thought he was clever- not that Irken was suddenly hardwired into his own brain. They went from horrible enemies to friends in like 2 years bc of this sudden same-wavelength thing) (this is a couple years later than that btw)
