I’ve seen a lot of people talk about how vale has a strange relationship with his parents and how his dad is not really the best father and sees his son as something that he can brag about to his friends. But I was wondering if you had any thoughts on or know anything about Marc’s parents and his dynamic with them or how they act cause the only things I know is are that they go to every race and he seemed to be the one comforting them when he gets injured. Also him and Alex seem co-dependent on eachother but Marc seems to rely on Alex a little bit more than Alex does on him and I was wondering is you had any thought to why or maybe it’s just an older sibling thing.

talking about marc’s parents feels a leedle uncomfy for me (PERSONALLY. everyone else go ham) bc well. they’re certainly part of marc’s story and we know a lot about him because they’re in marc’s orbit and he’s brought them into the public sphere, obviously. but they’re not the MOST public of figures, and marc himself doesn’t comment on his relationship with them much except to emphasize he loves them (as opposed to vale and graziano who have been pretty publicly quoted about their relationship multiple times)

so im not going to pretend i don’t have opinions (eye dooooooo) but i also think all of those things are a little nebulous and hard for me to personally articulate so i’m gonna steer clear bc if i do say something i wanna have it be thought out a lil more than my usual caffeine fueled migraine essays where frankly i skate by on clownery and my parasocial projections on marc as resulted by us both being aquarius suns and capricorn moons. my soul sister fr

and like marc clearly is very close to his family and, considering how bananas and high stakes/pressure his life is, that makes sense ! there’s also some stuff that makes me raise a little bit of an eyebrow in terms of like. putting the financial future of the family on him as a teen and the injury stuff as you’ve mentioned. so infer from that what you will but i’m gonna chill in tha corner on this one
