#I'm seeing people complain about this guy because his macarons/German roll cake didn't come out great though he still enjoyed making/eating#them#To that I say no shit it didn't come out as good as a pro baker - that's kind of the point of the series#that you'll almost always still make something edible (still decently tasty#even) as long as you don't give up and you follow the direction#You can do it because he can do it. He's not a pro. He says that repeatedly. Complaining it doesn't look as good as the bakery's version#is not a valid criticism of the point he's making. That is gatekeeping not encouraging.#So we can all stand in a circle and jack each other off over how mediocre we all are at everything#and how you need tons of practice and need to climb 6000 hills before you can even dare to say 'I made something good'#professing humility no matter how competent we actually are#or we can congratulate ourselves for daring to take on a task that seems daunting simply for the joy of the craft#and the dessert you get to eat after!
