So, do you think that Apollo did those please-notice-me-please dances that male birds do to attract females, when noticing/looking at his lovers or getting a crush on someone and trying to get their attention, with his wings
Or, was he tidying himself up to look more pretty and nice instead

You sit on the chair beside Aegon, your hand resting lightly on his arm. The room is filled with the dull murmur of the small council meeting, the voices of the Lords Tyland, Larys, Jasper, Otto, and Grand Maester Orwyle blending into an almost rhythmic drone. You can see Aegon's eyes glazing over as his mind drifts away from the discussions of grain supplies and tax levies. You know exactly where his thoughts have gone.
Aegon shifts in his seat, his fingers drumming lightly on the armrest. He can't stop thinking about the night before, the way your skin felt against his, the warmth of your breath on his neck. The council's voices fade into the background as he remembers the way you gasped his name, the look in your eyes as he pulled you closer. His lips twitch into a small, satisfied smile.
"Your Grace," Otto's sharp voice cuts through Aegon's reverie. "Would you care to join us in the present? We were discussing the matter of the Dornish threat on our southern border."
Aegon blinks, attempting to pull himself back to the present. "Yes, yes, of course," he says, though he has no idea what Otto was talking about. His mind is still on you, on the way your hair spread out across the pillows, the way you whispered his name.
Otto's eyes narrow. "It seems your thoughts are elsewhere, Your Grace. Perhaps you would care to enlighten us on what is so captivating."
Aegon feels the eyes of the council on him, but he can't help the smirk that forms on his lips. "Just thinking about my Queen," he says, his voice low and suggestive. "Last night was... eventful."
You feel your cheeks heat at the memory and the implication of his words. The council members shift uncomfortably in their seats, while Otto's face turns a deep shade of red.
"Your Grace," Otto says through gritted teeth, "perhaps now is not the time for such... reflections."
Aegon laughs, the sound rich and warm. "Oh, come now, Otto. Surely even you can appreciate the joys of marriage."
Tyland coughs, trying to hide a smile behind his hand, while Larys's eyes gleam with amusement. Jasper seems to be studying a particularly interesting spot on the table, avoiding looking at anyone.
The Grand Maester clears his throat. "Perhaps we should return to the matter at hand," he suggests diplomatically.
"Yes, let's," Otto agrees, his voice tight. "As I was saying, the Dornish—"
Aegon's thoughts drift away again, this time to the look on Otto's face when he walked in on the two of you in the gardens. Aegon had you pressed up against the stone wall, your skirts hitched up around your waist. Otto had stammered and turned bright red, backing away as quickly as he could.
"Y/N," Aegon says, turning to you with a wicked grin, "do you remember when Grandsire walked in on us?"
You can’t help but laugh softly, nodding. "Yes, I do. He looked like he was about to faint."
Otto's knuckles are white as he grips the edge of the table. "Your Grace, please," he grinds out. "This is neither the time nor the place."
"Lighten up, Otto," Aegon says, waving a hand dismissively. "A little levity never hurt anyone."
The tension in the room breaks slightly as the other council members chuckle. Otto, however, looks like he's about to explode.
"Perhaps we should adjourn for today," Aegon suggests, rising to his feet. "I believe we've accomplished quite enough."
Otto opens his mouth to protest, but Aegon is already moving, taking your hand and pulling you to your feet. "Come, Y/N," he says, his voice low and intimate. "Let's continue this discussion elsewhere."
As you leave the room, you can feel the council's eyes on your back, but you don't care. All that matters is the warmth of Aegon's hand in yours, and the promise of what the rest of the day holds.
Aegon leads you through the winding corridors of the Red Keep, his grip on your hand firm and possessive. The flickering torches cast long shadows on the stone walls, creating an intimate atmosphere that sets your heart racing. The echoes of the small council meeting fade away, replaced by the anticipation of what is to come.
Instead of heading to your private chambers, Aegon pulls you toward the grand library, a place of quiet refuge and intellectual pursuit. The scent of old parchment and leather-bound tomes fills the air as you enter, the dim lighting from the candles casting a warm glow on the rows upon rows of books.
"I've been thinking about you all morning," he murmurs, his lips brushing against your ear. "I can't wait to continue where we left off last night."
You shiver at his words, your own desire mirrored in his eyes. He leads you to a secluded corner, hidden from view by towering bookshelves. Aegon presses you against the polished wood, his hands eager as they roam your body. The library's quiet solitude only adds to the excitement, the risk of being discovered making your heart race.
But just as Aegon is about to pull you into a passionate kiss, a soft cough from behind a nearby shelf makes you both freeze. Aegon straightens, his head snapping towards the sound. Emerging from the shadows, a book in hand and expression stern, is Aemond.
"Aemond," Aegon says, a smirk playing on his lips. "I didn't expect you to be lurking in the library."
"I can see that," Aemond replies dryly, stepping into the candlelight. "Must you always be so public about your... activities, brother?"
Aegon laughs, the sound deep and unabashed. "Why not? What's the point of being king if you can't enjoy yourself?"
Aemond rolls his eye, clearly unimpressed. "There are other ways to enjoy oneself that don't involve making a spectacle."
Aegon pulls you closer, his hand slipping around your waist. "But where's the fun in that, brother? Life is too short to be so serious all the time."
You can feel the tension in the library, but there's also a hint of amusement in Aemond's gaze. He shakes his head, exasperated but not entirely unamused. "You are impossible, Aegon."
"That's why you love me," Aegon replies, grinning. "Now, if you don't mind, we were in the middle of something."
Aemond raises an eyebrow. "Clearly. But perhaps you could exercise a bit more discretion. The walls have ears, and not all of them are friendly."
Aegon waves a hand dismissively. "Let them listen. Maybe they'll learn something."
You bite your lip to stifle a laugh, the absurdity of the situation not lost on you. Aegon turns his attention back to you, his eyes dark with intent. "Shall we continue, my love?"
Aemond sighs, shaking his head again. "Very well. I'll leave you to it. But please, try to keep it down this time."
As Aemond turns to leave, Aegon can't resist one last jibe. "Don't be jealous, Aemond. You'll find your own fun one day."
Aemond pauses at the doorway, glancing back with a faint smile. "One can only hope."
The door closes behind him, and you and Aegon are alone once more. Aegon pulls you into a deep kiss, his hands eager and insistent. The interruption seems only to have fueled his desire, his need for you more urgent than ever.
"Now, where were we?" he murmurs against your lips, his voice a seductive whisper.
You smile, wrapping your arms around his neck. "Right here," you reply, pulling him closer.
As the passion between you reignites, the lingering humor of Aemond's intrusion adds a layer of excitement to the encounter. The grand library might have its hidden eyes and ears, but in this moment, all that matters is the fire burning between you and your king.
Your bodies are entwined, the weight of Aegon's heated skin pressing down on yours as you both clutch desperately at each other in the dimly lit library. The scent of parchment and aged leather fills the air, mixing with the intoxicating musk of your fervent lovemaking. Aegon's platinum blond hair falls over his eyes, glistening with sweat, as he murmurs your name — Y/N — with breathless urgency.
"More, Aegon," you gasp, fingers digging into his back, pulling him closer. His lips are on your neck, your shoulders, everywhere at once, as if he can never get enough of you.
"You always want more," he grins against your skin, his voice a low growl of pleasure and amusement. "And I always want to give it to you."
You arch against him, your breath catching as he moves within you, each thrust bringing you both closer to the edge. Your world narrows to the sensation of his body, the heat of his touch, the sound of his ragged breathing mingling with your own.
Just as the world is about to shatter into a million pieces of ecstasy, the library door slams open with a thunderous crash. "Aegon! Y/N!" Dowager Queen Alicent's voice rings out, sharp and furious.
Aegon jolts, startled, and the sudden motion pushes him deeper into you, causing you both to cry out in unexpected bliss. The impact sends you both stumbling backward into a massive bookshelf. There's a moment of stunned silence before the entire row of shelves begins to topple like dominos, books cascading to the floor in a chaotic storm of paper and bindings.
As the dust settles, you find yourself pinned beneath Aegon, both of you as naked as the day you were born. His violet eyes are wide with a mix of shock and lingering desire, but there's a hint of laughter in them too. You can't help but chuckle softly, the absurdity of the situation taking hold again.
Alicent stands there, her face a mask of fury, flanked by a pale and trembling Grand Maester Orwyle, who looks like he's about to collapse. His precious tomes from the Citadel lie scattered and crushed around you.
"Mother," Aegon starts, still half-laughing, "I didn't hear you knock."
"Knock?" Alicent's voice rises in pitch, her hands clenching at her sides. "You have no sense of shame or propriety! Look at you both!"
You glance at Aegon, then back at your mother, feeling no shame whatsoever. "We were...occupied," you say with a coy smile.
Aegon shifts slightly, still positioned rather intimately, and you can't help but stifle a giggle. "We were, indeed," he agrees, a mischievous twinkle in his eye.
Alicent throws her hands up in exasperation. "Occupied! In the library! Grand Maester Orwyle has important matters to discuss, and you are here...doing this!"
Orwyle makes a strangled noise, his eyes darting to the ruined books. "My...my tomes..."
Aegon looks around, still atop you, and shrugs. "They can be replaced, Orwyle. Unlike my dear sister-wife, who I cannot get enough of."
You can't help but laugh, reaching up to pull him down for a quick kiss. "Flatterer," you murmur against his lips.
Alicent's face turns an even deeper shade of red. "Enough! Both of you! Get up and get dressed this instant!"
With exaggerated slowness, Aegon finally rolls off you, standing and offering you a hand up. You take it, rising gracefully despite the chaos around you. Neither of you bothers to cover yourselves, reveling in your mother's discomfort.
As you both dress leisurely, Alicent mutters angrily under her breath, and Orwyle looks like he's aged a decade in mere minutes. The library is a mess, but to you and Aegon, it's just another amusing chapter in your reign as King and Queen.
Once clothed, Aegon winks at you, a smirk playing on his lips. "Shall we continue this...discussion later once more, my love?"
You return his smile, feeling the heat already rising again between you. "Oh, absolutely, Your Grace. I can't wait."
Alicent groans, turning away with a huff. "Seven save me," she mutters, but you can see the hint of a smile tugging at her lips. Despite her anger, even she can't deny the unbreakable bond you share with Aegon.
You and Aegon stride through the open doors of the library, a sea of wide-eyed servants parting before you. Whispers and shocked glances follow your every step, but you and Aegon remain completely unaffected, wearing expressions of amused indifference. The thrill of your recent encounter still lingers, and you can feel Aegon's hand subtly brushing against yours, a promise of more to come.
"Well," Aegon muses loudly, his voice echoing down the hallway. "Since the library is no longer an option, how about the throne room next?"
You hear a gasp from a cluster of maids, their faces a mix of scandal and fascination. Just as you are about to reply with a cheeky retort, Alicent's voice rings out from the library, where she is still consulting with Orwyle. "Aegon! Y/N! I swear by the Seven, if you even think about it, you'll both be confined to your chambers for a month!"
Aegon grins, leaning close to whisper in your ear. "I think she's bluffing. The throne room would be quite the statement, don't you think?"
You laugh softly, shaking your head. "Perhaps another time, Aegon. We should at least pretend to heed her warnings once in a while."
He sighs dramatically but nods, his arm slipping around your waist as you continue down the hall. "Very well, my Queen. For now."
The next morning, the sun filters through the windows of the council chamber, casting a warm glow over the ancient stone walls. Alicent paces back and forth, her brow furrowed in frustration. Across from her, Otto Hightower sits at a polished wooden table, his expression calm but concerned.
"Alicent," he begins, his tone measured, "we need to address the behavior of the twins. This...scandalous display cannot continue. It undermines their authority and brings dishonor to the throne."
Alicent stops pacing, turning to face her father. "Believe me, Father, I am well aware. Yesterday's debacle in the library was just the latest in a long line of their...indiscretions."
Otto sighs, folding his hands on the table. "We must find a way to curb their impulses. Aegon and Y/N's bond is undeniably strong, but it is also causing disruptions. The court is buzzing with rumors, and the smallfolk are beginning to talk."
Alicent nods, her frustration evident. "I've tried talking to them, scolding them, threatening them with confinement, but nothing seems to work. They simply don't care."
Otto leans back in his chair, considering. "Perhaps we need a different approach. Something more...persuasive. Have you considered involving the High Septon? His influence could carry weight, even with those as headstrong as Aegon and Y/N."
Alicent's eyes widen slightly at the suggestion. "The High Septon? Are we really at that point, Father?"
Otto nods solemnly. "If we are to maintain order and respect, we must consider all options. Aegon is King, and Y/N is Queen, but they must learn that their actions have consequences beyond their own pleasure."
Alicent sighs, her shoulders slumping slightly. "Very well. I will arrange a meeting with the High Septon. Perhaps he can impress upon them the seriousness of their duties."
Otto reaches out to place a reassuring hand on her arm. "It is for the best, Alicent. For the realm, and for them. They must learn to balance their love with their responsibilities."
As Alicent nods, determined but weary, you and Aegon lounge in your chambers, blissfully unaware of the conversation taking place. Wrapped in each other's arms, you share a lazy, contented morning, your laughter and whispered promises a stark contrast to the serious discussions unfolding elsewhere in the Red Keep.
Aegon presses a kiss to your temple, his fingers tracing idle patterns on your skin. "What do you think Mother and Grandsire are plotting now?"
You chuckle, shaking your head. "No doubt some scheme to rein us in. But we have each other, Aegon. Whatever they plan, we'll face it."
He smiles, a slow, lazy grin that makes your heart flutter. "Always, my love. Always."

Your overly carefree attitude was what drew Joshua toward you in the first place, a hint of something sour lacing your otherwise pleasant scent. It was a front, clearly; one he fully intended to break through. He flashed a smirk over his shoulder as he dropped Jeonghan’s hand and carefully sidled up next to you, his brother following suit on your other side. Your eyes blinked open as your arm brushed against the elder, startling and stumbling back into Joshua’s chest. He reached a careful hand out to steady you, meeting your wide, doe-eyed stare with a soft smile.
“I’m so sorry, we didn’t mean to startle you,” he called over the music, holding his hands up in a peaceful gesture once you were steady. “You just looked like you were having so much fun, we were hoping we could join you.”
Your eyes narrowed warily, and Jeonghan flashed a smirk from over your shoulder, cocking an eyebrow at him in challenge. The look was gone quickly as you turned, letting your eyes drag over him before you returned it to Joshua, giving him the same treatment. On any normal night, you’d scoff and turn them away without a second thought. With your recent rejection fresh in your mind, though, the prospect of a night spent with one or both of the gorgeous men beside you was a very appealing one. Their presence was intoxicating already, and you felt yourself leaning subconsciously into them. Slowly, the tension in your body eased, a smirk spreading over your features.
“I don’t see why not.”
Joshua grinned, taking half a step closer to you as he finally let his gaze rake over your body. “Fantastic,” he practically purred, a glint of something mischievous in his eyes. “I’m Joshua, by the way.”
Before you could return his greeting, you were cut off, his friend’s arms settling loosely on your hips as he settled behind you. “Jeonghan,” he muttered, his breath sending a shudder down your spine.
“Y/N,” you breathed, leaning back into him. “I’m Y/N. I take it you two are a package deal?”
They both chuckled to themselves as Joshua slotted himself in front of you, taking your hands and settling them on his shoulders. “You don’t seem too bothered by that.”
You hummed, shaking your head as you let yourself melt between the pair, the warmth of their bodies wrapping around you to dull the noise of the party. “Bothered? No. Curious, yes,” you hummed, reaching up to card a hand into Joshua’s hair. “Why do you need little ol’ me when you’ve got each other?”
To your surprise, the quieter man behind you barked a laugh, his grip tightening on your hips. “You misunderstand, lovely. We’re not interested in one another. We just happen to have similar tastes.” You grinned, glancing at him out of the corner of your eye. The darkness in his gaze sent a shudder down your spine. “And a penchant for competition.”
Breath catching in your throat, you turned your startled gaze back to the man in front of you. He wore a similar expression to his friend as he pressed further into your space, sandwiching you between them. “What do you say, darling? Care to find out who can please you better?”

Can you do a quicksilver x reader where the reader has a twin and quick silver thinks the reader is cheating on him but it’s just the twin? (Gender neutral or male reader pls!!!)
a/n: i wanted to do this idea justice, so i tried my best to make the situation line up so that it would work. i hope you enjoy it, and thank you for your request! i also wanted to use this as writing practice for angsty feelings because i need to get better about showing and not telling
title: seeing double (peter maximoff x twin!gn!reader)
word count: 1015
warnings: obviously beliefs about cheating, angst but a happy ending, hurt/comfort, some pet names (babe/baby), use of the word shit (once), not really proofread, gender neutral reader technically but its pretty vague and pronouns are only used for the twin (unnamed + they/them/their) and peter (he/him)
GIF NOT MINE
~~~
He hasn’t realized he’s shaking until his chest starts to hurt. His head feels fuzzy and he wants to puke. You wouldn’t do that to him, would you? But he can’t fathom what could possibly be happening right now. You, with your lips on another man, your arms wrapped around him. His world feels like it's crashing down around him, with no logical thought in sight.
Peter can’t help it, he has to clear his head. He can’t think about what this entails, what will happen once he talks to you about this. He runs and runs until he’s found the arcade, burying his sorrows into Galaga.
~~~
Peter was acting…strange to say the least. Well, you’re sure he would be if he was around. He wasn’t the most “normal” person, but that’s what you loved about him. And you knew, after 2 years of being with him, that he was being too weird just by being gone.
He wasn’t in any usual place he’d be at, or any of his favorite hiding places (that you knew about). You asked your sibling, but they hadn’t seen him either. Not since earlier that day in the hall after he was done teaching. They were with their boyfriend, so only caught a glimpse of the silver-haired boy speeding away.
It wasn’t like him to just up and disappear, even if he was fast enough to do so. In fact, that man couldn’t go more than an hour without bothering you (lovingly) in some way.
You were about to call out all the stops and have Charles use Cerebro when Peter walks through your bedroom door, looking somber. His hair is unkempt and he’s fidgeting more than usual.
“Oh my god, Peter, where have you been? I’ve been worried sick, what’s going on?” You exclaim as you stand up to meet him. It feels like the words are spilling out of your mouth.
He closes the door gently. “We should talk.” Your heart drops, but you gesture for him to sit on the edge of your bed, joining him on his right once he sits. You feel a pit in your throat but you try to swallow it down.
He’s silent and refusing to look at you, and taking shaky breaths in and out. “Hey, what’s going on?” you ask softly, reaching out to touch his arm, but you decide against it. It’s at this moment you wish you had Jean’s powers instead, so you could understand what was going on.
“Are you cheating on me?”
Your entire body goes cold, muscles tightening. Your mouth is open, but you make no move to hide your shock. “What?”
“I saw you earlier in the hallway, with some other guy.” Even in a time where you’d think he’d be seething, his voice remains even. It was scary; he was never serious for very long.
“Babe, I’ve been teaching all morning, and then I went straight from a classroom to back-to-back training sessions. I’ve barely had time to eat.”
“Then who could I have seen?” His voice is uneven and shaking now, like he’s on the verge of tears. “I want to believe there's a good explanation.”
You pause, taking a deep breath to try and bring some reason to your mind. When you finally realize what was happening, you let out a laugh. He finally looks at you, eyebrows furrowed. “What?”
“You know, for a speedster-” you laugh a little more, cutting yourself off, “you sure were slow about this one. Peter, what kind of sibling do I have?”
“A twi-ohhhh” he closes his eyes, dropping his head into one of his hands. “Oh, god, I’m so sorry baby, I wasn’t even thinking. I was so stressed because my class was acting up and I wasn’t thinking straight.” He’s ranting, now refusing to look at you out of embarrassment.
“Maximoff, look at me,” you tell him gently, smiling at the confusion. Honestly, there are long stretches of time where you forget about your own sibling, about the lack of similarities, because you never see them. It’s a big and busy school, what can you say?
He peeks out his eyes from behind his hand, but won’t remove it. You set a hand on his thigh, rubbing gentle circles with your thumb. “Hey, I’m not mad. I’m glad you cleared your head and talked to me about it.”
When your relationship with Peter first started, he would suppress anything he was upset about, whether it was towards you or not. He’d ignore the issue and jump head-first into any distraction he could find. It took a lot of coaxing to get him to talk about anything bad that happened.
“You’re not mad?” He asks quietly while removing his hand from his face, grabbing yours with it. His eyes are searching your face intensely, tears filling the rims. Your heart feels like it's beating so loud. It’s a rare occurrence that he’ll cry.
“No, not at all. I have a twin, shit like this will happen.”
He looks at you for a moment before he leans in for a gentle kiss and then pulls back. “I didn’t think you’d do that to me by the way. That’s why I was so confused, it didn’t make sense.”
“I know, baby.” You lean your head on his shoulder. “You don’t have to explain. I’d be upset too if I was in that situation.” He rests his head on top of yours and then pulls you both down so that you’re laying on your bed. He’s exhausted suddenly, all of the panic and confusion and hurt crashing and dissipating.
He shifts so that he’s holding you against his chest and you wrap your arms around him tightly. It’s a long time just laying in silence, and he thinks that you’ve fallen asleep, but when he pulls back slightly he sees you looking up at him.
“Soooo,” you drag out. “I’ve got the rest of the day off, and you do too. What do you wanna do?”
“Star Wars marathon?” He grins.
You return the gesture. “Absolutely.”

Hope you can write this :))
stake out
(im so glad you saw the post! i hope this is okay, it didn’t really pan out as I thought it would but you can be the judge of that)
pairing: tangerine x reader (sort of)
cw: strong language and violence
word count: 3,991
————————————————————————
You phone rang, Tangerine and Lemon were outside waiting for you. Dragging your suitcase with you, you locked your house and made your way to the car. You took a minute to admire the car, Tangerine had a thing for sport cars. Usually you didn’t care much for them but you had to admit this one was nice. Lemon got out and put your suitcase into the boot.
“Thank you Lemon, what a gentleman you are.” You smile and get into the car. “Nice car.”
“All my cars are nice.” Tangerine replies. “I forgot to tell you, we needed a fourth member for this task. So we’re on our way to pick up Stacey.”
“Stacey? Who the fuck is Stacey,” you queried.
“Our fourth member,” remarked Tangerine . In his usual flat tone.
“I had no idea.” You roll your eyes and settle into your seat.
The car pulled up to Stacey’s place, it was a fancy apartment complex Tangerine blared the horn practically making you jump out of your seat. A few minutes later you see a gorgeous blonde woman walk out of the apartment complex with a bunch of luggage, you watch her walk towards the car, her hips swaying as she walked. You and Lemon shared a glance through the mirror and once again he got out of the car, putting her luggage into the boot.
The car door opens and you’re hit with an overwhelmingly sweet perfume, you clear your throat and look over at her. She looks you up and down then gasps when she sees Tangerine.
“Oh my goddess!” Her shrill voice squeaks.
“What?” Tangerine turns around to look at her, you sit there flicking your eyes back and fourth between them watching the painful encounter.
“Oh nothing,” she winks. You involuntarily pulled a face of absolutely disgust, you didn’t have to look at Tangerine to know how unimpressed he was by this.
Lemon gets back into the car and Tangerine starts talking about the mission, telling everyone his tactics and game plan. Stacey nods along to everything he says whilst twirling her hair in her fingers, you watch her absolutely baffled at the idea of her being in this career field. How the fuck was she supposed to kill someone?
“You didn’t introduce us.” Lemon says to Tangerine.
Tangerine sighs. “You do it then, fuck sake,”
Lemon turns to Stacey and you in the backseat. “Im Lemon, this is Tangerine you already know that and this is (Y/N).”
“Cute name.” Stacey smiles.
“Thank you! It’s-” she cuts you off.
“I wasn’t talking to you.”
“…right.” You scoff and look out the window, for the entirety of the journey you listen to her flirting with Tangerine. However you can’t tell if he’s not picking up on it or it’s just that he doesn’t care, regardless it was doing your head in and taking everything in you not to stick a knife in her neck.
You arrive at the hotel and check in, you are almost taken back by how fancy it was, you felt extremely out of place in your clothes. So you made Lemon come with you to buy fancier clothes.
“How did you forget to tell me to bring pristine shit?” You laugh whilst looking through a rack of dresses for your size.
“I told Tangerine to sort everything.” Lemon shows you a dress, you screw your face up at it.
“Wayyyy too many ruffles fucking hell.” You find the dress in your size and put it into your basket. “He didn’t forget to tell Stacey did he?” You scoff.
Lemon squints his eyes at you. “Are you jealous?”
“Jealous?! Me? Jealous?! What?! Absolutely not! Fuck me youre on something.” For the rest of the shopping trip you go on about how there’s absolutely no way you’re jealous and that Lemon is crazy. He thinks it’s the funniest thing ever, you however are not so pleased.

“Hey (Y/N)? Is Tan single?” Stacey asks batting her eyelashes at you. You two were in your shared hotel room, Tangerine and Lemon were staying in the room next to you.
“Why?” You question. For some reason your stomach drops as she asks. Especially now that she was saying the nickname you always call him. But no. You weren’t jealous, absolutely not.
“Can you not see the chemistry we have? I mean god I’m already picking out our children’s names. I’m thinking Beatrice for a girl and Christopher for a boy.”
You give her a strange look. “Tangerine would not like those names.”
She walks up to you, hand on her hip and tries to assert the power in the situation, you cross your arms and look at her.
“You are a real bitch. You’re just jealous of me and Tangerine. I’m telling you by the end of this mission he’ll want me.”
“I don’t care at all.” You scoff and grab your clothes. You get changed into your new dress, it’s a classic black dress that compliments your figure perfectly.
You, Tangerine, Lemon and Stacey head down to dinner and sign in with your fake names. You sit opposite Tangerine and next to Lemon.
“I was thinking we need to solidify our cover stories,” you say taking a sip of your drink.
“What were you thinking?” Tangerine asks, one thing you appreciated about him was the way he didn’t diminish your intelligence like most men did who work this job. They find it wild that a woman could be smart enough to pull off an elaborated plan, but that was ballsy considering you thought you were pretty good.
“We’re here celebrating an engagement between two of us-“
“Me and Tangerines engagement!” Stacey cuts you off. You pinch the bridge of your nose and Lemon starts laughing beside you, you kick his ankle under the table and Stacey looks confused. “What?”
“Yeah. What? You two are children and if you don’t stop you’ll get us sussed out.” Tangerine tuts as he finishes off his drink.
“(Y/N) is just being-“ Lemon starts.
You elbow him so hard in the ribs that he flinches. “Shut the fuck up.” The food comes and you guys start eating, as you’re eating you notice a group of men bunch together and head towards the kitchen. Luckily your seat gives you a clear view of them and you watch them walk into the kitchen.
“Tangerine. Play along with this.” You say, he agrees, you pull a hair from your head and set it on your plate then and you stand up acting disgusted. “Filthy! Absolutely disgusting.”
Soon a waitress comes over, worried at your behaviour. “Im sorry is everything okay over here?”
“No everything is not okay. My fiancée has a hair in her food, this is ridiculous.” Tangerine stands up, you can’t help the smug look that falls onto your face watching Stacey look offended. You hear Lemon snickering beside you, you glare intensely at him then you smile sweetly at Stacey and turn to the waitress.
“I want to speak to your chef.” You demand. And so the waitress leads the way, Tangerine walks with you. His hand resting on your lower back. You felt your stomach doing flips as he placed his hand there.
In the kitchen Tangerine talks with the Chef as you scan your eyes around the kitchen looking for where these men could have gone. That’s until you see a man fully suited walk out of the stock room. Tangerine and you walk out of the kitchen after clearing everything up.
“Fiancée huh?” You tease.
“Improvisation,” Tan replies, a smirk apparent on his face.
“Stacey won’t be happy.” You playfully tut.
“What do you mean?” Tangerine furrows his brows.
You laugh until you realise he’s being serious. “My god you’re blind.
You reach your table as you said that. “No tell me what do you mean?” He asks.
“Tell you what?” Stacey interferes.
“None of your business Tracey.” You suck your teeth.
“My name is-“
“Jesus christ! No one cares.” You snare.
Lemon can’t hide his laugh and you turn to him, shaking your head. “Seriously what is up with you today?” You ask.
“I think you have to ask yourself that question (Y/N).” Lemon replies
“You know what I think? I think you’re all being fucking weird today.” Tangerine grumbled.
You all finish your food. However you feel your stomach churning as Stacey starts sliding her hand up Tangerines arm, she whispers something in his ear and he doesn’t seem fazed by it at all. You didn’t realise you were gripping your glass until it shatters in your hand.
“Fuck.” You gasp, you look at your hand. You had glass shards stuck in your hand as the blood dripped onto the white table cloth.
“Tan you and Stacey sort the bill, we’ll go sort (Y/N)’s hand.” Lemon suggests. You all agree and you follow Lemon back to his and Tangerines room.
Upon walking in your hit with the familiar scent of Tangerines cologne, a scent you found yourself drawn to. You didn’t quite understand why, but anytime you smelt something similar your heart would skip a beat. But you didn’t care about him like that.
“What is up with you?” Lemon asks as he removes the glass from your palm, you hiss in pain.
“Nothing.” You grunt.
“Im not stupid. I’ve know you for three years now and never have I ever seen you so jealous.”
“Im not jealous!” You practically shout, the pain from your hand didn’t help the matter. This time Lemon didn’t laugh, he just sighed as he cleaned your hand.
“You know if you have feelings for Tangerine that’s okay. I don’t know why you’re so reluctant to admit that.”
“Okay maybe I find him attractive but I don’t have feelings.” You mumble.
“There we go one step closer to the truth. If we’re speaking truth I’ll admit these next few days are going to be the most entertaining days ever. I can’t wait.”
“Oh yeah this is so entertaining.” You scoff, “you’ve no idea how fucking annoying she is, and to make things worse I share room with her.”
“I do know because Tangerine was pissed off earlier because she wouldn’t shut up the entire car ride.”
You find yourself smiling once Lemon said that, you felt a little bit more relaxed. Maybe things wouldn’t be so bad. Lemon finishes fixing your hand, he stitched it and bandaged it up. He told you he was used to doing this, especially considering Tangerine is usually always fighting with someone. That was the polar difference between the two men, Lemon was calm but Tangerine was not, once that man gets pissed off he just goes off on a rampage. You’ve witnessed this multiple times, however it didn’t scare you. You secretly found it hot. But that fact you would carry to your grave.
Soon after Tangerine and Stacey come back and you guys sit to come up with a game plan for the next day. You agreed to spilt into pairs of two, you and Tangerine, Lemon and Stacey. Poor Lemon was all you could think. Anyways, you all would go to breakfast, but you would leave the table to go to the bathroom. But really you’d try get into the Casino area. If you got in successfully you were to look for whatever you could find that would identify the men you needed to assassinate. You’ll then come back, after breakfast Tangerine and Lemon would go inquire about said Casino, Lemon said there was a code name for the Casino and that was how you’d get in. And at dinner time Stacey and Lemon would go there, play a game of poker or whatever. Whilst you and Tangerine get dinner. Then once Lemon and Stacey had identified the men you would go in and kill them. Then on the third day you guys can use the spa.
———————————————————————
You get up from the breakfast table and head towards the bathroom. Since the restaurant at the hotel is a separate part there’s bathrooms there for customers. And thankfully they were opposite the kitchen, you walk up the hall and slowly open the kitchen door. You peep your head in to see only one man in there who’s back is to the door, you take your time sneaking in and walk into the stock room. At first you think you’re wrong until you look around and realise the back wall is fake, you find the hatch and walk in. And just as you thought there is the casino, you were actually surprised to see it as a legitimate full blown casino. Using the flash of your phone you look around. Quickly you come across what you assume to be guest book, it had ten names of it, three of which matched up to the names you were given by the man who hired you. He had said there were eight members to assassin and three members whose identities he knew. You take a picture and sneak back out again.
You sit at the table with a smug smirk on your face. “Well ask me how it went!”
“How did it go, love?” Tangerine chuckled. Your cheeks flushed as he said that, it wasn’t a new thing to hear. Tangerine called all women love, but for some reason it had you internally screaming.
“Amazing. I found a guestbook with ten names on it.”
“It’s not like you had much to do.” Stacey scoffed. “Tangerine here..” she squeezes his arm “found the room in the first place.”
“No, (Y/N) did. It was her that got us into the kitchen and it was her that spotted the room.”
Stacey let go of his arm and finished her food silently. You glare at her with a smug look on your face and crossed your arms. She looked pissed off, but you weren’t bothered or intimidated in the slightest. And of course Lemon was laughing into his hands.
After breakfast the four of you go to you and Stacey’s hotel room. That was after Tangerine and Lemon had gotten access cards to the Casino, everything was going smoothly. You and Tangerine were debating whether or not killing these men would be hard, you said it wouldn’t, Tangerine said it would considering we’re massively outnumbered. It was all lighthearted until Stacey buts in.
“It won’t be hard Tan don’t worry darling. I know you’ll protect me.” You hide your hands in your face to control the unbearable second hand embarrassment you just got. You peak over at Lemon through your fingers, hes laughing into his hand and Tangerine just awkwardly laughs to what she has to say. This makes her get confident and sit beside him leaning into him to the point there wasn’t even a slither between them.
You felt your blood boil as you bit your lip. She was seriously getting on your nerves. But there was nothing you could do about it, she was important to the mission and therefore you had no choice but to suck it up. The next few hours until dinner were complete utter hell. Genuinely awful. Stacey seems to be getting worse by the minute, anytime Tan just tolerated her god awful flirting it encouraged her to get more and more into it. You had to leave the room once she playfully punched his arm.
You lean against the wall feeling nothing but pure envy. You weren’t envious that Tangerine didn’t care to flirt back, but you were envious that she had the courage. Admitting you’re jealous in turn made you aware that you did in fact feel something for Tan. It wasn’t simple, and you knew loving someone like him wouldn’t be straightforward. It’s not like he’s the most loving man to walk the planet, so you wouldn’t even be guaranteed commitment, and you also acknowledged that you couldnt watch him leave for work and not worry sick. But that wasn’t the point. The point was you had been too proud and now some brainless fuck is there all over him, all over your Tan.
“Everything okay?” Lemons voice pulls you from your thoughts.
“Yeah, just can’t sit through that. It’s painfully embarrassing.”
Lemon laughs in agreement, he also looked as traumatised as you. You couldn’t understand how Tangerine couldn’t see right through it, it surprised you how such a smart man could be so fucking blind. On that thought the door opens and Tangerine walks out.
“What are you two doing. Planning some fucking dance party?”
“Exactly what we’re doing.” You respond. Tangerine shakes his head.
“Seriously though what are you doing?”
“Talking about your girlfriend.” You respond.
“My girlfriend?” Tangerine pulls a puzzled expression. “I don’t have a girlfriend.”
“Fuck me you’re so stupid.” You put a hand to your forehead. “Do you not see how badly she wants to fuck you?”
“Jealous?” Tangerine raises his brows.
“…no.”
“She’s a proper diesel.” Lemon adds.
“What did I fucking tell you? Hm?” Tangerine sighs, Lemon shrugs in response. “No fucking Thomas talk for fuck sake.” Tangerine throws his arms up in exasperation. You and Lemon share a side glance, someone wasn’t happy.
———————————————————————
You strap you knife to your thigh as you readjust your skirt. You fix your outfit and reapply your lipstick, just as you do that you get a knock on the door. You open the door to see Tangerine, you smile and step aside to let him in. He walks in and sits on the foot of your bed.
“Just let me get my shoes on.” You say, you slip your shoes on and grab your bag.
“You brush up well.” Tangerine teases.
“Can’t say the same for you,” you taunt him as you both walk out the door.
You walk down to dinner together, you arms linked. You couldn’t help but smile the entire way there, it felt stupid to be so into him but at this point there was no denying it you just thanked your lucky stars that you weren’t around Stacey. Poor Lemon you thought, you wondered what they would even be talking out. You two arrive at the restaurant and like a true gentleman Tangerine pulls your chair out for you, you can’t help but laugh and he even cracks a smile.
“Aren’t you a joy.” You tease.
“Only the best for my fiancée.”
“Everything but a ring,” you tut, he rolls his eyes at you and you get halfway through your meal when Lemon sends you the code.
“Come on. Lemon wants us,” you both gather your things and walk towards the kitchen.
Getting in this time is much easier considering Tangerine knows the code, the chef is more than happy to welcome you two to the casino. The smell of cigars and whiskey hit you like a brick, not pleasant at all. You hold onto Tangerines arm and you walk to the Poker table. You sit across from Lemon and Stacey, on your right are two guys and on Tan’s left is another pair of men. You start to play a game and you’re surprised to see Tangerine is good at this, or at least that’s what you thought considering you’d never played poker before and had absolutely no idea what to do. So you let him do it all. Tangerine gives the indication and all four of you stand and go behind a guy. You lean down and whisper into his ear.
“What’s your name?” Your breath cool against the warmth his skin radiates. He tells you his name, and hum contently in response then slice his jugular. Killing him instantly. You wipe the blood that you got onto your hand on his suit jacket. The other three also killed their men, and without drawing attention to anyone else in the room. There were another five guys.
“(Y/N) go to those two, show them your tits or something.” Tangerine says, pointing to the men sitting at the jackpot slots.
“Oh how charming are you.” You scoff and make your way over to the men. You sit in between them and like the creeps they were they seemed not to mind at all. You leaned into the guy on your left, “what’s your name?” Another one on the list, “and yours?” You ask the guy on your right. Again on the list. “Great!” You smile.
You listen to them mansplain the odds of winning and how gambolling was a thrill. You nodded along, batting your eyes at them. That was until you killed them both. You walk to Tangerine, he killed the seventh guy. Only one left on the list, but you had to kill the other man there of course. You hear some struggling and look over your shoulder to see Stacey being choked up against the wall. You sigh and go over there, you floor the man who had her up against the wall. Straddle his chest and slit his throat.
Lemon takes care of the remaining man and you all walk out untouched. You liked jobs like that, easy and non-problematic plus you were getting paid a fuck ton for this. The four of you went back to the men’s room with a celebratory bottle of champagne.
“Wait.. how won’t we get caught?” Stacey asks, you sigh as you’ve explained this four times already. Apparently two glasses of champagne has her incoherent.
“For the fifth and final time. Our names were not on the guest book. Only one man’s name was. Of fucking course he’s going to be blamed for this.” You snap. This made her cry. She tried to get reassurance off of Tangerine but he didn’t even respond to her wails. Ten minutes into her diva meltdown she walks out of the room and into her own. You could cry in relief.
“Thank fuck.” Tangerine remarks. You look at him with an eyebrow raised.
“Thought she wasn’t so bad?”
“Changed my mind, she’s a fucking nightmare.”
“A true diesel.”
“Whatever makes you happy.” You reply to Lemon.
The three of you finish the bottle and spend the next hour talking, mainly ripping into Stacey but not just. Eventually you left their room and went to bed, Stacey was already asleep.
———————————————————————
Tangerines car pulls up outside your place and you get out of the car. This time instead of Lemon helping you with your stuff Tan does. He gets your stuff out of the boot and walks you to your door.
“Thank you Tan.” You smile as you unlock the door.
“I’ll set your stuff inside.” He walks in with you and sets your suitcase on the marble floor.
“So Stacey..?”
“Stacey what?”
“Are you following up with it or?”
“…are you having a fucking laugh?”
You roll your eyes in response, a grin cracking at your lips. “She’s not really your type anyways.”
“Yeah? What’s my type love. Tan smirks.
“You need someone like yourself, someone who’s not over the top and annoying.”
“Is that so?”
“Mhm.” You look down at the ground as you bite back a smile.
Tangerines hand lifts your chin then all of a sudden he’s grabbing your hips and then his lips are on yours, passionately kissing you. You slide a hand into his hair as you open your mouth, his tongue enters your mouth, fighting your own for dominance. You tug on his hair causing him to bite your lip, you groan as he pulls you closer. The sound of the car horn blaring startles you and you pull back. You let out an airy laugh as his hands release your waist.
“You should go.”
“Yeah, Lemon must be pissed.”
“Alright. Bye Tan.”
“Bye love.”
He walks out the door and you take a moment to stand there and process what just happened. You weren’t sure what this meant for you both but you could only hope it would turn into something, and your hoping came true.

Real or Not (Pt 5/5)
Dean Winchester x Reader
Dean makes it to Donna's
Always a pleasure "working" with @lacilou
Donna had met you at the door, waving at Claire as she backed out of the driveway. You half expected her to ask but instead she smiled "Ya know where the guestroom is and guest bathroom. Why don't ya go get a shower and change into more comfy clothes then we can talk or not whichever" you instantly pulled her into a hug trying very hard not to cry. She held you for a few moments, rubbing your back soothingly then leaned back to smile at you again "Want tea or coffee waiting?" "Tea please"
You, the boys and Jody's girl all kept extra clothes at Donna's. She was a safe place to crash. Once you were out of the shower and dressed you stared at yourself in the mirror, immediately regretting not paying better attention when you grabbed clothes. You'd gotten a pair of your sleep shorts out but the shirt you'd grabbed was an old henley of Dean's.
-----------------
You ignored the ache in your chest as you brushed your hair out then headed out the bathroom. You padded softly down the hall enjoying the feeling of the cool hardwood floor under your feet.
When you made it to the kitchen Donna was standing with her back to you, you saw she had her phone to her ear and started to step out to give her more privacy until you heard your name. The bits you caught were "Jody's gonna flip" "You shouldn't have went back Claire" "Yeah I know" "I know how two faced Camila is" "I don't think Y/N is gonna believe me though. I could strangle Dean"
You cleared your throat and had to stifle the urge to laugh when she spun around wide eyed looking very much like a kid with their hand caught in the cookie jar "Claire sweetie I gotta go. Give Jods my love and call me when ya get home"
You raised an eyebrow at her phone as she sat it down "What was that about?" She shrugged but when you crossed your arms she let out a sigh "Claire had a talk with Camila" "A talk?" You asked skeptically and she flinched "She might have gave her a black eye, broke her phone and told her if she came within fifty feet of you she'd get worse that than"
You felt your heart warm at Claire's protectiveness but felt the need to say "While I appreciate Claire wanting to defend me she doesn't need to risk getting in trouble. That bitch isn't worth it" Donna nodded slowly and held out a steaming mug. When you took it you realized she was still staring at you "What else Donna?"
She shrugged "Camila told Claire she lied about a lot, like the ring thing" you shook your head "Even if Dean wasn't looking at rings, he was willing to quit hunting.... Donna he still hadn't even told me he loves me. How many signs do I have to let slap me in the face before I accept I'm not the one for him no matter how much it rips my heart out or how much I love him"
She opened her mouth as if to say something but you quickly forced a yawn "I'm gonna take my tea to the guestroom so I can lie down if that's ok" she nodded "Of course. Holler if ya need anything" you gave her a small smile before nearly running to the guestroom, shutting the door behind yourself.
------------
You sat the tea on the dresser before sitting on the bed. What were you supposed to do now? The bunker had been your home for quite some time before you and Dean ever shared a bed. Maybe the twins wanted a third for hunting? Or you could go with Claire some?
You eventually laid across the bed, hoping sleep would pull you under.
Dean parked next to Donna's truck feeling his heart skip around in his chest. He cut his eyes at Sam as he killed the engine "What do I say to get her to listen to me?" Sam shrugged one shoulder "Honestly?"
Dean felt his jaw clench as he said "Yeah honestly. I'm trying to fight for the woman I love her and this is new territory to me Sammy" a small smile slipped onto Sam's face "Don't gameplan man. Just talk to her, stutter and stammer if you have to. Just try to tell her how you feel and make her see you mean it"
He nodded slowly before climbing out of the impala, hearing Sam get out behind him. Before they made it all the way onto the porch the front door swung open and there stood Donna looking very pissed. "DEAN WINCHESTER! WHAT DID YOU DO?"
He flinched at her tone and held his hands in front of him defensively "I promise you my own crime is being stupid enough to think Camila had changed any. Anything she told Y/N was a lie. Please let me talk to her Donna" she looked from him to Sam before nodding "Ok, Sam ya wanna ride into town we me? The dinner has decent enough food"
Sam nodded "Sure" Donna leaned in to grab her coat before looking back at Dean "She's in the guestroom. Don't make me regret this Dean" Sam patted Dean's shoulder reassuringly before following Donna off the porch.
------------
Dean stepped inside and stopped. What if you didn't want to see him? What if you didn't believe him? What if you really were through?
He wanted to give into those self depreciating thoughts he had his entire life but your face popped into his mind. The smile you'd have when you would wake up next to him, how you'd wrap your arms around him and kiss between his shoulders while he cooked. The way you'd patch him up after a hunt or sit watching his every movement with tired eyes as he patched you up.
Every moment of your relationship and even before flashed through his mind. It was worth the risk. He knew for him that you were it, he just hoped you felt the same.
-----------
He walked to the guestroom and knocked twice. After a moment he heard your sleep ridden voice "Come in Donna" he hesitated, should he tell you it was him? After a moment he pushed the door open "Hey sweetheart"
You shot up in bed and stared at Dean for a long moment. Your first urge was to run to him or even cry but you bit both those down to let venom slip into your tone as best as you could "Where's Camila?"
He shrugged "Don't know. I came here to talk to you" you stood off the bed smoothing a hand over your hair as you did so. You refused to be sitting while he stood. You needed halfway equal footing.
"Why? To tell me yourself I never measured up to her? To tell me you would've quit hunting for her? Or or or did ya come to tell me stories about her like I heard you and Sam reminiscing about WEEKS AGO!" You hadn't realized the anger that was simmering under your pain but once you started talking it refused to not be fed.
You tool a step towards him "When would I have been enough Dean? I was friends with you and Sam for so long before we ever started getting closer. You had every chance to not yet you took me into your bed. You touched me, you kissed me, you made me feel wanted like you actually cared but all the while I was falling in love with you were you still hung up on her?"
"No" he answered it so matter of factly it pissed you off further. Your teeth clenched hard as you said "Then why don't you love me? Why don't you feel about me how I feel about? WHAT DOES SHE HAVE THAT I DON'T?"
------------
You felt angry tears slip down your face half a second before Dean was pulling you into his arms. You struggled, trying to break out of his embrace but knew he was stronger than you and your traitorous heart and body wanted nothing more than to melt into him. "Why don't you love me?" You half whispered half sobbed into his chest.
"I do love you" he spoke quietly. You pulled back from him to look up into his eyes "Don't say it to save my feelings" he gave you a smile that wasn't his usual flirtatious one but was genuine nonetheless "I'm not baby please can I talk now?" You nodded so walked the two of you over to the bed and sat down scooting back against the headboard pulling you onto his lap as he went and you let him.
------------
Once you were straddling him with your head resting in the bend of his neck he started to rub circles onto your back as he spoke "She lied about me wanting to quit hunting. She lied about a lot, that's all she ever did. When me and Sam were talking about her it was because he was giving me hell for not trying to get you sooner because he was comparing how much better of a hunter, cook and woman you are and I was agreeing. I have loved you for a while now but sweetheart this is new to me, I've ran from any feelings my entire life. I've ran from the possibility of opening myself up to being hurt but you? You could rip my heart out right now and I'll use my last breath to tell you I love you"
You leaned up to look into his eyes "I've felt so out of place since I heard you two talking about her. I wanted to trust in us, not just a lovers but as friends. Dean I've never dreamt of feeling how I feel about you. I love you" you pressed a gentle kiss to his lips and he sighed lightly into your mouth, a sound of contentment. When you pulled away he smiled again "I love you Y/N. A future for me? It's you. No matter what else may come my future is you"
You smiled again, feeling tears brimming in your eyes "Shut up and kiss me like you love me Winchester" He grinned at your words "Oh I definitely can do that"

I saw your requests are open for Harry Potter, was wondering if you’d do one with Fred Weasley 🥺👉🏻👈🏻 I’m like super obsessed w him rn
Plot can be whatever you’d like !
a/n: hi!! i love Fred too!! thank you so much for the request, I hope I did alright 😁
prompt: fred didn't die during the war - was only seriously injured. upon waking up at saint mungos, the obvious reaction is to flirt with the cute healer tending to him.
warning(s): it's been a while since i've read the books and I wasn't exactly paying attention to the lore while watching the movies. I made up some spells and plot lmao
word count: 1,073
Confervo
Waking up felt like dying, Fred thought as his eyes lifted open feeling like lead. His joints felt like stone, weighing him down onto the slightly cushioned bed. At first, the red headed twin thought he was in a muggle hospital, with the bright white walls and fluorescent lights disorienting him even more. But then he saw owls fly through the air, delivering messages and potion bottles flying into the hands of healers, standing at beds identical to Fred's. Speaking of...
"Hello there.." Fred attempted his best flirting tone, his consciousness desperate to impress the healer doing magic next to him. But all that came out was a croak akin to one of a dying frog. Mortified, Fred's face went red, wanting to hide under his blanket as you stifled your laugh under your hand, trying to keep the air of professionalism.
"Good afternoon, Mr. Weasley," your voice soothed the headache building behind his eyes, you raised your wand, assessing him as you continued speaking, "you gave everyone quite a scare you know. I'm sorry to tell you this, but you're banned from fighting anymore dark lords and his army."
Fred tried to laugh at your humor tinted words before reality crashed into him. Sitting up quickly, Fred felt pain shoot through his body. You shot forward, your hands steadying him as his eyes went wide with worry.
"Did we- Is my family okay? George? Ron? Ginny? Mum and Da-"
The comforting pressure of your hand on his shoulder cut him off. He looked up at you, his body relaxing at the answer in your eyes. Wincing, he leaned back, still sitting up but now in a more relaxed position.
“You won. He’s gone.”
You didn’t need to say the Dark Lord’s name, you didn’t want to. Even thinking of the man sent shivers down your spine, making you aware of every dark corner in the room. Fred watched as you walked over to your station, grabbing a potion bottle and twirling it around until the blue liquid turned clear. When you returned to the bedside, you poured some of the liquid into a spoon. The red head watched as the clear potion levitated above the metal utensil, only spilling down like water at a whispered spell that passed your lips.
“Confervo.”
You raised the spoon up to Fred’s lips, who took the potion with slight struggle. It spilled down his throat, tasting slightly of hazelnut. He raised an eyebrow at you, question in his eyes. You winced slightly, setting the spoon down before turning back to face him.
“The explosion you were caught in caused severe internal damage. The Confervious spell along with the knitting potion will heal whatever injuries our efforts haven’t been able to completely heal,” watching as Fred’s eyes widened, you were quick to console him, “But it’s okay! Because the duo has a 97% success rate and, not to brag, but I happen to be one of the best casters of the spell.”
Fred chuckled a bit at your attempt, his body starting to realize the trauma it had been through. You sat on the stool next to his bed, fiddling with your wand as you watched a pocket watch in your hand with intensity. Later Fred would find out that watch is how you saw the healing of his internal organs. Fred poked your arm playfully, getting your attention.
“So, what’s the damage?”
He wiggled his eyebrows but you just stared at him, waiting for an explanation. He used his eyes to ‘point’ at the area between his legs.
“Am I all still here?”
You sighed, folding your hands on your lap.
“Unfortunately, we couldn’t save it.”
Your serious face completely fooled Fred, who for a moment let complete terror take over his features. After a minute or two, you burst into laughter, causing Fred to groan and cover his face with his hands.
“You should’ve seen your face!”
You laughed between words, clutching your side. Fred nodded, recognizing he had been played.
“You got me, you got me. But you must mean this means war.”
You faux gasped, placing your hand on your chest sarcastically.
“Oh no, a battle with a man stuck in a hospital bed, I’m shaking in my boots.”
Fred full on laughed at that before groaning in pain and glaring lightly at you.
“Don’t make me laugh, my insides are still knitting back together!”
You smirked at him, checking the pocket watch to see that the healing was almost complete. You heard a ruckus outside Fred’s room and soon the door burst open, a frazzled fellow Healer sending you an apology with their eyes.
“The Weasley Family plus Harry Potter and Hermione Granger are here for F. Weasley.”
Your coworker said with an exhausted tone before pushing through the crowd back to their station. You smiled at the family as they piled in, answering Molly’s frantic questions and Arthur’s insistence his son was getting the best care. Fred’s siblings, plus Harry Potter and Hermione Granger, stood at his bedside, doting on him. You turned away, letting the family have a moment, organizing your tools and putting back the potion and pocket watch. When you turned back around, you saw George look at you and nudge his twin with waggling eyebrows. Fred turned and winked, causing your face to heat up as you held back a smile.
You joined in the conversation after a few moments, once more answering the questions and consoling the worried thoughts of Fred’s parents. After a few hours, visiting hours were over, and you gently excused the family from the room. You got Fred’s room set up for night, fluffing his pillow and blushing when he craned his neck so his face was close to yours. As you were getting ready to leave, you felt Fred’s finger brush against your wrist, lightly but effectively holding you back.
“You know, I’m not so fond of being blown up but I am really glad it brought me to meet you. When I get out of here, if you’re available, do you want to catch a movie? It’s a muggle thing my pop has been obsessed with recently, I’m just glad he got past his rubber duck phase becau-”
“Yes.”
You answered quickly, cutting off Fred’s uncharacteristic nervous rambling.
The two of you smiled softly at each other before you left the room, mentally compiling a list of quick healing spells.

Hello my dear!
May I request a 2012 Donnie x reader, but reader is Casey's twin sister? Like reader and Donnie are together and Casey's super protective
Have a lovely day/night
-🌻
Of course I can my darling 🌻! 💕
OVERPROTECTIVE
♡~~♡~~♡~~♡~~
Summary: After discovering that you're dating Donnie, Casey makes it his mission to 'scare' the purple masked terrapin.
Warnings: None!
Requested: 🌻
Female Reader!
.........................................
You winced as your younger sister yanked the comb through your hair once again. After finding out you were going on a date, the price for her silence was her getting to style your hair and pick your outfit.
"Are you done yet?" you whined, yelping when she roughly pulled on your hair.
"Nope!" She said. You could just hear her little gap toothed grin.
You sighed and slumped in your seat. You would like to be gone before Casey got home, mostly because you didn't want hin asking questions. He's always had a bit of a- uhm- protective streak.
And what with his already rival like relashonship with your boyfriend, you would really like to avoid any new conflict between the two. So it was best if he didn't know for now, and to your credit, you and Donnie were really good at keeping the whole 'We're dating.' thing a secret.
No one else knew with the exception of Master Splinter, but he was literally a ninja master, not much gets by him.
"Done!" Ella said proudly, handing you a mirror over your shoulder. You had to admit, it was better than you had expected, it actually looked kinda amazing.
"Thanks, now get out so I can change, I wanna leave before Casey gets home."
Ella nodded and skipped out of your room giggling about god knows what. After she left, you closed and locked the door, changing into the outfit she had left out for you.
You opened the door and Ella squealed in excitment, "You look so pretty, (Name)!"
You laughed, "Thanks, Ella. Alright, I'm out, if Dad or Casey ask where I went tell 'em I went to April's or somthing. Capeesh?"
"Capeesh!"
Ella gave you a big hug, then ran off to do something else, read probably. You knew she'd be fine on her own for a while since your dad would be home in about fifteen minutes and she was ten years old after all.
You made your way out of your apartment complex, walking down the ever darkening New York streets. You sent Donnie a quick text to let him know you were on your way to your arranged meeting place, and he replied with a thumbs up and a heart emoji.
You smiled, shaking your head at the simple reply.
You turned down a familar alley, using the worn fire escape to climb up to the rooftops, "Hey there handsome, you waitin' for somebody?" you say with a giggle once you reach the top, startling your boyfriend who was waiting for you.
Donnie spun to face you, relaxing when he saw it was you, "You scared me, (Name)!"
You laughed loudly, "You aren't very good at flirting, huh, Honey?"
Donnie chuckled, muttering, "You'd think you'd know that by now."
You walked over to him, placing a quick kiss on his cheek, further darkening his blush, "It's ok, I'm a big enough flirt for both of us pretty boy." you smiled at him teasingly.
Donnie rolled his eyes half-heartedly, clearing his throat, "So, uhm- I was thinking we could-" He was cut off by your ringing phone.
You pulled the device from your pocket, groaning when you saw the caller ID. It was Casey.
"Crap." you muttered.
Donnie snorted at your reaction, and you sent him a half-hearted glare before answering the phone, "Hello?"
"Hey there, (Nickname), where are you currently, like, at this exact moment?"
You gulped, "Uh, with, April."
"Try again, (Name)!" April's voice sounded from the phone
Double crap.
"Uhm-"
Casey cut you off, "Would you happen to be standing on a rooftop across from Mr. Murakami's shop with Donnie's arm wrapped around your waist? Or am I seeing dopple gangers."
Triple crap.
You and Donnie began to frantically scan the area, before you could even find your twin and April, a loud shout sounded from the building across the street, "That's my sister you brainiac punk!"
"Case', what the hell are you doing over there?" You shouted.
"Looking for you!" he replied,
"How did you even know I wasn't at home?"
"Ella told me!"
You gasped, "That little snitch." you muttered.
"I'm comin' over there!" Casey shouted, and you frantically waved your hands, "No you stay right there, Casey Jones!" you shouted.
"Well lugnuts." Donnie sighed.
You debated taking Donnie and booking it before Casey could get up there, but before you could tell Donnie your plan, Casey emerged from the fire escape.
"Alright, what's goin' on here?" He demanded, storming over to the pair of you and removing Donnie's arm from your waist.
You groaned in annoyance, "This is exactly why I didn't tell you, Casey. I knew you'd act like this."
"If it helps-"
"You shut up." Casey said, cutting Donnie off, "(Name), I don't care who you date, I really don't, but as your twin brother it's my job to make sure you don't get hurt!"
"Casey-"
"Hold on, I'm not done." Casey turned to face Donnie, "So, you listen up nerd, and you listen good. If you hurt my little sister in anyway-"
"Little?!"
"You are younger than me."
"Yeah, by like, 2 minutes!"
"Still younger."
You huffed, crossing your arms, "Whatever."
"Ahem, as I was saying. If you hurt her in anyway shape or form, you better expect Casey Jones to show up outside that nerd den of yours." Casey finished his little speech by poking Donnie's plastron, he then began to walk backwards towards the fire escape, where April was waiting and snickering at the interaction.
The whole time he was backing up, Casey was making an, "I'm watching you." gesture. He then proceded to trip over the edge of the building, and fall backwards onto the fire escape. He jumped up, made one last warning gesture, then he and April left.
You and Donnie looked at each other dumbfounded, "That's... not how I expected that to go..." you said, taking Donnie's hand.
"Me neither," He replied, pulling you closer "I genuinly thought he'd try to fight me. I would have won, obviously, but I digress."
The two of you began to lean in for a kiss, and you hummed, "I'd give him an a for effort, he was trying to intimidate a ninja afterall."
Donnie chuckled in response, and the two of you grew closer, faces only inches apart.
"Hey! No kissing!"
"Dang it, Casey!"

can you please write something for Tom where he's like sooo in love with the reader but also really in denial and a bit scared cause he's never been in love before/ felt like this? (I know this sounds mega kitschy)
i love your account so much, everything is so pretty on here!!
thank you my love, i hope i didnt disappoint c:
ᡣ𐭩 tom, a dummy in a denial
tom was your friend. your rock. you don’t remember how it happened, but as soon as the two of you met, sparks flew. not in the way that you think, god no! the two of you couldn’t ever imagine being anything other than friends. more than friends, right? well, so you think ..
as tom grabbed his car keys, he ushered bill to be at the doorstep in ten seconds or he would leave without him, “fuck! tom! i can’t find my rings..” with a scoff, tom rolled his eyes already beginning to open the front door, “just leave without them! we’re gonna be late.”
“what’s got you in a rush? it’s a goddamn house party..” bill skipped down the stairs fumbling to now put his shoes on. as tom ran his hand through his hair, he hesitates to respond, not really sure what DOES have him in a rush.
as bill waits for his older brother to respond, seeing as how he breaks out in a cold sweat he can’t help but realize now, letting out a small laugh, “oh..” “oh what?” “it’s cause you want to see y/n,” and tom can’t help but widen his eyes and so hard they might pop out of his eye sockets.
“what?? pshh, i don’t know what you’re talking about—i mean—me and y/n are friends, best friends!” bill pushes tom out the door as the two walk to tom’s new cadillac. “for someone who you consider a best friend, you’re so eager to see her.” tom sarcastically laughs at bill, “i am not!!” “yeah, lemme know when you’re done being in denial, tom, i’ve seen the way you look at her.”
upon arrival, both the kaulitz twins enter the house already booming with house music. loud voices and laughs were shared, dancing, engaging and talking, making out, drinking. but there you stood. standing there, solo cup in your hand, laughing with a couple of your girlfriends as you sip on the alcoholic drink.
you looked amazing, tom had to blink twice to truly comprehend it was you. what am i even saying—of course he knew it was you. you were no lesser than a diamond to his eyes. the way your dress hugged tightly around your curves, glossy lips and hair ever so shiny. you were his aphrodite.
“stop staring and let’s go talk to her!” bill exclaimed pulling tom by his arms, “what’re you doing?? stop!” “tom cut the bullshit right now before i slap you in the face—hey y/n! how are you??” he cuts himself midway as bill nagged at tom while pulling him to where you stood.
“bill! oh my god hi!! ‘m feeling good tonight, hi tom!” you wave at tom before pulling him into a hug, wrapping your arms around his body, not noticing at how he tensed up around your presence now. “hi y/n..” you tilted your head to the side, ‘hi y/n?’ what kind of a greeting was that?
you hold one of tom’s hands, running a thumb over the back of his hand. he swears his heart fell out of his ass as he choked on his spit but tried to conceal it, “you okay tom?” “yeah! perfectly fine! now where’s the alcohol??” he grabd a bottle immediately pouring himself a shot, downing it within the quick ten seconds of having poured it, fire trickling down his throat.
tom needs liquid courage. he’s never really realized that he’s felt a certain way for his best friend. she now makes him, nervous. like he needs to find the perfect words to say in order to put a smile on her face. as if he doesn’t already do that. but now, it’s different. he can’t fuck this up. he’s scared, alcohol will do the trick for sure!
“easy there tiger!” bill giggles as you look at his twin brother in confusion. bill can only shrug, as he walks off to go find georg and gustav who are already drunk off their minds dancing in the living room. you focus your attention back on tom who already seems like he’s had four more shots in the time that you only spent exchanging looks w bill.
with a gasp, you swiftly grab the bottle and shot glasses from tom and head towards the dance floor. you hold tom’s hands and give him a little spin. “seems like ya had fun with those shots eh?” “mmhm.. glad to see you y/n, been a while :),” and you perk up, smiling at tom who’s hip swayed in rhythm with yours.
wanting to spice things up a bit (with your bestfriend?) you hold tom’s waist, pressing it flush against yours. if it weren’t for the dim, flashing lights, you would see how red tom’s face is. and it’s not from the alcohol. he can’t help but open his mouth in shock, hiding his face in your neck.
“y/n..” “mmhm?” he whispers in your ears, tom now has his arms wrapped around your waist as you slowly danced with one another. arms engulfing his neck, you push it even further to your ear, almost sending tom into an orbit of emotion. but it seems as though the alcohol has caught up to him.
dizzy, he can only rock side to side now as the two of you stand. it’s now quiet between the two of you, with only music to fill in the silence. admittedly, tom speaks before he thinks as he mumbles a “god you are just so breathtaking tonight y/n..” well, that was a first, you immediately latch him off your body and hold his shoulders to get a good look at him.
his head is lolled down as it looks as if it’s being hung of his body. you can see a dopey smile plastered on his face as the rest of him is like putty within your hands, doing as it’s told while you simply hold him straight. oh, he’s fucking drunk, and he might puke. you remember the last time the two of you were out together he gets all giggly and loopy before needing to let it all out. the little details matter.
“oh no, we need to get some fresh air,” you hug his body against your side, wrapping his arm around your shoulder as you make your way towards the balcony. shoving through the crowd of people, you are met with bill, gustav and georg who stop you in your tracks. “y/n! where are you going??” “to get your brother some fresh air!” jokingly, georg screams a ‘seems like you care about him!’ and you scream back ‘i do!’ without hesitance.
a coo is heard from your side as you look down to tom who’s body is slumped against yours. opening the slide door, he whines “aww, you care about me?” “shut up tom,” and he dramatically pouts before holding himself on the railing of the balcony, taking in the fresh, cold air to somewhat rid of his nausea.
you lean on the railway, looking at your best friend whose movements are extremely sluggish and slow. you pat his back, following by rubbing circles on it, feeling the cotton of his black t-shirt which, made him look really good. his hair was tied back in a low bun, as his sunglasses hung off the collar of his shirt. how could such a simple outfit make someone look so good?
after a few moments of silence being exchanged between one another. tom finally backs off the railing to bring back up all the shots he drank without eating prior to it, puking it all into a plant pot for, let’s say, plant purposes! you wince at the noises but can only hope that plant is a plant the house owner neglects and doesn’t see the puke.
spitting out the remnants, tom immediately feels better. but he can’t bring himself to face you, not after embarrassing himself in front of the girl he found out to have liked since the beginning of time. you notice this, and soften a gaze at his back, muscles defined through the thin fabric. with a tap of his shoulder, he hesitantly turns to be met with you holding out a water bottle.
thanking you, he immediately twists open the cap to drink the water, downing almost half the bottle. as he almost finishes it, he places the bottle onto the ladder attached to the railing, now holding onto it again, leaning his head on it as he stares at you. you were looking through the sliding door glass admiring bill, georg and gustav dancing. looks like they’re having an amazing time!
“oh god, i can’t believe how much i adore you..” you jerk your head to look at tom so fast you swore you gave yourself whiplash, “what!?” “oh fuck—sorry—i don’t know what came over me.. pretend you didn’t hear that.” you mouth hangs open in disbelief, pretend you didn’t hear that!? what is he talking about??
you step closer to him as he pretends to look away into the stars of the night sky, “tom!! look at me and tell me what you said..” your expectant, you wanted to hear those words again. you couldn’t believe it, the best friend whom you’ve liked for so many years might reciprocate your feelings. you hold onto that hope as much as possible. as his eyes dart in many directions but yours, you shift your head quickly enough to always meet his gaze.
“mmm fine..! i said i adore you..” “why thank you, i adore you too..” wanting to make a little joke out of it, seeming as though you adore him just as a best friend and nothing more, “no, no not like that y/n. god i can’t believe it took me this many years to realize how i truly felt about you,” and he licks his lips, becoming dry with anxiety. you cross your arms, “and what is it that you feel about me?”
“well, for starts, i love you. i love you so much y/n that i couldn’t see myself with anyone but you. why it took me so long? i—i don’t know i think i was scared?? felt as if my whole life i was incapable of loving or even being loved. my whole life i’ve been through materialistic relationships, temporary relationships, relationships with a motive.. was scared you were gonna end up as one of those so i, didn’t take the risk.. ‘m hearts never skipped a beat before until you. until you, i’ve never felt so content with life, i want to be your boyfriend but you obviously don’t have to say yes we just can remain friends—”
“tom!!” you interrupted midway through his rambling, he just stops in his tracks, “you didn’t even ask how i felt! you only assumed i wouldn’t return the feeling,” and he bites his lips, goddamnittomyoustupidfuckingidiotyoushouldveletherspeak. leaning even further into the railway, he awaits your answer. nervous, an uncomfortable pit forming in his stomach expecting the worse. “oh! i um.. ha, sorry..”
you inhale a deep breath, exhaling as you clench your palms together, “you dummy, i love you too. i guess i’ve always adored you, a lot. it’s also hard for me to convey my feelings, dunno what it is, but hey! glad we got that out huh??” you giggle, smiling at tom, who has a cheeky grin plastered on his face. in a world full of complicated girls, you were simple. easygoing. it was as simple as that. he couldn’t be any more happier over the fact that the one for him considered him as her one. you immediately pull tom into a hug, who then awkwardly asks you to be his girlfriend, and of course, you said yes.
“i’m so into you, y/n.”
“i know!”
i dont have the knack to write fluff anymore .. im soo sorry anon T_T

No Caller ID
Your job at The Agency was simple. In fact, there was only one rule: Don’t lose track of your field agent. Unfortunately for you, Agent K is a difficult man to find.
warnings: agent!sakusa x handler!reader, international espionage, i was going for a james bond vibe, no graphic violence but there is a teeny bit of violence, hq! cameos that aren’t important to the story but i thought were fun to include, open ending i think, flirting (???), honestly freeform, i wrote this in 1 sitting lol, sfw, 1.8k words!
You’re on a date the first time he calls you.
The guy you’re out with is nice. Doesn’t interrupt you. Asks about your day. Laughs at all your jokes and pretends not to look down your shirt while the two of you eat. He works in IT, so you know he’s fairly well-off, too.
It’s too bad this is just to keep up appearances.
Your phone rings with no caller ID and you have to stop your eyes from bulging out of your head. In this line of work, it’s best to keep personal calls separate from ongoing projects. For organization reasons. For safety precautions.
It’s for this reason that you have two cell phones. The first is for private calls, to keep up with the life your current alibi would be living. The second phone is for The Agency.
And you’ve never received a call from your second phone before.
You excuse yourself from the table with a practiced smile, adjusting your clothing as you stand. Your date nods. Understanding, as expected. He didn’t notice that you took your purse with you. He must think you’re coming back.
Exiting the restaurant, you pick up the phone with a nervous hand, unsure of what to expect, “This is Pluto speaking.”
“Pluto? Who the fuck is that?” A man’s voice grunts, panting loudly and very obviously out of breath, “What happened to Rin?”
You clear your throat, “Rin has since left The Agency. I’m Pluto, his replacement.”
“That bastard. You’ve gotta be fucking kidding–” Sharp pops echo through the speaker. Possibly gunshots. The cursing that follows suggests that those were most likely gunshots. Everything is so loud.
“Agent K, if you’re requesting for backup, I can send over the twins–”
“Absolutely not. No backup, especially not from them.” Based on proximity, you can tell it’s K who fires next. Two quick rounds, followed by two dull thuds. Bullseye? “Everything is under control. Get me to Croatia before midnight tomorrow.”
The call ends.
The second time he calls you is to complain about the first time.
You defend yourself with all the aggression of a caged circus bear.
K quickly learns not to complain about your work.
Two months pass.
Your job at The Agency was simple.
Fortunately, there was only one rule: Don’t lose track of your field agent.
Unfortunately for you, Agent K is a difficult man to find.
“Pick up, pick up, pick up!” You scream into the phone. You’ve combed through the security feeds of every private business, traffic cam, and ATM machine, but still no sight of him.
The ringing stops, an easy voice floating through the phone, “Hello?”
“Why the fuck aren’t you in Buenos Aires?” You all but yell, “I’ve been searching for you for hours.” It’s silent on the other end of the receiver. You continue your verbal assault, “Are you even in Argentina? In South America at all?”
K snorts. “Where do you think I am?”
You’re furious, “How did you leave the airport without me knowing? I booked your tickets myself. I made the passport you’re using–”
“Don’t worry about it.” He cuts you off, “Do you really want to know where I am?”
His tone calms you, just long enough to answer, “Yes.”
“A baby shower.”
“A… baby shower?” You repeat dumbly.
“Well, I’m not physically at the baby shower, that would be a breach of contract. I’m sitting in an unmarked car, about 100 feet from the festivities. Watching my little sister open her gifts. She doesn’t even know I’m here.” He sighs, and it’s so different from anything else you’ve heard from him. “Nobody does.”
People who do what K does rarely ever have families. Alive, that is. You wonder how old he was when he left home, if his parents know what he does for a living. If they even know he’s alive.
Instead you ask, “Will you be having a niece or a nephew?”
He chuckles to himself, but it’s humorless. Empty. “That’s what I’m waiting to find out. I think the reveal is after they cut the cake. My sister is greedy enough to make everyone wait.”
You’re silent for a moment, at a genuine loss of words. The silence feels comfortable, and whether you’d like to admit it or not, you’ve gotten attached to Agent K. Fond, even. Just knowing he’s on the other end of the line, alive and breathing and not being shot at, gives you an enormous sense of relief.
You stare into the monitors ahead of you, at the sheer number of tabs you’ve opened, the energy you expended to make sure he’s safe.
“How did you get into this line of work?”
“Me?”
“Yes,” you can hear the sarcasm dripping from his voice, “You.”
Nobody has ever asked you that. Nobody is allowed to ask that, you think. “I had an internship the summer after I graduated. My boss at the time has some sort of connection to The Agency. She said I should apply and that she’d put in a good word. My interview was the next day, and I was officially hired by the end of the month.”
It’s silent for a beat, “You do realize you failed the test, right?”
“Excuse me?”
“You aren’t supposed to divulge any personal information to me or any other agents,” He quips, “Especially not any information regarding The Agency.”
“Well,” You start, “You aren’t supposed to run away from missions and lie to your handler about where you are!”
K laughs. An actual laugh. “Touche. Though I’m not running away from anything. This is simply… a brief layover.”
“Whatever. I’ve already booked you a flight from Hyogo to Buenos Aires.”
“You’re sharp, Pluto.” There’s pleasant surprise in his voice, and pride flares in your veins at having caught him off guard, “How’d you know I was in Japan?”
“Don’t worry about it.” You repeat his own words back to him, “Your flight leaves at 8:30PM, Japan Standard Time. Think you can make it by then?”
“Yes, ma’am.” K huffs, “Is that all?”
“Yeah,” you say, “And I’ll be sure not to include this ‘brief layover’ in my reports.”
“Thank you.” He says, and you can tell it’s genuine. For a moment, you feel appreciated, before he adds, “And from now on, please refrain from using fishing boats as a means of escape.”
“Give me enough of a heads up and I won’t have to.” You fight back a smile, recalling your first encounter, and the angry call you got 16 hours later, “But if you ever lie to me again about where you are, I’m leaving you stranded.” It’s a lie. In reality, if it came between you and him, you’re the expendable one.
“Deal.” He confirms, “Oh, and, Pluto?”
“Yes?”
“It seems like I’ll be having a niece.”
These days, your phone never stops ringing. Your second phone, that is.
“Where are you?” He preens through the phone. It’s the last question you’re expecting. You’re at a cocktail dinner for your job. The fake one. The one that The Agency placed you at to keep up appearances.
“Company dinner. Is there anything I can help you with?”
You’ve leaned over the balcony, nursing something with too much sugar and not enough alcohol. The venue is beautiful, probably some millionaire’s summer home, resting on a lavish hill and overlooking the ocean. The party blazes loudly behind you, a stark contrast to the stillness of the sea.
“Yeah. There is, actually.” He decides, “What are you wearing?”
“Excuse me?”
“Your clothes.” His voice is so smooth, sentences dancing off his tongue like a lullaby. “You’re wearing a purple dress, right? Say, is that silk?”
Your breath catches in your throat, your body suddenly alert at the implication of being watched, “Yes,” you find your voice again, making subtle movements to analyze your surroundings, “It was my mother’s.”
He hums, and part of you can hear a smirk in his voice, “Thought so.”
It bothers you that you’ve no clue what he looks like. How many times have you run into him without knowing? K was one of the most talented of this generation, able to adopt and shed identities as if they were clothing, able to blend into any crowd at any time, more dangerous than any traditional weapon. How many times has he been a friendly face on the street, a shadowy figure at the bar, and you simply had no idea?
“On your left.”
A man approaches you, dressed handsomely in a well-tailored suit. Shaggy orange hair falls into his bright eyes. His footsteps are quiet, practiced, holding a corsage in his right hand.
Without sparing a moment, he transfers the flowers from his grasp to yours before spinning on his heels and disappearing into the crowd once again. Your words die in the back of your throat.
The corsage is simple, but pretty. Purple petals to compliment your dress. Tied around it is a small gift box. You return your attention to the phone, “What’s this?”
“A thank you.” He says, “And an apology. And something else. Open it.”
You do. It’s a cartier bracelet, thousands of dollars worth of gold. You flip it over to find your name engraved into the metal. Your real name. You gasp.
“Congratulations on the promotion.” He says your name so differently than anyone has ever said it. You trace the letters in your palm, just faint enough that only you would notice. Just faint enough that you could keep it, and not have it jeopardize your position.
“Just doing my job.” You conveniently left out that the company celebration was for you. Well, you and the five other people who received promotions this quarter. Of course K would find out.
”Don’t get smart with me,” He groans, “But consider it an apology as well. I would have loved to be there with you tonight. You’re brilliant, and I’m lucky to have you on my team.”
You idly watch the yachts float by, some illuminated with neon lights, and some brightened with floodlights. If you squint, you can make out the fishing boat just barely kissing the shore. And the shadowy figure perched upon it.
“Don’t feel bad,” You hum, “Something tells me you aren’t too far off.”
“Goodnight, Pluto.”
“Goodnight, K.”
The call ends.
You clip the corsage around your wrist and return to the party.
i though this would be a fun little story! ok bye love as always, niko ♡

I See Hell in Your Eyes
Chapter Three
"But pack your heart, you might need it."
Josh Kiszka x Vampire!Reader
Authors Note: Listen, this chapter is a complete behemoth but I promise its worth it. I had so much fun writing this. I hope y’all love it just as much as I do. Shout out to @gretasmokerising @sinners-go-to-drink-the-wine and @losfacedevil for being complete angels and giving me amazing feedback and not letting the imposter syndrome take over!! Love y’all 🩸🖤🩸🖤🩸🖤
Word count: 9075
Warnings: Detailed depictions of blood, swearing, you know the drill.
You tried, and failed, to control how wide your eyes got as he said his name. On this side of the country, their last name was said in whispers, rumors, petty gossip even. Out west, they were feared. If you had friends head that way and disappear, you could bet money on them being picked off by a Kiszka. For Vampires especially, you had to be careful where you slept during the day. One of their usual moves was striking while the sun was out, and depending on which one got to you, determined how they killed you. Allegedly, one of them really, really liked the sound of Vampires sizzling in the sun, like an egg on a sidewalk. It was probably the most painful way to die. It was slow, it was brutal, and he wanted you to feel it. Sick bastard.
While you never truly heard what their first names were, you did hear plenty of stories of a set of twins who worked together up and down the western seaboard. As you locked eyes with Josh Kiszka himself, you hoped he wasn’t one of them. If one was here, the other one was probably close by, and you didn’t need to find out which one was the more trigger happy twin.
Josh tilted his chin, a smirk slowly replacing the snarl around his mouth. He hadn’t pulled the last name card in a while, but seeing the look on the Vampires face was worth it. The wide eyes, the little gasp she tried to hide, it always felt good to remind them of their place. Lectures from his father about how Vampires viewed themselves as Apex Predators and that it was their job as hunters to humble them. He was always taught to look at Vampires and other supernatural creatures as pests; populations they had to control for the betterment of the ecosystem. Little needed to be said now that his name was out there, he could see the understanding in your eyes, the worry starting to form between your brows.
You opened your mouth to speak, but he cut you off, hissing out your name, “Yeah…I know about you too. Allegedly turned in the 1690s, when we were still the colonies?” He raised his eyebrows at you, watching as your expression hardened at his words, “from what your file said, you kept a low profile for most of your ‘life’ but you ran into trouble during the ‘20s in…Atlantic City, was it? Yeah that Nest you were a part of at the time had a trail of bodies too.”
“It was prohibition…you’d be surprised at how desperate humans can be for a little booze.”
“Almost as desperate as Vampires are for blood?”
You rolled your eyes, “that's not a fair comparison and you know it. Humans don’t need alcohol to survive.”
He ignored your reply and continued, “...after the ‘20s you circled Europe for a few decades, spent a good chunk of time in Canada, but seemed to disappear off the map towards the late ‘90s until you popped up in this city a few years ago-”
“My favorite color is purple, was that in there?” You smiled, cutting him off. A lot of his “facts” about you were off, or flat out wrong. You would’ve laughed had it not been for the knife at your throat. He rolled his big eyes at you, and you couldn’t help but be amused at how he was almost cute when he was annoyed.
“Can we get back to the reason why I have you against this tree?”
“I just figured you had a thing for pushing girls up against trees.”
“Girls, maybe. Vampires? No.”
“A shame, you don’t know what you’re missing,” you teased. Josh twisted the blade against your throat once again, this time flattening the metal against your skin, searing into the flesh underneath it. “Ah! Ok ok, yes newbies being stupid,” you sucked in breath through your teeth, “hate to break it to you but we don’t exactly keep files on each other like you hunters do with us.”
“Yes but I know Vampires love bragging about their kills. They had bounties on me and my siblings' heads when we were children.” His eyes flickered at the memory of the Vampire that broke into their house and had lifted his twin up off the floor by his hair. The way the creature had sneered at the two of them, and practically salivated while it described taking them back to its Nest to feed off one while the other watched. That was the night he learned just how hated his family was, and the image of his brother trying to wriggle out of the Vampires grasp mid air haunted him for weeks.
As his eyes started to trail off, you could see he was deep in thought about something. The thousand-yard-stare was starting to creep over his face, and it made you pause. For a brief moment, you almost felt sorry for him. But your sympathy was limited when you factored in the knife at your throat. His fucked up childhood didn’t justify half of the shit he and his family had done.
In the silence, an annoying realization hit you. In order to get this asshole off your back you had to find whatever Vampire was leaving the alleged bodies all over the place. He wasn’t going to leave you alone until he had another suspect to harass and interrogate. It almost made your brain itch at the mere thought of working with a hunter of all things but if it got the job done then so be it. You could leave the city afterwards and never see him again. That was the plan.
You thought back to what you had said, about how newly turned Vampires are sloppier when it came to feeding. As you said, these things weren’t common talking points between Vampires. Bodies happened. It was part of death. But if someone had just turned someone and let them loose with zero guidance, that could turn into a problem quickly. The city you currently resided in was relatively quiet, creatures kept to themselves and the various truces between species were kept with little fuss. It wasn’t perfect all the time but the balance was a lot better here than in the bigger cities.
It dawned on you, “have you ever been to a Blood Den, Boy Scout?”
This snapped Josh out of his ruminations. A Blood Den? He recalled his grandfather had raided one a few decades ago. They were “public” places Vampires could feed on humans, and wipe their memories afterwards. Because of this they were hard to track down, especially in the bigger cities.
“No…not officially.”
“You’re in luck then! If there’s any place a bunch of Vampires are going to sit around and potentially talk about their killing sprees it would be there. Sometimes we get a little chatty after feeding. I can ask around while we’re there.” Your bright tone completely masked the gravity of what you just suggested.
“What and have me pretend to be a Vampire? They’d see through that instantly,” Josh countered.
“Exactly. You wouldn’t be pretending to be anything. You’d be my…human companion…for the evening.” You centered your gaze at him, arching an eyebrow as he took in your implication.
“No. Absolutely not. You are not getting a free meal off of me while you play detective.”
You tilted your head in annoyance, “Ugh, relax. I wouldn’t have to feed off of you at all. The place I’m talking about has private rooms for feedings that we can “excuse” ourselves to after I ask questions. The private rooms are soundproof for obvious reasons. No one will know we’re just sitting there waiting to leave. You just have to play along and try not to slap cuffs on people trying to enjoy their dinner.”
Josh chewed his lip at the thought, weighing his options. It could lead to the big break in his case he had been searching for, but the idea of this Vampire being in the driver's seat while he was undercover made his skin crawl. “And how do I know you’re not just leading me in there to get bled dry by you and your friends?”
“As fun as that sounds, if you go missing I don’t need the rest of your family showing up here and completely destroying the peace around here. I know your family's methods, and I’m in no hurry to be on the receiving end of them. The quicker we find out who's being sloppy, the quicker we can never see each other again. I’m not exactly going to enjoy babysitting you all night either.” You sighed, “and besides, Dens have protocols. If I take you there as my human, no one can lay a fang on you without my permission. So all you’ll have to do is sit there, look pretty, and let me do the talking.”
“Fine. Let's go and get this over with.”
You tutted at him, “Oh no we can’t go tonight. It's almost Blue Hour! We wouldn’t have time to get ready and the Den is probably nearly empty by now.”
“Get ready?”
“Oh Boy Scout, it's a classy place. You can’t just show up in khakis,” you said, giving a pointed look at his outfit. “If we show up dressed to the 9’s it’ll sell that you’re my human, even more.”
He huffed in annoyance, “Fine. Tomorrow night then.”
“Perfect. 1 AM? We can meet here in the park. Same tree? But not against it, it’ll ruin my hair.” You replied with a small smile.
At this, Josh finally released his grip on you, taking the knife away from your throat and slowly backed up a few feet. It was slightly jarring, you hadn’t realized how warm he had been until you felt the rush of cold from his absence.
“Ok. 1 AM. Don’t be late,” he said, resigning himself to your plan. As much as he didn’t want to, he’d have to trust you a little bit in order to get anything done.
“Wouldn’t dream of it,” you leaned off of the tree and started to walk away, before throwing a look back over your shoulder at him, “Wear something black.”
At this you sped off, leaving him alone in the park. He watched you leave, trying to process your entire exchange. As he turned to go home, he could feel the adrenaline start to pump through his system at the thought of being in the literal lions den with you.
~!~
Your stiletto heels clicked against the sidewalk as you made your way to the spot in the park you agreed to meet Josh. Your dress was simple: a black bodycon number with an asymmetrical hem that went from the top of your knee on one leg to mid thigh on the other. You always had a good night when wearing that dress, and you hoped the luck would continue as you broke several protocols by bringing in an undercover vampire hunter into a Blood Den. The price of being caught doing was almost unknown, as you couldn’t recall this happening before. Your kind was very protective about their “public” places to exist. Bringing humans back to any Nest got old, and feeding in darkened alleys could be risky. It was nice to be able to let your shoulders down in a Den and have a “normal” evening.
Rounding the corner, you found your “date” for the evening standing under a street lamp. He was a good boy, he listened when you told him to wear something black. He looked very proper in the all black suit he was wearing, the color contrasting beautifully against his skin. He had his phone in his hand, and he was tapping a message onto the surface, before shutting it off and slipping it into his pocket. He hadn’t noticed you coming towards him yet, and for once you got to observe him in the wild. The light from the street lamp was cascading down his figure and you noticed he had reshaven down the sides of his head, making the skin visible and fresh looking. He looked beautiful, and the amount of effort he had put into his appearance tonight pleased you greatly. Who knew hunters had the time for a proper skincare routine? You could tell he was deep in thought, his eyes were fixed on the trees across the path from him. The wheels were churning in his head and you almost smiled at the way his brows slowly knitted together. You caught yourself wondering what he was thinking about, or if he was nervous about tonight. He would be in good company, as you were nervous as hell too. He was still such a wildcard but you hoped he could use all the self control he had to play along like you needed him to.
Your heels crunched on a stray leaf, which made Josh look up and take you in. Unblinking he looked you up and down as you approached. His own breath betrayed him by getting caught in his throat. He wasn’t supposed to look at you and think anything positive, he was raised to view any Vampires attempt at vanity to be another lure for their prey, or at best, a warning. His father always compared it to how the most poisonous frogs had the prettiest colors. And yet, there you were, slinking towards him with that ever present smirk on your face. A smirk that had invaded his dreams, causing him to toss and turn for most of the night before. Blurry images of you flashed before him in his mind's eye: your eyes narrowed at him, the surprising warmth of your skin beneath his hands, your breath on his face, and finally your mouth twisted in a smile, giving him a perfect view of your sharp teeth. If he could have tried his brain for treason, he would.
Most of the time, when a Vampire was in his dreams, it was normally scenarios where he’d have to save his siblings, or himself. They always ended the same, with the Vampire on top of him with a stake shoved into its chest. He could always see the color drain from the creatures’ face mere inches from his own, feeling the death rattle leave its lips and caress his face. It was his default setting, being the hero in his own stories. He was reliable that way, and he was raised to know it. His father had always pulled him aside to explain his responsibilities, and he knew his younger siblings weren’t subject to the same pep talks.
At last, the two of you made eye contact, and you slowed your walk to a stop. Like the hunter before you, your brain betrayed you with quiet thoughts of what this night would be like in another life. If you were both human? If you were both Vampires? If you were anything else? You knew this wasn’t a real ‘date’. To be honest, you hadn’t been on a proper date in years, maybe even a decade. You were ok with being alone. Sure, you had your flings here or there, but anything beyond that had you running. Romantic entanglements weren’t the most ideal in your world. Plus, life was too long to be attached to someone like that. You had to focus. This was a means to an end. A way to get this obsessive little shit to focus on some other Vampire, and you can go back to your mostly drama-free life. He would fade into your memories of other hunters you’ve encountered over the decades, lost in a sea of faces you can sort of recall. You’d hope you’d remember his eyes at least…or the gap between his teeth, or that deep dimple on his left cheek, or even the scar-
“You clean up nice...for a Vampire.”
You blinked at him, immediately snapped back to reality and your default amused expression slipped on your face. “And you own something other than khakis…I like it,” you said mirroring how he looked you up and down.
Josh rolled his eyes at you as he left the warm glow of the street light and made his way to you. “So where are you taking me?”
You smiled even wider at him, “oh just one of my favorite places in this city. You’re going to love it!” He winced with a skeptical look on his face, “It won’t be that bad! Just listen to everything I say and keep your mouth shut, got it?
“You don’t know me very well-”
“-and honestly I’m ok with that but I do know a hunter like you won’t be stupid enough to run his mouth around a bunch of Vampires who would love to use him as a cute little juice box.” You wanted to desperately boop his nose at the end of that but held back. As annoying as he was, you loved messing with him.
But your smile faded slightly, and you faced him fully, “there is one thing I need to make clear before we go.”
“...and that would be?”
“You have to promise me you won’t come back and raid the place like your family is known to do. I know I can’t Persuade you to forget like every other human that goes there, so you have to give me your word you won’t leak the location.”
Josh almost looked offended by your words, but then he realized that in any other situation that's exactly what he would have done. He could almost feel his fingers itching to reach for his phone to text Jake location details, something he had done many times in the past when they scouted out Nests in other cities. Agreeing to your terms would go against everything he was taught, every natural instinct he had, but if he wanted his answers, he’d have to say yes.
“Fine. But I also have one condition.”
“Name it,” you said, keeping your gaze steady.
“No feeding on me when we get there, even if you get hungry or want to blend in better with your friends.”
Your smile returned to your face, “like I said last night, I didn’t plan on doing that anyway. I’m just going to tell anyone who asks that I already fed before we got there, and that we just wanted to come by and relax. People do that all the time! You just get to sit there and look pretty.” This time you didn’t fight it and you reached out and slid your finger down the adorable bump in his nose and lightly booped the end, causing his brows to furrow instantly as he pushed your hand away.
“Ok, ok, can we go now?”
Rolling your eyes, you turned down the path in the direction of the Den, “Ugh fine, but please lighten up a little before we get there. It's only a few blocks away.”
The two of you walked down the path, eventually making it out of the park and into the downtown streets. This part of town was relatively quiet, especially at this time of night. It wasn’t downtown where all the human clubs were, or where all the bars were clustered together and the streets were full of people. No, this area housed the local Mom and Pop stores, devoid of chain businesses and tourist traps. It was very quaint, and unsuspecting.
Neither of you spoke as you walked down the sidewalk. Beyond your petty banter, you found it hard to make small talk with a hunter. What was there to say? So instead you just observed him out of the corner of your eye. His jaw remained clenched for most of the walk, hands in his pockets with his eyes set firmly ahead of him. Up close you could see a tiny red mark above his ear where he had probably nipped himself with the clippers he used to shave down the sides of his head. The mental image of him standing in front of the mirror, concentrating hard on getting both sides even almost had you stumble in your heels. Shaking your head slightly, you pressed onward, glad you were almost to the Den.
Beside you, Josh was observing you just as much. He kept it subtle, as he was taught. He could assess a situation purely out of his peripheral vision, and this skill was only heightened when he had Jake with him. He listened to the way your heels clicked in a confident rhythm on the sidewalk, and how you never looked down at your feet or the ground once. He noticed how even with a neutral expression on your face, the corners of your lips were upturned into a slight smile, as if you walked around with an inside joke with yourself. Or how your eyes shined constantly, the wheels in your head were always turning, and you didn’t hide it. He caught himself wondering what you thought about, what made you tick, what did you do with the centuries worth of memories, what were those memories, who did you have memories with-
“We’re here.”
Josh snapped out of his thoughts, and looked up at the building you had stopped in front of. The fluorescent, “Lakeside Rx” sign illuminated the sidewalk, with a smaller sign underneath detailing, “Open 24/7”. A pharmacy? What the hell?
“Umm…I don’t think-”
“Follow my lead, ok?” You looked him in the eyes, giving him a look to assure him you knew what you were doing. “Once I open the door, you’re my Human. You do not speak unless spoken to or prompted by me. Just listen and observe. Any Vampires you interact with will probably assume you’ve been Persuaded to be there and won’t remember anything once we leave. Its standard protocol. Since you…clearly, can’t be Persuaded by me,” you resisted the urge to roll your eyes at the memory, whereas Josh resisted the urge to smirk at the thought, “you’re going to have to play along and pretend you are. I know you don’t want to, but for this you’ll have to trust me.”
Josh sighed and nodded his head, instinctively he didn’t want to put this much trust in you, but something deep down made him feel uncharacteristically calm about the situation. Maybe it was the way you were looking at him, or the warmth of your hand as you placed it on his arm in reassurance, or maybe it was because you were the first Vampire he’d ever met that seemed motivated by something other than insatiable hunger and blood lust? He couldn’t pin it down but he did as you said and dutifully opened the door for you like a gentleman and followed you inside.
The overhead lights of the pharmacy flickered slightly as you made your way through the aisles. Everything looked normal and well stocked, not even a layer of dust on the shelves or various products around the store. This confused Josh even more as he followed you to the back of the store, where the prescription drop off/pick up desk was located. Even that looked completely normal, even with the singular employee he had seen throughout the entire establishment looking through prescription bins with her back to the two of you.
This was your time to shine, and you could hardly contain yourself at this point. You had seen the complete confusion on the hunters face and you wanted to laugh but you had to keep up your ruse. He really had no idea. There were so many things that humans weren’t privy to. That amount of blissful ignorance was almost enviable.
You confidently stepped up to the counter, and tapped the bell stationed on the desk. At the shrill sound, the pharmacist snapped her head up and turned around, giving you a warm smile as she walked up to the counter.
“Hello, what can I help you with,” she greeted in her best customer service voice.
You smiled, knowing your next line, “I believe I have a prescription ready for pick up?”
The pharmacist tilted her head and placed her hands delicately on the edge of the counter, “can I get your date of birth?”
You smiled and nodded, “of course.”
“Alright, you can enter it here…” she gestured at a number pad sitting next to the bell.
With zero hesitation your hand flew to the number pad and punched in your actual birth date, year of 1673 and all, pinky all but slamming the enter button as you finished.
The pharmacist turned to the computer to her right and smiled at the information you submitted, “excellent, you can pick it up at the back counter.”
“Thank you so much,” you replied with a matching smile before turning on your heel and heading for the hallway to the left of the pharmacy window.
Josh was so mesmerized by the interaction that he almost forgot his cue to follow you down the hall but quickly recovered and took long strides to catch up to you. He had so many questions running through his head but knew he couldn’t ask you anything right now. The two of you passed a couple doors for some bathrooms, along with a couple of water fountains, which made Josh even more confused as to what “the back counter” meant but he followed you along, the only sound being the clicking of your heels echoing throughout the hallway.
There was a door at the very end of the hallway, which Josh figured was your destination due to where you were headed but you instead stopped in front of another plain gray door to the right, just before the end of the hallway. There was no signage or even a window on the door, just chipped paint and a worn out brass doorknob.
You swiveled your head in the hunters direction, smirking, “wanna see a real party?”
Josh opened his mouth to speak, a little unsure if he was supposed to answer, when a loud clicking sound was heard from the other side of the door. You reached out and twisted the handle, pulling the door open to reveal a darkly lit hallway lined with ornate vintage wall sconces, the walls themselves decorated in a red and black wallpaper in a damask pattern. Josh nearly kicked himself for not figuring it out. Of course they’d have a speakeasy-style entrance to their Blood Dens. He started to file away this information in his head, but then remembered the deal he made with you outside. He’d have to keep this secret, even from Jake.
You stepped into the hallway, allowing Josh to follow behind as the door shut behind the two of you. To be honest, you had left the human world as soon as you stepped into that “pharmacy” in the front of the building, but now that the door to the “back counter” was shut, you were completely immersed in Vampire territory. This was your world, and you felt your shoulders relax the further you walked. The hallway took a sharp left turn and before you was a set of stairs descending down, the sconces continued to light the way.
Just before you stepped off the landing to begin your descent, you gave him one last look before softly slipping your hand into his. He was your Human now, and as such you had to show it as much as possible. Granted, most Human Companions in Dens weren’t romantically involved with the Vampire that brought them there, but a lot of them were, and 9 times out of 10 if you presented that way you were mostly left alone. If you weren’t, it was common to “share” humans throughout the night. The Vampire equivalent of a blunt rotation, or sharing food off of your plate. You had partaken in said practice more times than you could count, but not tonight. Josh was off limits, not only because of the deal you made with him but because…well he couldn’t be Persuaded to forget any of it, and it would be too risky! Yes, that was it.
He looked down at your hand slipping into his, and he didn’t fight the grip you had on him. Once again, he was surprised at how warm you were, and how soft your skin was. While you had your classic smirk on your face, the slight tremor in your fingers told a different story. It didn’t take his impeccable observational skills to understand you were nervous. It hit him just then that you were basically committing an act of high treason by consciously bringing him with you tonight. Not only because he was a hunter, but he was a Kiszka on top of that. One wrong move and both of their heads could easily become trophies -and warnings- to Vampires and hunters alike. Keeping that in mind, he gently gave your hand a squeeze as he followed you down the stairs, matching your grip with his. You were doing this, together.
The stairs turned and twisted, taking you at least two more levels down. As you descended, music met your ears. It wasn’t the strong bass you’d expect at a typical club, but every Blood Den was different. This particular Den leaned into “the old world” aesthetic that a lot of their patrons were nostalgic for. Classical music, a mix of candlelight and gas lamps, antique furniture, this was where you could leave the modern world behind and fully relax among other Vampires.
As you finally reached the bottom of the stairs, the familiar atmosphere greeted you. You were now in the main “chamber” of the Den, where most people gathered during the night. On the right hand side of the room was a traditional “bar” where one could sit and get a blood-infused drink if one was alone.
Humans didn’t even know what they were missing with Vampire cocktails. Instead of human liquor being the main ingredient, here it was blood. Vampires were always aware of different blood types among their prey, and there were centuries old descriptions and books of different blood profiles based on location, age, and overall health of human subjects. But it wasn’t until humans cracked the code to blood typing in 1901 that the science of it really took off. It was similar to how humans classified different types of wine. The thought of an A-Negative Manhattan had your mouth watering, you needed to take the edge off and calm your nerves.
Throughout the room there were multiple antique chaise lounges and matching couches. Vampires and their human companions were scattered amongst them, some in groups of four or five and some just one on one. Each group was in various stages of feeding. Directly in front of you and Josh was a couple where the female vampire was straddling the male human, fangs firmly planted on his neck while she fed. The man had his head thrown back in ecstasy, smiling softly while his hands gripping her thighs. Josh wanted to be disgusted but knew better than to let it show on his face. He stared at the couple curiously, was…was the human enjoying that? Is that possible? He had rescued plenty of humans in his time as a hunter and they never seemed happy to be in the clutches of a Vampire. Most of them were scared shitless, and grateful to be free of their tormentors. This was entirely new to him.
The human let out a moan and the Vampire chuckled against his throat, inadvertently spilling some blood down his neck and into his shirt. Josh hadn’t realized his mouth had been hanging open until he felt the tip of your finger push his chin up to close it.
“You’re staring…,” you whispered into his ear.
Dumbfounded, Josh turned to you with wide eyes and opened his mouth to speak but you squeezed his hand again, letting him know he didn’t have to explain himself. It was so amusing to see him react that way, like an Amish kid seeing a laptop for the first time.
“Let’s go find a seat,” you led him over to an empty corner booth, sliding around to the middle so the two of you could get a good vantage point to the room. The table was isolated enough to allow for quiet conversation, and Josh wanted to use this precious time to ask at least a few questions, but before he could get a word out a male server appeared at the table, focusing entirely on you. Now it was his turn to slip into character. He turned to you and gazed at you with the best heart eyes he could muster, even going so far as to sliding closer to you, completely invading your personal space.
“Can I get you started on a drink this evening?”
You smiled and licked your teeth before answering, “an A-Negative Manhattan would be amazing.”
The server threw a sideways glance at Josh, who was blinking slowly at you, resting his chin on his hand. You respected how hard he was committing to the bit. “Anything for…?”
“Oh no he’s fine,” you turned to look at him, he was so close you could feel the heat of his cheek next to yours, “...maybe some water,” you said firmly, hoping he’d get the hint to dial it back a little.
The server raised his eyebrows in judgment, humans were so fucking weird. “Right…I’ll be right back with those.”
As the server scurried off to the bar, Josh continued to stare at you. He was even closer than when you were walking down the street together. The last time he was this close to you was when he had you against that tree in the park, and he was noticing details he hadn’t before. Were your eyelashes always that long, or was it your mascara? He fully took in the profile of your nose and found himself admiring how perfect it looked with the rest of your face.
You scooted away from him just far enough to regain some space. Though you found yourself slightly disappointed you could no longer feel his breath fan down over your neck and bare shoulder.
“Easy, Boy Scout.”
“What? You said I had to sell it.”
“Yeah but don’t overdo it, we can’t have anyone get suspicious,” you warned.
Josh gave a sweeping glance at the rest of the room, noting the various states the humans in the room were in. If their eyes weren’t closed in pleasure from being fed on, they were gazing adoringly at their Vampire partners, as if waiting to be bitten again. “I don’t know, I think I was blending in just fine…”
You rolled your eyes because he was right. But still, you thought spitefully, you didn’t want to give him the satisfaction of knowing that. “All I’m saying is, less is more because I don’t want anyone to start asking questions while we are trying to ask questions, got it?”
“Fine,” he relented before going quiet for a few seconds. A few very short seconds before he whispered, “do…do humans really enjoy being bitten?”
You briefly considered messing with him further but decided to give him a straight answer for once, “some do. It honestly depends. I’ve fed on people who just stood there and took it, but I’ve also had a few who got really into it. Every once and awhile I can get an “arrangement” if you will where I can regularly feed on the same human, mainly out of convenience.”
Josh felt a pang of jealousy course through his system that he did not expect.
“...but the problem with arrangements like that is they often become really messy and I just don’t have the time for the fallout. I haven’t had a “regular” in years.”
Before he could reply the server from earlier appeared again at the table gently placing both glasses down. Josh used your distraction as you thanked the server to let himself exhale the sigh of relief at your confirmation you didn’t have any current “regular” humans. Why the fuck was he even thinking about that? Get it to-fucking-gether, Kiszka, he chastized himself. He glanced down at your drink, it looked relatively normal, but the obvious dark red hue reminded him that the whiskey it contained was accompanied by blood.
As if you could sense his question, you informed him, “A-Negative pairs really well with whiskey. Robust but not overpowering, gives you a great buzz. It's a shame you can’t find that out for yourself with your…humanity and all.”
Josh gave you a flat look, “I like my humanity just fine.”
“Suit yourself…though a hunter turned Vampire would be hilariously ironic.”
No it wouldn’t, Josh thought darkly. That was a train of thought he did not want to entertain. The consequences of that…no. Being turned was something his father refused to speak to any of the kids about. The emphasis was always on destroying whatever Vampire you had in front of you before that was even a potential thought. He did have a memory however of overhearing his parents talk about a raid his father had conducted. He wasn’t supposed to hear it, he had just snuck downstairs for a snack out of the kitchen when he walked by his fathers study and heard the gruesome details. Just before his father had killed the leader of the Nest, the Vampire had taunted him with the possibility, using his younger brother Sam as the example but what made it more depraved was that Sam had just turned 4.
“Oh my god, Monica!” his thoughts were thankfully interrupted by you cheerfully calling out to a woman that was passing by the table.
“Hello!? How long has it been, 7 years?!” Monica, the tall, willowy Vampire with chestnut hair nearly shrieked your name as she threw herself into the booth to give you a hug. She had a man with her, but from what Josh could see he was also a Vampire, but there was something off about him.
“Bitch, I told you to call me after you came back from Italy,” you squealed and giggled into her hair.
“I know, I know! But I was just too distracted by this one,” Monica beamed and turned to pinched the cheek of the man who stiffly sat beside her.
“Who is this, then?” You questioned as you toyed with the metal skewer the cherry garnish of your drink sat.
“This is Ethan…,” she gushed, “I met him while in Italy, actually! He was a human companion to a friend of mine at the time and we were all out to dinner together and we just hit it off! Eventually he ended up becoming my human companion for an entire summer but I just realized…I couldn’t let him go.” Monica leaned towards you like she wanted to tell you a secret, “I ended up turning him last fall,” oh, it was a secret all right. Turning someone wasn’t a taboo by any means, but like you had told Josh the night before, your species was very selective about the process. Turning your regular snack wasn’t unheard of but…it wasn’t the classiest thing either.
But you used this to your advantage, “So he’s only about a year old? How has the adjustment been?”
“He’s been wonderful, haven’t you sweetie?” Ethan nodded with a tight-lipped smile.
“We’re still working on the cravings and the self control but we haven’t had an incident in a few months now.” Monica explained while Ethans eyes were trained on Josh specifically, and you felt how tense Josh got next to you because of it. You kept your attention on Monica while she prattled about how being a Maker was going for her and slowly slipped your hand under the table and firmly gripped your hunters knee. You gave it a good squeeze, signaling that you also didn’t like how Ethan was staring at him. “...but enough about me, who is this?” Monica gave a pointed look at Josh.
“Oh this is my human companion tonight…isn’t he pretty?” You looked over your shoulder at Josh, flashing your teeth in a smile.
“Oh he’s very pretty…where did you find him?”
You chuckled, “would you believe it I found him near a dumpster?”
Monica let out an obnoxious laugh, “oh my god how random! Well, I hope you keep this one around, he’s too cute.”
The music playing over the speakers abruptly stopped, and coming out of one of the side doors was a man who walked over to the piano in the corner, dramatically dusting off the bench before sitting down and starting to play a soft melody. Both you and Monica jumped at the sight, knowing what it meant. Your friend immediately started pushing her boyfriend out of the booth, looking pale and skittish. “Well it was lovely seeing you tonight! I’ll definitely call you later!” She gave you a weak wave while she grabbed Ethans hand and scurried off to one of the doors along the back wall, where the private feeding rooms were.
Josh turned to you confused because what the fuck was that all about, but he answered his own question when he saw…him. Weaving his way around the lounges and tables, was a Vampire that was easily 6’5”, dark hair and olive skin, his presence was massive. Every Vampire, even the ones mid-feed would look up at him as he passed.
Dimitris Nikolou. He was the owner of this Blood Den. He was at least 200 years older than you, but you suspected it was a lot more than that. You had known him very well over the years, it was his Nest you turned to when you were caught in the Atlantic City raid in the 20s, and he had accepted you with open arms, in exchange for your loyalty. You didn’t serve him, but should any rival Nests decide to start shit, you knew which side you had to take. He and a blonde, statuesque woman made their way over to your table, Dimitris’ eyes lighting up when he not only recognized you, but when he saw Josh.
“It has been far too long since I’ve seen you here,” he announced before sliding into the booth…behind Josh. His human companion slid in next to you, effectively trapping you and Josh in the middle of the corner.
“Dimitris, lovely as always,” you greet with a smile.
“Oh Darling, after all these years it's just Dimitri to you, you know that,” he replied fondly. He turns to give a proper look at Josh, more specifically, his jugular, “Now…who is this lovely creature you’ve brought with you?”
You squeezed Joshs knee once again, this time for your own reassurance, and to funnel your nerves to anywhere else but your face. “This is my human companion for the evening,” you said politely.
“What a catch…such striking eyes.” You hated the way Dimitris’ eyes were raking all over Josh, but you couldn’t do anything about it. “Does this human companion have a name?”
You felt your throat start to close, there was no way you could even give him his first name only, that was too risky. You had to play it off, “I think his name was…William…I found him outside of a restaurant and decided to bring him here.” You could see the wheels turning in Dimitris’ head and your grip on Josh tightened.
He turned back to Josh, “Well William what are we going to do with you?” Once again he was staring at Joshs neck, “I suppose a little taste of him won’t hurt, would it?”
You interjected almost too fast, “No no, he’s mine for the evening, I quite like this one.”
“Of course he is but he just looks so delicious, we’ve always shared haven’t we, darling?” He gave a look to the woman next to you, who immediately extended her wrist underneath your face. “Oh, ignore my horrible manners, this is Yvonne. I found her while scouting a new Den location in Chicago. She’s A-Negative as well, that's your favorite if I recall?” His eyes sparkle at you, triggering the memories of the bodies you shared the last time you occupied one of his Nests.
The thing about rules is that they only work if everyone plays along with them. Vampires like Dimitris played by their own rules, and were prone to rip the proverbial rug out from under you at a moment's notice just to make a point.
“So what do you say? A companion for a companion?”
There was no way out of this, and if you could have grabbed Josh by the collar of his shirt and drug him out of there, you would have. Instead, you’re both trapped in a booth with someone who could destroy you both with barely a flick of the wrist.
Josh has been politely silent this entire time, keeping his eyes focused on you. He wasn’t sure if the worst part about this was the fact he was about to be fed on for the first time in his life, or if it was because he was about to be fed on by someone other than you. He felt a strong hand coil around his neck and gently tilt his head to the side, his eyes never left yours. He watched as you weakly grasped Yvonnes wrist, bringing it to your mouth. Your fangs descended from your gums as you bit into her skin, and before he could even register his own thoughts on that, he felt similar fangs pierce the skin of his neck. His ears instantly started ringing, the sensation burning a lot more than he expected it to. He quickly realized that the actual action of having your blood sucked out of you wasn’t what hurt, but the entry wounds made by the fangs, which still burned. Having your blood suddenly start flowing in the wrong direction was…different. His body felt heavier yet he was beginning to get light headed at the same time.
Your eyes were locked onto Josh and Dimitri, distracted to the point where you were barely feeding off of Yvonne. Slowly, you detached from her wrist and placed it on the table, which visibly disappointed Yvonne, who was enjoying the whole thing. Your hand inched forward under the table, desperate to make contact at least with Joshs hand that was limply lying between the two of you. After a few agonizing seconds your pinky brushed against his, and you tried to put every emotion you could into that action, to let him know you were still here. His eyes were starting to droop, a sign that Dimitri was nearing the threshold of too much at one time for a human.
“Dimitri!” You yelped almost too loud.
Dimitri popped up off of Joshs neck in surprise, but after looking at Josh himself he saw the state he was in, “I do apologize…his blood is very…different than what I’m used to. It's got almost this…spice to it? It's almost familiar to me but I can’t quite place it. ” He grabbed a handkerchief out of his coat pocket and dabbed his mouth before nicking his finger to heal up the neck wound with his own blood. Given his age and experience, there was hardly any mess on Josh to clean up, and what little there was he wiped away with his handkerchief before handing it to Yvonne to mop up her wrist.
“He is…very special,” you agreed, inching even closer to Josh who was starting to slump against the booth wall. “I really hate to cut this short but I reserved one of the private rooms for tonight and I’d really like to take him there now.”
Dimitri licked his lips and nodded, suddenly willing to play by the rules now, “I do remember seeing your name on the books for tonight! Right, well we’ll get out of your way, darling. It was lovely seeing you again. Don’t be a stranger, you know you’re always welcome here.”
“Thank you…Dimitri.”
“Always, darling.”
With that Dimitri and Yvonne slithered out of the booth, finally leaving you and Josh alone. You couldn't bring yourself to move until you saw the pair settle down on a couch next to another couple, seemingly about to repeat the process with them. This was your chance, and you quickly grabbed Joshs hand and hauled him out of the booth. He was weak, and he needed food to replenish what he just lost. Thankfully he could still walk and you were able to make your way to the back wall where the doors to the private rooms were. The door Monica and Ethan had entered still had its “occupied” light on above the frame, but the door on the far side was open and waiting. Turning on your heel you beelined for that door, shutting it behind you and clicking the lock before pushing Josh himself against the back of the door, your forearm barred across his chest, anchoring him to the wood. You had wanted a chance to reverse the roles and shove him against something like he had done to you twice, but you hated how it happened tonight.
“That was so fucking stupid…,” you gritted out through your teeth, frustrated not at Josh for once, but at yourself.
“It's ok..” Josh finally spoke, his voice softer than you had ever heard it.
“No, it's not ok. If I hadn’t stopped him-”
“But you did…that's what matters.”
You met his eyes, those big brown eyes, and for the first time in a long time you felt your own well up. You moved your arm from his chest and cradled his face in your hands. His eyes were still droopy, but they were fixed on you.
“You need to eat something…,” you whipped your head around the room to find the mini fridge they always stocked with food for the humans to eat after feeding. It was a small courtesy to prevent any liability issues. Taking his hand, you lead him over to the antique couch in the middle of the room, gently sitting him down before crouching down in front of the mini fridge, grabbing a bottle of orange juice and a bag of chips. You shoved both items into his hands, not caring if the combination didn’t taste good. The faster you got him well enough to walk so you could get out of there, the better. Josh ripped open the bag of chips and unscrewed the top of the orange juice, wincing at the flavor combo but eating it anyway. As he worked his way through snacks you sat next to him, staring at him to make sure he was eating it all.
After a few minutes of silence, you finally said, “I am…so fucking sorry Josh. I thought he was still in Chicago, I didn’t know he was going to be here and I definitely didn’t know he was going to do that. I know that was your one deal breaker tonight and if you end up giving the location to your brothers I underst-”
“I won’t go back on our deal,” he cut you off, voice sounding a little stronger than before.
“But you said-”
“The deal was you were not to feed on me, and you didn’t. That creep doing it was an unforeseen circumstance, but at the very least you stopped him before anything happened. You could’ve let him finish me off and got rid of me so easily, but you didn’t. You got me back here and made me eat something,” he downed the remaining orange juice, “I might not know all the ins and outs of your world, but I do know the risk you took by bringing me here, and it won’t be forgotten.”
“I just-”
“No, now we get out of here and think of our next move. Your friend with the newbie? We need to talk about that. He was two seconds from launching himself across the table had Count Chocula not made his grand entrance.” There it was, the humor that let you know he was feeling better. His face wasn’t as pale as it was, and while he still needed time to recover, he was well on his way. “I don’t think she was telling the whole truth about there not being any ‘incidents’ recently.”
You nodded, agreeing with him, “can you walk?”
“Yeah I think I’m ok.”
“The exit is through that door,” you pointed at the solid black door in the corner, “it leads to a set of stairs to take us back to street level.”
Josh tested his legs and stood up slowly, you quickly helped him all the way up and stood in front of him, making sure he didn’t fall back. A few deep breaths later, he nodded at you and the both of you exited through the black door. The stairs to the street were at the end of the hallway, and as you started to ascend a new panic ripped through you. On the second landing, the faint early morning glow of sunlight was creeping down the stairs. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. Shit. You couldn’t believe that much time had passed down there. Another stupid move on your part. Josh felt you retreat down a few steps, before looking ahead and seeing what you were backing away from. Without hesitation, he ripped off his suit jacket and draped it over you.
“My place isn’t very far, we can get there quickly if we’re careful.”
You stood there, stunned by his actions, just like how you could’ve easily gotten rid of him in the Den with Dimitri, Josh could’ve led you to your very death with little effort, but he didn’t.
“Ok…” Securing his jacket over your head and arms, you restarted your ascent up the stairs, hoping he was true to his word in his place not being very far.
“Come on…I’ve got you…” was all he said as he led you up to the street, and into the sunlight.
To be continued…

Song of the Heart: Dante X Anxious G/N Reader
SUMMARY: You work at the DMC with everyone but are deathly shy around Dante. The oblivious younger brother ends up confused and semi-hurt that you are “afraid” of him. He thinks that he might have upset/offended you and tries his best to figure out what is going on. It turns out, it was the complete opposite of what he thought.
I'm slowly reposting my AO3 stuff here since it seems like that's what people do on here (I am pretty new to Tumblr lmao) 💌💌💌 Anxious (shy?) G/N Reader. Non-established relationship. FLUFF (Semi-implied dirty things)
==
“Damn,” You grumbled as your hands fumbled around your belt, “Nero, you don’t by chance have any spare shells, do you?”
The young man’s voice took on a chaffed tone, "You know that Rose doesn’t use shells, right?"
You clicked your tongue and closed Revenant, "Was worth a shot…"
He looked toward the other side of the room where you stood, “And here I thought I was the ‘inexperienced’ hunter,” he made an exaggerated playful huff and tossed three shells at you, "That's all I got. Now, don’t spend 'em all in one place.”
Laughing quietly, you rolled your eyes, “Fuck off” and whipped Nero off.
All you got in response was a smirk and an eyebrow wiggle. Hastily, you shoved the two extra shells into your pocket and reopened the action of the shotgun.
A shout from Nero grabbed your attention, “Head’s up!”
You’ve worked with him a hundred times before and knew exactly what he wanted; you dropped flat against the ground. A loud bang resounded from Blue Rose, twin bullets nestled deep into the Riot demon’s skin. It moved back a bit in response to the shot. Not wasting a single second, you sprang to your feet and aimed the reloaded Revenant. Another shot rang out and was accompanied by the cry of the dissolving creature.
You opened the action again and slid another shell into the chamber, “Not a bad shot, alter-boy," you snapped your gun shut, "but I would've been fine."
"Yeah right," Nero sauntered your way as he reloaded his gun, "last time you said that I had to drag your sorry poisoned ass back to Nico."
Both of you continued your path down into the demon nest, "Like I haven't had to do that to you, mister 'let's see how many times I can get tossed by Furies'."
"Hey! That was once! Plus, I got my answer didn't I?"
The room resounded with laughter between the two of you. Times like these are why you’d rather work with Nero than anyone else, even if he is a hot-headed idiot sometimes. You turned to face the next set of the demonic onslaught.
==
Several hours had passed before you both returned to the surface. The sun had long since faded and the night sky would've been a gorgeous sight, except you were engulfed in demon blood. Sure, you got dirty and grimy from work but this was overkill. Never in all your years had you been this coated in gunk.
Nero stood next to you as he holstered Blue Rose, "That was fun," he chortled. Exasperated, you whipped your head to the side to glare at him as he gave you double finger guns with a wink, "Same time next week?"
You were unable to be mad at him, a laugh bubbled up from your throat, and shook your head slightly, "That was the gayest thing I have ever seen, Nero. Ho-ly shit …" you slid off your coat to make yourself less miserable.
"Ah, I gotcha-- I should do one finger gun 'cause I'm Bi," Nero had copied your move of taking off some clothing.
Smiling and still laughing you jested back, "That’s even worse"
With both of you having nothing but a shirt, pants, and socks on, you headed back to the van. From the door, you heard a cat-call whistle.
Nico was leaning against the door lighting a cigarette, "Thought y'all were just friends~" a heavy coat of sarcasm laced her voice.
" Hey! Fuck off," Nero cut in before you could respond, "just got sick of re-enacting Carrie, that's all."
"Uh-huh…" Nico moved aside her face plastered with a shit-eating grin as she let you both into the van. You gave Nico a smile and a small wave.
Nero went to throw the soaked clothing on the table, "So help me God--" Nico grabbed him by the back of his collar, "Boy, don't you even think 'bout it… Put that shit in there!" She pointed to an empty storage tub--one that is meant for bloodied clothing.
With a grumble, Nero tossed his pile of clothes into the bin. He then walked over to the passenger seat and slumped down with a loud groan.
You followed up by throwing your clothes on top of his. Setting your weapons on the bench, you flopped down face-first into the couch exhausted, “Wake me when we get back, please..?”
Nico walked over to the ashtray on the table, snuffing out her already-finished smoke, “Sure thing”
==
You felt something nudge your shoulder and heard something unintelligible. The next thing you knew, you were on the floor facing the ceiling. Slowly you blinked trying to wake yourself up, “--you even listening to me?!” you focused your eyes on the noisy figure above you, Nico.
“...hm?” you yawned as you sat up, “We back at the shop?”
“Uh, yeah! We have been for almost an hour,” Nico helped you up onto your feet, “Nero and I tried to get you up but you just swatted at us,” she pulled out her pack of smokes, “I’m goin’ home now and I ain’t takin’ you with, so go on and get!” Nico flashed you a smile as you gathered your things--or rather just your weapons, seeing as someone took the bloodied clothes in already, and left the van.
Once inside the DMC, you stopped and grabbed a drink from the fridge then headed up to your room. Nero had volunteered you to live here to keep an eye on the two brothers--and to make sure they don’t destroy any more walls. At first, you were pissed--who wouldn’t be? Living with Nero was fine but living with his stone-faced dad and your ungodly hot boss who fight every time the other sneezes sideways is a fucking nightmare. However, over the past few months, the twins grew on you and you began to slightly enjoy living at the DMC.
Since you were so tired, you fumbled with the knob for a while before finally getting into your room. You haphazardly dropped all of your stuff to the floor and grabbed some clean clothes and towels, heading for a much-needed shower.
Upon reaching the bathroom the door was shut. Knowing better than to just waltz in--which you learned the hard way--you knocked on the door checking if anyone was in there. No response. Taking that as an answer, you headed in and began to strip. Once fully barren, you turned on the shower head stepping in. The warm water felt nice as you began to relax.
The last few jobs have been brutal, to say the least. It feels like everyone around you is always unaffected by how hard this can be. It makes you feel marginally weaker, even though you can go toe-to-toe with any of the other hunters (besides Vergil, that is).
A sudden loud knock came from the other side of the door pulling you from your thoughts, “Hey, the old man sent me to get the rest of your dirty clothes, you mind?”
The relaxed mood was gone in an instant as your pulse quickened, Dante. A shy lump began to form in your throat, “C-come in.”
The door squeaked as it opened, “Thanks, babe!” you swear you could practically hear his smirk, “Glad you made it back in one piece! I’ll see you later!”
A click from the door indicated that the youngest brother left. Gently you sighed and continued to shower. It didn’t take long for your mind to wander to thoughts about Dante.
Although you have worked at Devil May Cry for several years now, you had scarcely interacted with the suave man, or rather you couldn’t. Dante had been nothing but warm and welcoming, but something about him made you anxious enough that it petrified you--quite literally, in most cases. Originally, you brushed it off as being based on him being your “boss”, but something in you told you otherwise. His smile made you feel things that you didn’t think were even possible. That damned laugh could put you into a trance any day. That doesn’t even take into account Dante’s physical features-- You shook your head. The rest of your shower was spent trying to keep your mind from wandering to that charming youngest son of Sparda.
You turned off the faucet and stepped onto the bathmat. The feeling of your fuzzy well-used towels was a welcomed touch after today’s job. Lazily, you got dressed, brushed your teeth, and headed back to your room for the night.
==
Morning came and went quickly, by the time you rolled out of bed it was well-past noon. You stretched out and upwards as you sat up, moaning a bit from the feeling. Eyes still half-shut, you shambled over to the bathroom.
You’d lived here long enough that you could care less about walking around in your sleepwear--or rather, you didn’t care if Vergil saw you like this, Dante was a different story. At the bottom of the stairs, you saw Vergil sitting on the couch and, like normal, he was nose-deep into a much too-large book.
“Mornin’ Vergil…” you waltz over to the desk and peer over a few scattered job folders.
Vergil raised an eyebrow, “It is well past morning,” you looked over to him, surprised he responded. His gaze hadn’t left the page, “The folder on the far right is a job that you should be interested in--per Morrison’s request.”
You slowly moved to grab the folder, still groggy from sleep, “Gotcha… thanks, Vergil.”
He gave you a flat smile as you walked over to the bar counter to look at the paperwork. You couldn’t help but feel a bit elated at the small progress you’ve made towards be-friending the eldest twin. A few months ago he barely acknowledged your existence--today, you got a smile.
A growl came from your stomach, pulling you from your thoughts. The folder now set on the bar top, you turned around to the door behind you--the kitchen door. You grabbed an apple (which was surprisingly still ripe) and a bottle of water.
You sat on one of the pleather stools at the bar and opened the folder, enjoying your fruit whilst in thought, “ Huh,” a photo of the “job site” caught your eye, “this is going to be a bitch, Nero might have to do this with one of the brothers…” you studied the notes from the client, “Shit, that’s a lot of dough… Maybe I should give this one to Dante so he can pay some of the--”
“That’s quite the job, goddamn!” you tensed up feeling someone lean over your shoulder, “You really got your work cut out for yah.”
All you could manage in response was a meek, “Y-yeah,” all you could hear was your heartbeat and Dante’s soft breaths.
“If you want,” he leaned back, thank God, “I could help--give ol’ Nero a break.”
All thought of trying to remain calm had now flown far out the window as you thought for a moment, “Work with… Dante..? I really shouldn’t--” you bit your lip in thought as your brow creased slightly, “but it would be nice to work with someone more experienced…”
“You don’t have to say yes,” Dante rubbed the back of his neck as he noticed your worry, “I know you like workin’ with Nero.”
With pursed lips, you took a slow breath to calm yourself, “No, we can d-do this job t-together, if you w-want…” 100% calm, nailed it.
“Oh, Hell yeah!” a large warm hand hit your back flatly, “When we gotta--”
Without saying anything, you lifted a shaky hand and pointed to the terms, “T-today would be b-best.”
Dante removed his hand from your back, “Shit, alright. Wanna leave now or?”
You nodded coyly as you went to get up from the stool. However, this puts you face to face (or rather face to chest) with Dante, just barely inches from him. A gentle scent of burnt wood (and a faint scent of pizza) filled your senses. You’d never been this close to him nor had you ever actually thought you’d be. To prevent dying of a heart attack, you scuttled off to your room.
Gear all on and ready, you left your room and walked towards the stairs. However, you stopped upon overhearing Dante and Vergil talking.
“--did anything to upset them?” Dante’s voice wasn’t his usual energetic tone, rather, his voice was worried. Concerned and confused, you continued your eavesdropping.
“Have you asked them yourself?” Vergil’s tone was rather warm, considering his usual stoic nature.
Dante sighed, “N-no… Even if I did, I doubt they’d tell me.”
“There is--” Vergil stopped and turned towards the stairs, shit.
Attempting to seem like you weren’t just stopped at the top, you calmly trotted down the stairs.
“Ready to go, hot stuff?” Dante smiled widely.
You caught a glance at his un-naturally sharp teeth and swallowed hard, God the things those could do to you, “Y-yeah… You?”
“Always,” he winked, “shall we?” Dante made a grand gesture toward the garage.
You waved goodbye to Vergil, who seemed taken back a bit by the friendly gesture and simply nodded in response.
Dante walked over to the far side of the opened bay doors, “You alright with ridin’ Cavaliere..?”
You looked like a deer in headlights as you stood for a moment, “S-sure.”
He sat down on the bike and gestured for you to come over. Sheepishly, you made your way over and mounted the bike.
“Might wanna grab onto me,” Dante kicked the kickstand, “Lemme know if I am going too fast for yah.”
Neatly you placed your hands on the sides of his hips and slid as close to him as possible. Dante turned the ignition and shifted the transmission to neutral his hands squeezing the clutch. He pressed the starter and you were off.
Despite your nerves, Dante’s warm body made you slowly melt into him. You could hear and feel his heartbeat, it was a calm and soothing rhythm. Warm leather from the side of the jacket caressed your cheek as you lost yourself in the moment. The intoxicating smell of a campfire and old Italian food made your heart flutter. As you sat with him you couldn't help but savor the moment and allow yourself to relax.
==
It was only about an hour's drive away, at least with Dante’s manic driving. You hadn’t been paying attention to the fact that the bike had been off and kickstand out for almost a minute now.
“As much as I am enjoying this,” Dante’s hand gently caressed over yours which were still firmly gripping his hips, “we have work to do, babe.”
Upon realizing what was going on, you panicked. In this spooked state, you scrambled to get off Cavaliere falling off onto the concrete, “Ow, fuck…”
“As much as I am enjoying this,” Dante’s hand gently caressed over yours that were still ever so tightly wrapped around him, “we have work to do, babe.”
Upon realizing what was going on, you panicked. In this spooked state, you scrambled to get off Cavaliere falling off onto the concrete, “Ow, fuck…”
An amused grin spread across Dante’s face, “You alright?”
Hurriedly you scrambled to your feat and gave him a nod, face as red as a tomato from embarrassment.
“Let’s go, shall we?” he got off the bike and nodded toward the enormous demon’s nest before you.
==
The blurry figure of Dante flew past you for the umpteenth time as you took care of a group of Hell Anternoras. You smiled. As much as you love working with Nero, it was undeniable that Dante’s style worked with yours considerably better.
Finishing the final one, you heard Dante yell something about “blowing his wad” and couldn’t help but wander to some rather unprofessional thoughts. Ones of Dante telling you--no, doing such things to you…
Being submerged in your perverse daydreaming, you weren’t aware of the ever-encroaching Nobody stalking you from behind. Dante, however, did and took action.
The next thing you knew you were several feet away from where you were and Dante had you pinned underneath him. Giving you a cheeky smile and a slight eyebrow wiggle, he shot back up and took care of the demon. You slowly sat upwards, confused and having a headache starting--not only from being slammed into the ground but because your heart had begun to beat much faster.
He let out a signature laugh and sly comment. Then went back to you, extending a hand to help you up. You stared at his outward stretched hand and stood up, without him. He pursed his lips in confusion his eyes held a small hurt look that you seemingly didn’t notice and slowly retracted his hand.
==
Dante’s hands were stuffed into his pockets as whistled to himself. The both of you hadn’t spoken since him pinning you almost an hour earlier. Tense didn’t even come close to describing how uncomfortable the air had become. A part of you wanted to crawl up into a ball and wait for the tension to subside.
Dante being Dante, couldn’t stand the odd mood any longer and wanted to fix it, “Hey can… I ask you something?”
You nodded, not daring to speak--feeling a lump already starting in your throat.
“Is there a reason you’re afraid of me?” his voice was uncharacteristically serious. Still, without an audible response, Dante looked back at you and saw you were dead-stopped in your tracks
“Wh-what makes you th-think I am afr-fraid of you, huh?” your vain attempt at confidence had now been obliterated by your stutter.
“Well,” Dante looked around in thought then locked eyes with yours, “Every time you’re around me, all I can hear is how fast your heart is--I asked Verge about it and he said it’s normally a fear thing.”
Breaking eye contact as a dark blush spread widely across your face. Your heart quickened further and, given the twitch in Dante’s gaze, you knew that he noticed. Your voice was gentle and quiet, “Y-you can hear my h-heart?”
He smiled a bit trying to lighten the mood, “I’m half demon, remember? Demons feed on human blood, which comes from your heart n’ stuff.”. Your eyes widened as your thoughts wandered about Dante eating you. Seeing your deer-in-headlights stare Dante quickly clarified himself, “not that I plan on drinking yours or anythin’...”
The occasional distant sounds of demonic growls were the only thing that broke the heavy silence. Dante’s eyes were plastered to you and yours were everywhere beside him. Thoughts were running a million miles an hour in your head as you thought about what you could say--or what you could make up instead of telling him the truth. Fear crept into your mind at what Dante would say, what he’d do. He’d probably fire you and never want to talk to you again--hell, maybe he’d forebay you from seeing even Nero. You’d be discredited as a demon hunter by everyone around and have to get a normal job, a boring job.
“I thought… I dunno--” Dante’s voice had become noticeably tender as he had placed a hand on the back of his neck shrugging, "I thought maybe us doing a job together might help but…" Dante’s face took on a saddened gaze, “seems I only made it worse.”
You stopped your rapid glances at the environment and settled on staring at Dante’s boots. Nothing came out as you stood there mouth agape trying to find the right words. Harshly you bit your lip and decided to bite the bullet, “Dante-”. Iridescent teal eyes fixated on you in curiosity as he patiently waited for you to continue, “It’s not-- I--” you could feel your body begin to shake in frustration as you paused for a moment thinking, “Why am I like this--why can’t I just--”
A hand gently grabbed yours as you came back to your senses. Dante had moved to be right in front of you and had a slight pout, “Hey, you okay? We don’t have to talk about it if you don't want to--don’t force yourself.”
Instinctively you interlaced your fingers with his and gently squeezed his hand, “D-Dante, I--” your lips trembled your heart rate was so loud that you felt ill as you mumbled those forsaken words, “I like … or well, love y-you and I f-figure you don’t feel the s-same and-- and I--.” your voice cracked as you lost your train of thought.
Expecting him to react in anger (and possibly even physical violence), you flinched, shut your eyes, and braced for the worst. However, nothing happened. After a solid minute or so, you fearfully opened your eyes. Dante was still just standing there holding your hand. His brows twitched slightly as he seemingly was in deep thought.
He was cautious when approaching you, not wanting to overstep his bounds. You felt the gentle exhale of his breath on your lips as he leaned ever closer. Dante audibly swallowed and waited for your move. With a hitched breath, you closed the distance.
The kisses weren’t the most elegant, but that didn’t matter, all that mattered in this very moment was Dante. His stubble lightly brushed your face and his lips tasted just as sweet as you had imagined. With your free hand, you ran your fingers gently through his hair--which was surprisingly silk-like. The kiss ended but neither of you moved both of you panting slightly.
Dante smiled wistfully and spoke, “Who said I don’t feel the same?” he lightly nuzzled your nose with his, “ In fact, I think I love you too.”
Your heart skipped a beat, “I--”
His free hand moved up to cup the side of your face as you locked lips once again. However, this time, he made sure to make how he felt as apparent as possible. Stealing your breath with how feverishly he was pushing into you. Your hand that was holding his slowly groped up his arm. You felt Dante’s arm flex a bit from the sudden message-like touches. Dante must have enjoyed your gentle squeezing because he gave you small kitten licks against your lips asking for more.
He was excited, that much was apparent, from how much he explored your mouth. You got a better taste of him now; his mouth tasted similarly to how he smelt--he tasted smokey (perhaps a side-effect of his demonic heritage?). It was intoxicating. You felt light as a feather and never wanted to let go. At this moment, everything faded away; there was not a single person in the world besides you and him. Dante felt your stance become unsteady so he placed both his hands firmly at the small of your back and you placed your hands on his chest. You moaned into the kiss quietly. Hearing your arousal, Dante began to practically devour your lips. His hips ground against yours making you moan more.
He decided to let you catch your breath for a moment. While you did so, Dante moved to kiss along your jawline moving down your neck. His stubble had begun to tickle at your neck making you giggle. You felt a grin form against your skin as he began to purposely nuzzle you with it. Playfully you squirmed away from him, only to have him pull you closer.
Your head rested against his chest and you could hear a faint purr from the legendary demon hunter. Enjoying the moment, you turned your face into his chest and buried yourself in it.
Dante hugged you and laughed a bit, “Kind of wish you said something sooner, babe…” one of his hands gently ghosted up your back, “You have no idea how long I’ve wanted to do that.”
You buried your face further into Dante muffling your voice, “Really?”
“Yeah, really…” a fondness laced his voice as he kissed the top of your head gently.
Neither of you is sure how long you stood there holding each other. It felt like an eternity and like no time at all. Eventually, you parted from your embrace.
Dante smiled widely, his eyes full of warm happiness and creased on the edges, “Once we get out here, can I take you out? Like on a date?”
You couldn’t help but laugh, “Of c-course, Dante…”

Shadow of Stars: Chapter 11
CW: Whumper’s POV, threats, violence, brief degrading language (directed at a character that isn’t there), power imbalance, knives
“Your highness!”
The door slams open, disrupting the papers spread over the table. Star curses under his breath and slams his hand down on a map of the waterways. He has been staring at them for hours, trying to figure out where would be the best place to open a new port. The kingdom is in desperate need of trade ever since the insurgence of Shadows. If he can have a plan in place to bring before the council, then perhaps they can move forwards instead of being bound by tradition.
Two young men walk into the room, virtually identical if it weren’t for the large birthmark on the left man’s face. Behind them is a squad of soldiers, fighting tooth and nail to restrain two figures.
“Yes?” Star demands.
“We caught these two,” the man on the right says. “They were trying to take supplies from the army and leave.”
The men part, allowing Star to see Robin and Thaddeus clearly. They are forced to their knees, a wince passing across Thaddeus’ face as his good arm is wrenched behind his back. Robin glares at Star, blood obscuring the side of their face. Thaddeus does the same, though his eye is swollen shut and dark with bruising.
“What, what were you, um, what were you doing?” Star says, pushing away from the table, hands clenched at his sides.
Robin and Thaddeus exchange glances. Neither of them speak. The twin with the birthmark smacks Thaddeus across the face.
“Answer your king!”
“He isn’t my king,” Thaddeus says slowly, as if he is measuring the weight of each word.
The other twin whips out his knife, pressing it to Robin’s throat. “I would choose your next words very carefully,” he growls.
“Leave them alone!” Thaddeus shouts, lunging at the twin. The other soldiers wrestle him back to his knees. The back of his neck whitens from the pressure as they force him into a bow.
“Star,” Robin says, their voice low, seemingly unaffected by the blade cutting into their throat. “I cannot serve under your command any longer. If this is to be my formal resignation, then so be it. But I will not allow myself to contribute to the fall of your parents’ rule any longer.”
Star grinds his teeth together. He sucks in a deep breath, forcing his hands to remain at his side, if only for a second longer. He will not kill Robin. Even after everything they have done, they are still the closest thing he has left to family.
“So, so you thought–you thought running was, was your best, best option?”
“Would you have let us go?”
When Star doesn’t answer right away, Thaddeus barks out a laugh. Harsh and low, the mocking chuckle of someone who knows they are right. Star bites his lip hard.
“Why would we have asked if we knew what the answer was?” Thaddeus meets his gaze, smile sharp as a knife. “You would have us killed.”
“I, I, I wouldn’t have!” Do they really think so little of me? “You are my, my, my– . . . you are family.”
“Family? Your highness, you tried to have my partner killed! Do not stand there and say we are family when your slut has more sway over you then us.”
“Do, do, do not speak of Dan-Daniel like that!” Star’s hand stings, throbbing a steady pulse up his arm. He stares in shock at Thaddeus, at the reddening welt on his face in the shape of his palm.
I hit him.
“Is this what your father would have wanted?” Robin snarls.
Red tints Star’s vision. He buries his fingers in Robin’s hair and yanks, forcing their head up. He snatches the knife from the twin and presses it against Robin’s throat. A rush of power flows hot through Star’s veins as he forces Robin’s head back further.
“Do, do, do not mention my f-father, father again,” Star growls, pressing the blade deeper. A drop of blood slides down Robin’s skin. Thaddeus shouts, the sound choked off as the other twin shoves a cloth into his mouth.
“I have full rights to talk about a man I considered a brother,” Robin responds. Their voice remains steady. “If he were to see you now, see the destruction you are wrecking on this kingdom, he would be–”
“Diss-dissapointed. In you. For, for not stopping the Sh-Shadows.”
“Or would he be disappointed in you? For sleeping with the enemy that killed him?”
Star digs the blade in deeper. This time it fully breaks skin. Robin flinches, sucking in a deep breath.
“I, I, I will slit, slit your th-throat. Kill you. No one, no one would know.”
Thaddeus screams again. Star glances at him, noting how desperately he struggles against the soldiers, fighting with every ounce of strength to protect his partner. Would Daniel do the same? Would he fight and kill and bleed to keep him alive? Though, by his drugged gaze this morning, after the blood and the sex and the exhaustion that was all Star’s doing, he has no doubts. Daniel is fully his and will do anything for him.
“People will question,” Robin answers. Their voice shakes. “People will wonder and you won’t be able to lie to everyone. You would have to kill us both.”
“Who says, says I won’t?”
Star presses the knife in just a bit deeper, a subtle reminder of everything he is capable of. After all, he is still their king, he is still their ruler, they still have to obey everything he tells them.
“I don’t have, have to kill you,” he says, running the tip of the knife up their neck. They freeze and Thaddeus’ screams fall silent. “Can always think, think of, um, something, something else.”
“Your highness-”
“Shut up, or, or, or I’m shutting you, you up myself.”
Robin stares at him, their eyes wide. Star pushes away the little voice whispering in the back of his mind that this is a wrong decision. After all, Robin and Thaddeus are two of his parents’ oldest friends. Close to family. They have always been here for him and his siblings. And now, to have them turn suddenly, leave him alone, remove all their support, all of it is blindsiding. They shouldn’t have done so.
It’s easier than telling himself they’re right.
“Your highness,” one of the twins says. “What do you want us to do with them?”
Star steps back, lowering the knife. He tracks his gaze over Robin and Thaddeus, making sure to meet both their gazes. Just another step closer to the cliff. A cliff he is beginning to think he wants to walk off.
“Take them, them to the wilder-wilderness,” Star says softly. “Leave them by, by, by the Shadows’ land.”
Thaddeus says something, the words lost to the gag. Star ignores him and nods towards the bracelet around Robin’s wrist. An intricately woven band of gold and silver: expensive, valuable, given as a sign of marriage. Thaddeus wears one as well.
“T-take that.”
“No!”
Robin lunges towards the guards, tackling one. Shouts fill the air, the other soldiers rushing forwards. The knife is yanked from Robin’s hand. They headbutt one of the twins, sending them back a pace. Star hovers, ready to jump in, unsure of when to. Robin scoops the knife back up, holding it firmly in their hand as they stare the soldiers down.
“Release my husband,” they say, their voice low and sharp. “Now. Or I will gut you as an offering to the king’s demon.”
“Put down the weapon,” one of the twins snarls. He raises his sword, pointing it at Thaddeus. The reminder of the guards focus all their energy into holding him down. “Or your husband will be the one sacrificed.”
“Robin,” Star says, keeping his hands apart and welcoming. “Robin, put the, the, the–put it d-down please.”
“Please?” they spit, glaring at him. “Now you chose kindness?”
“I, I, I am being kind. If you, you don’t, they will, they will–Thaddeus will die. Is that, that what you w-want?”
Robin looks back at Thaddeus. He shakes his head, ignoring the sword hovering near his throat. Whole conversations pass in the gaze, far too fast for Star to follow or understand. Then Robin lowers the weapon, baring their teeth as it clatters to the floor. The twins wrestle them back to their knees and ignore their curses filling the air.
“See?” Star says. “That, that wasn’t so, so, so hard.”
“Your highness,” Robin snarls, keeping their gaze on the flagstones. They look up, but their gaze stays on Thaddeus. “Banish us if you wish, but do not take them, please. Let us keep them.”
“Wh-why? I thought, thought a promise is, is, is a promise. Do you, you really need a, a, a visible symbol?”
“Your highness.” Their voice is breaking, hands clenching at their sides. Thaddeus shakes his head. Is he warning them against pushing the issue or is he encouraging them? “Listen to me, please, taking them away proves nothing.”
“It, it, it proves every, everything.” Star steps between them and Thaddeus. He nods to the guards and orders, “T-take it.”
Robin lunges forwards. The twins yank them back and curses fill the air. Thaddeus kicks out a soldier’s legs before being restrained. The twins reach down and unclasp the bracelets. One of them places the circulets of metal in Star’s outstretched hand. They are heavier than he expected.
“Damn you,” Robin hisses. Their eyes shine with unshed tears. “Damn you.”
“Take them, them away,” Star breathes. The bracelets weigh heavy in his hands. There’s enough silver that it would burn Daniel. What if he traded out one kind of cuff for another? “I, I hereby declare you, you both exiled from, from, from the kingdom. If you, you ever return, you will be ex-executed immediately.”
The soldiers haul them to their feet. Star turns away, feeling their burning gazes on his back. But he will not acknowledge them or their anger. This is their decision. They are the ones who chose to defy his orders. The punishment is only fitting.
When the door slams closed behind them, Star sighs. He grips the bracelets tightly, allowing the metal to dig into his palm. When he can breathe again without feeling as if he will fall over the edge, he walks from the room.
Everything will be fine.

Continuing~ same warnings with slightly more porn
Adam scrubbed at his scalp roughly, before rinsing out his 3-in-1 shampoo body wash conditioner, and stepping out of the shower. He glanced in the mirror, seeing twin spots on his throat that were still bruised but healing after a few days under a bandaid.
He'd barely started drying off with a towel he probably should have washed...a week or two ago, when his phone range. Recognizing the ringtone, Adam ran into his apartment living/bedroom in nothing but a towel hung around his hips.
He grabbed it up and answered with a grin, plopping down on his bed. "Heeey bitch."
"What the fuck do you mean you were attacked by a vampire?" Lute barked at him from across the country.
"Yeah, ran into one walking home." Adam said casually, pleased with himself for getting such a strong reaction from her. "Don't worry, I scared it off."
There was a long pause on the line, but he knew her well enough to guess she was staring at the phone in anger. "You... Chased a vampire away. The thing that doesn't exist. You chased away. From downtown LA?"
Adam hummed, bringing his legs up so they were criss cross. "Yeah, that sounds about right. You know it was attacking this poor lady, so I stepped in and was like, not on my watch fucker. We fought. I've got a couple scars, but I made the cunt flee."
"Adam, I- you- I can't-... You said you were going to be fine while I went on vacation! How the fuck drunk were you?!" Lute sounded exasperated, it was pretty late over there. Who the fuck goes on vacation to a medical malady museum?
"I was totally sober," Adam lied through his teeth.
"Fucking liar. I'm going to call you tomorrow when I'm not exhausted, and hopefully when you're not drunk." Lute huffed, before she hung up on him.
Adam rolled his eyes, before laying back on his bed. He kinda missed her yelling. Adam sighed, before a moment caught his eyes. He sat up sharply, blinking at a small yellow bird on his bedframe. It tilted it's head at him, ruffling it's feathers, moving back and forth on the wooden frame. Except there was something wrong with it - Adam was pretty sure birds didn't have six wings.
"What the fuck are you?" Adam whispered, wide eyed, suddenly aware he was only in a towel. It laughed, oddly human sounding, before flying forward and landing beside him, becoming a man in an instant. No, it was him again. The vampire.
"She seemed nice," Lucifer said, chin in the palm of his hand, but Adam was on high alert. Turned on slightly, but still on high alert.
"H..how-" Adam started, but Lucifer cut him off.
"How did I find you? I followed your scent. How did I get inside your place of living? That's just a common myth to appease scared humans, I can go wherever I please." Lucifer smiled toothily at him.
"No, how the fuck are you a bird?" Adam glowered. "You're a vampire, where's your self respect? Shouldn't you be all goth and shit, come in as a bat or black cat?" Adam asked, and Lucifer blinked owlishly at him, before cackling.
"You are adorable," Lucifer smiled at him fondly. Adam felt a bit miffed at the comment, he was cool, badass, a rebel, not... Adorable. "Can I drink from you again?"
Adam opened his mouth, ready to tell him to fuck off and get bent, but the memories of last time came rushing back to his mind. Immediately, heat pooled, and his clit throbbed.
"Fuck yeah," Adam growled, pulling Lucifer down on top of him. Instantly, teeth pierced his skin, and that same wave of pleasure crested over him, through his veins. Adam rocked his hips upward, desperate for friction as the small vampire drank away. Soon, the towel was pulled out from around him, and Adam let his legs fall open. "Come on, fuck me."
Lucifer wasted no time, and he was larger than Adam would have expected from his body size. He moaned as Lucifer buried himself to the hilt, wrapping his arms around his throat. Lucifer fucked him for who knows how long, and Adam lost count of how many times he'd cum. He was pretty sure Lucifer had stopped drinking from him after a few minutes, quickly putting all his attention into fucking Adam through the goddamn mattress, until there was a puddle below Adam's hips.
Lucifer sighed happily, nose nuzzled into Adam's throat. "I truly wish I remembered where I know you from.."
Adam was too fucked out to even think about it, let alone push him off.
But, some things seemed to not fully be a myth, as Lucifer was gone come morning.
Mini fic, adamsapple, trans masc Adam, vampire Lucifer, dubcon
Adam stumbled down the street, drunk, tired, angry, drunk, furious, did he say drunk already? His girlfriend had dumped him, again, but this time he was pretty sure it was going to stick since she was fucking pregnant, and Adam didn't have a fucking dick. He didn't wish her well, in fact he wished her worse, before he left to get fucking trashed. Had he said fuck enough times yet?
Eventually he got kicked out of the bar, and had to go... to the next bar, before that one kicked him out too. He'd started hitting on any girl he saw, and the last place eventually kicked him out for, according to them, offering to go down on a portrait of the madam who'd ran the bar in 1889. Whatever, Adam had booze at home. So, to home he went, very slowly, trying not to trip over his feet too much.
Adam rounded a corner, and blearily blinked in realization it didn't seem familiar, he must have taken a wrong turn - then, he saw something else. A figure was collapsed on the ground, legs buckled under them, and another individual was just barely keeping their head up. Except, it didn't look like they'd caught them, it seemed more as though-
The man looked over his shoulder, back at Adam. His hair was a pale blond, and his eyes were glowing red, pupils a bright unearthly gold. Blood was dripping down his chin.
"Hey, fucker! Let them go!" Adam yelled, marching forward, never one to back down from a fight. Plus, it helped he could tell he was close to a foot taller than the guy. Adam was taller than most people, including most cis guys he met, which in Adam's mind made him the alpha male.
In a blink of an eye, Adam was slammed up against a wall, a hand around his throat, and inhuman eyes stared up at him with mild annoyance; until suddenly they widened in surprise.
"Wait, I know your scent." The figure said, sniffing the air. "Why do I know your scent..."
Adam struggled against him, it seemed insane that a tiny guy like this, who looked more like a librarian or a fucking jester, could be this strong. It wasn't just that he was drunk, this thing wasn't human.
The hand slid down, gripping into Adam's shirt to jerk his head down, until they were face to face. "You smell so..."
Adam flinched as the thing leaned in and bite hard into his neck. It was painful, more than he was expecting, but his struggling was useless. But, suddenly, pleasure began to flood through his body. It throbbed in his head, his chest, between his legs. From terror to abject ecstasy, Adam moaned, his hands no longer trying to push away, but to pull him in closer.
The man let go, before biting down again, and Adam came, legs suddenly weak. He was soaked, like he could drown a horse he was so wet. A hand pushed down the front of his pants, and very quickly coaxed him to another orgasm.
"Call me Lucifer," the man said, pulling his hand out and licking his blood off his lips before licking his fingers. "You'll be seeing me again."
In a flash, Lucifer vanished, and Adam was left with a headache, sticky pants, and the knowledge he should probably google vampires.

hey chu I have a request for you where baby fushiguiro, liking chuuya's clothes and hat a lot, decides to make a replica of this that is in his size with his magic of chaos to spend all day trying to imitate chuuya's style (I can see to dazai visibly disgusted by this XD)
when scarlet witch! baby fushiguro! reader imitates chuuya's style
jujutsu kaisen x reader x bungou stray dogs
masterlist of the series
╰➤ CW(s): possible spoilers for bungou stray dogs and jujutsu kaisen (gojo's past arc), jealous! dazai, and mentions of scarlet witch's powers, major themes of fluff and crack, soukoku fighting over child! reader's favorite parent
╰➤ PAIRING(s): platonic! bungou stray dogs x reader (dazai osamu, nakahara chuuya)
this is so cute omg i love it!! thank you so much for requesting and for being patient, enjoy reading ♡
dazai knows and despises the fact that you adore chuuya with all of your heart, his former twin dark partner back when he was still in the mafia, and he honestly doesn't understand why or how.
what do you mean by his gravity manipulation ability being cool? chuuya's ability can easily be nullified by dazai! it's not that big of a deal. your dazai-nii can also pull off suits and coats, and he's more attractive than that shrimp!
so, when you returned to their universe, dazai and the armed detective agency he was with were astounded to see you running up to them all dressed up in chuuya's clothes.
kunikida, yosano, and ranpo have their mouths agape, kyouka and fukuzawa are staring at you with wide eyes, atsushi and junichiro are screaming their lungs off from shock while dazai clutches his chest as if he had been stabbed or shot in the heart.
as the gears in his head turned slowly, dazai fell short of words, "w-what in the.."
you weren't just wearing chuuya's clothes; you were also completely imitating his style.
you wore the same white button-up shirt under a gray vest, a black choker, a black ribbon bolo tie held together with a small silver buckle, an open black cropped jacket with sleeves rolled up at the elbows, black slacks, a black belt hanging off your right hip, and black low-arch shoes.
you've even got chuuya's black gloves, a long black coat with a light-colored lining and lapels that he wears around his shoulders like a cape, and the freaking hat, except that everything is just about your size. worse, you made your hair look like chuuya's, with a longer section falling past your left shoulder framing your face.
as atsushi stared at you, he began to laugh nervously, "[name]-chan.. that's um.."
"i'm copying chuuya-nii!" you exclaimed, stating the obvious and giggling fondly as you threw your gloved hands in the air.
"that's very nice.. [name].." fukuzawa managed to say while clearing his throat and reaching out a hand to pat your head, err, hat—since you were wearing one, "yes.."
"riiight.. yes, i agree with the president, [name].." kunikida asserted next and pushed his glasses up his nose, "you look nice."
"nice? you think that's nice?!" dazai exclaimed dramatically, dropping his knees to the floor and reaching out his arms to you, "my poor, sweet little belladonna has been tainted by that hat rack pipsqueak of a mafioso with his... stupid and disgusting influence!"
"dazai-san, calm down.. you're acting as if [name]-chan died or something," atsushi said as his sweat dropped before looking down at him.
"that's it, you're taking this off!" dazai scooted towards you on his knees, grabbing the hat on your head and the long coat draped over your shoulders, "my poor sweet bella can't be wearing that awful snail's clothes!"
"what? no!" you exclaimed as you vanished into a red mist of psionics before reappearing about a meter away from him, clutching your hat and coat, "i'm not taking them off!"
"and why not?!" dazai's eyes narrowed as he gasped and stood up before placing his hands on his hips.
"because i like chuuya-nii's style and i made these with my wiggly-woos magic!" you argued, puffing your cheeks up in annoyance as you mustered a glare for dazai, but it was just too cute to be honest, "so you can't!"
"chuuya's style is absolutely disgusting! his style stinks!" dazai retorted, now folding his arms and puffing his cheeks up like you.
you held your ground, your cheeks puffing up in annoyance, "but not to me!"
as you became agitated by dazai's comments about chuuya, your [color] eyes began to glow red, as did your hair as it began to flow upwards, causing dazai's eyes to widen because it reminded him of chuuya whenever he glows red due to his ability.
dazai scoffed at this, folding his arms and sighing deeply in defeat. he didn't want to push it any further, remembering how he had already made you upset in the past once and you ended up giving him the silent treatment. in any case, chuuya's the one to blame for your new look because he's been rubbing off on you.
so, dazai was stuck with you just imitating chuuya for the entire day. from his trademark smirk to the way he acts you even mimic how chuuya rolls his letter r's as you throw glowing red punches and make yourself stick to walls and ceilings, which everyone found adorable, including dazai, but he'd never admit it.
of course, dazai would never let you drink actual wine, so the best you could get was grape juice, which you were still happy about, but dazai was incredibly grumpy as he begrudgingly held your hand while the two of you walked in public.
it just wasn't fair to him. you should be imitaring him instead. after all, he reminds you of your adoptive father, gojo satoru. unless you had a preference for someone other than gojo.
when dazai thought about it, he couldn't help but wonder if gojo had a close friend who reminded you of chuuya. but, as dazai recalled the jujutsu sorcerers you considered your family, he believes there isn't anyone who makes you think of chuuya.
it couldn't be your uncle nanami because you explicitly mention him acting like kunikida, with atsushi acting like yuuji-nii and your auntie shoko acting like yosano.
as dazai was thinking about it, he was interrupted by a familiar but irritating voice calling out to him.
"oi, dazai!"
speak of the devil.
"who the hell is that with you?"
when you and him came to a halt on your tracks to turn around, dazai was already grimacing. he couldn't have mistaken that irritating voice for anyone else's. you gasped in delight at the familiar person as dazai groaned.
"just great, it's the real deal," dazai grumbled, his gaze narrowed at the redhead.
"chuuya-nii!" you exclaimed enthusiastically, leaping to your feet and darting towards him, wrapping your tiny arms around his legs.
"c-chibi? is that you?!" chuuya's eyes widened as he peered down at you to see how you were dressed exactly like him, "why are you...?"
"[name]-chan has been imitating your style all day, and it's all your fault!" dazai exclaimed, pointing a finger at the stunned redhead, "you and your disgusting influence got to her! you tainted her!"
chuuya's temple twitched in response to dazai's remark, "HAAAAAH?!"
"dazai-nii keeps telling me you suck and all that!" you exclaimed, tugging on chuuya's pant leg and pointing to dazai, "but i told him no!"
"oh yeah, chibi?" chuuya scoffed at dazai as he patted your head, err, hat, since you were wearing one, "this simpleton is just jealous!"
dazai argued, his hands on his hips, "i'm not jealous! i'm just telling the truth!"
"yeah, you are! just look at [name]," chuuya smirked as he picked you up in his arms and replied to him, "clearly she has a favorite, and it isn't you."
you giggled as you wrapped your tiny arms around chuuya's neck, rubbing your cheek against his.
"[name]-chan!" dazai's eyes widened with disbelief. "what happened to me being your favorite?! i thought you loved me!"
it was just utterly ridiculous.
"i do love you, but i like chuuya-nii's style more!" you argued with dazai while sticking out your tongue at him.
"ehhh? what's wrong with my clothes?" dazai inquired, placing a hand on his chest, slightly offended by your remark.
chuuya rolled his eyes, "you have shitty taste in clothes, that's what."
"chuuya-nii's clothes and hat are cooler." you exclaimed with a small pout, "his power is like my wiggly-woos magic and he turns red too!"
"i couldn't agree more." chuuya smirked, a hand on his hip as he held you closer to his chest.
dazai and chuuya were eventually forced to stop arguing because the three of you were out in public and a bystander was genuinely concerned, believing your "parents" were fighting over you because it ended with dazai attempting to take you away from chuuya, who refused to let you go.
"just come with me already, [name]-chan!"
"what are you taking the kid for, huh?!"
"[name]-chan is not even your kid!!"
"well, she's not yours either, you vagabond!"
"i'm the one taking care of her, not you!"
for some reason, seeing dazai and chuuya act so amusingly yet seriously over you reminded you of your adoptive father, gojo satoru, who would act just like dazai around your favorite uncle, whom you have a limited memory of, probably because he died a little too soon for you to remember exactly, but a memory of him you significantly remembered and greatly treasured was how you would copy his man-bun.
"oi, what are you laughing at, [name]-chan?" dazai looked down at you, his cheeks slightly puffed up in a childish way. you were now walking with your hands in each of theirs.
"i just remembered something," you said as you squeezed dazai and chuuya's hands before releasing them to pull your hat down to hide your smile and laughter.
"oh, yeah? and what's that, chibi?" chuuya remarked, his arms folded across his chest.
you dangled your tongue as you lifted your head and hat to face him and dazai, "it's a secreeet!"
dazai frowned and narrowed his eyes slightly, "aww, can't you tell me at least?"
you shook your head, shoveling your gloved hands into your pocket to grin at dazai like chuuya, "nope! don't wanna!"
"heh, sometimes i wonder what it's like to have your chaos magic [name]," chuuya sighed, shrugging his shoulders and chuckling fondly at you, "none of us can ever have a penny on your thoughts, and the fact that you can easily copy someone's clothes through your ability's transmutation too."
"unlike you, i actually know what [name]-chan is thinking about," dazai spoke with confidence as he stuck out his tongue at chuuya, who looked incredibly irritated with a raised brow and nerve protruding on his temple.
"chuuya-kun reminds you of someone, doesn't he?" dazai continued talking, "hmm, actually, let me rephrase that. we remind you of two people, right?"
"did you just read my mind, dazai-nii?" you inquired, blinking and softly gasping.
he nodded his head and clasped his hands together, "looks like i did little bella!~ i'm amazing aren't i? way cooler than chuuya's shitty gravity manipulation and style, yeah?"
as dazai snickered at your reaction, chuuya exclaimed an angry, "HAH?!"

when i miss you, it’ll change the way I kiss you || pt. 1
Warnings: kissy kisses, slightly suggestive, fluffy fluffs, angst if you squint, mentions alcohol (Ukai)
Ushijima, Osamu, Keishin, Oikawa
✺ Ushijima Wakatoshi
giving your bf the silent treatment for 3 whole days bc he introduced you as his "friend" (to his teammates bc he panicked)
He eventually corrected himself...a day later bc he forgor 💀
Your text messages were filled with his sorries
But after you told him to give you "some space", he decided to stop texting to respect your wishes
It was only when you slowly approached him in the gym while he sat on the bleachers, studying the volleyball in his hands
“You, ok?” he asks quietly, noticing you, still unsure if you'd want to talk to him.
Tears start to form in your eyes and you can’t help but start sniffing away the pity snot
He immediately embraces you, patting your head and giving it a kiss
“I love you,” he says into the tender kiss on your forehead
You move away from his embrace to look up at him
“I-I lob y-” you start to say between sniffs but he cuts you off by placing his lips on yours
"I'm sorry," he says, pulling away.
"I heard you the first time," you respond, making him chuckle. "Also, you don't need to apologize. I overreacted, I'm sorry."
"No, you're fine. You are my lo-"
You take revenge on him cutting you off by kissing him again.
This time the kiss is deeper, as you pull him impossibly closer
His eyes flutter close as you allow his tongue to entangle with yours and you pull at his hair
You fight a smile, hearing a groan erupt from his throat
This kiss was very different from usual
You both clearly missed each other.
˚⁀➷。
✺ Miya Osamu
after a getting into petty fight (that was mostly your fault), you decide to push him away a little
and after a few days of ghosting him, you can’t help but start to miss his smile and the little wrinkles that form around his eyes…
yeah…
That’s when you decide to stop by the Onigiri shop before it opened to speak to him
And he was there…as usual being the early bird he is
When he saw you, he just stared at you.
“Listen…I’m really so-” you start
“I don’t want’a hear it.” He grabs a few boxes of snack bars and organizes them onto the counter
What? So, that’s it?
You kept quiet, thinking about different ways to gain his forgiveness
after what felt like a whole minute, you hear him sigh
“fuck this shit.”
Osamu pushes the boxes to the side and jumps over the counter
“You know, you could’ve just walked around there?” You point at the gate that separates the cash register and the outer room
“This is faster.” He doesn’t take his eyes off you.
“You’re so dramatic,” you laugh.
His gaze softens as he holds your cheek with his palm
“I miss yer laugh,” he says in almost a whisper, “I miss you…and I’m sorry.”
You shake your head. “No, it was my fault. I’m sorry, I shouldn’t have acted that way.”
"C'mere." He puts his arms around you, leaning down to kiss you
You giggle into his kiss
But when he lifts you up onto the counter, deepening the kiss
You can't help but wallow in the moment as his tongue explores your mouth
It has been so long since you’ve kissed like this and he won’t keep it that way again
"I miss yer kisses," he pecks your lips before moving down your jaw, towards your neck.
"I miss your scent, too," he inhales deeply in your neck before sucking on that one special spot that made you bite your lip.
“Y’all’r confusing as hell. I swear I thought ya'll were gunna break up.” Atsumu appears out of nowhere, stuffing one of the snack bars in his face.
You both jumped at his sound.
“Get out.” Osamu unwraps his apron and throws it at his twin.
"Hey! Didn't you ask me to help you, today?" Atsumu dodges before his twin throws another heavier object at him.
"Oh! Babe, I can help out, too." You face your boyfriend, smiling.
His arm still around your waist, he smiles back. "Alright, then. I guess we'll be spending the day together."
"Hello...I'm still here." Atsumu looks between the two of you smiling at each other. You both never fail to make the man feel single af.

✺ Ukai Keishin
Bc he was constantly having to work and then study between jobs, you barely had time to spend with each other
He never even called for the past week
Maybe he was ghosting you?
stop being dramatic, you thought to yourself
That is why when he texted you one late night to meet up at his place, you (almost) desperately replied back
With a bit of heaviness in your heart, you decide to go meet him
he was sitting on a table on his front yard, a drink in his hand
omg, is he drunk? you think to yourself.
"Hey," you tap his shoulder.
His head turns to you and you see his gaze soften
"Hey," he simply says, taking your hand and placing his cheek in it.
Oh, he isn’t drunk. You sigh in relief
There is a silence that washes over the two of you
"Are you ok?" You ask, staring at him.
“Been better,” he shrugs. Then he looks back at you, smirking. “Of course, you’re here, so I’m feeling a little better.”
“Please don’t overwork, yourself.” You worriedly stroke his cheek with your thumb.
He sighs, feeling comfort in your hand
“Sorry, I didn’t call.”
“No, it’s fine.” You pull your hand away.
“No, even a text would’ve been fine. Gosh, I’m so stupid,” he mumbles to himself.
“You had a lot on your plate.”
“Either way, I should always make time for you.”
You keep quiet, facing his shoes.
“You..know, I missed you.” His voice makes you look back into his golden orbs.
“Oh, yeah?”
“Like a lot,” he says, amused by your tinted cheeks under the glow of the porch light.
He pats his lap, motioning for you to sit.
It only makes you blush more but nonetheless, you accept the invitation.
You sprawl your legs across his lap as he pulls you closer by your waist, resting his head on your shoulder
You feel his chest move as he sighs in content
“Why don’t we stay like this for a minute?” he mumbles.
The intimacy and closeness of your bodies only made you lose your mind, especially since you haven’t seen each other in a while
“Keishin,” you breathe, turning his face towards yours.
Hearing you say his name in such a way after a long time, made his eyes go dark,
You watch his adam’s apple bob on his neck before crashing your lips on his
He moves his lips, reciprocating your movements
and when you tighten your grip on his shirt, he grabs and moves them into his blonde locks.
You tug at his hair as his tongue prods out to unseal your lips
With the way he’s holding and squeezing at your sides, hands moving down to your thighs, has you whining
He takes this as an opportunity to move his lips to your neck, leaving open mouth kisses
Keishin tightens the hold under your thighs, pressing you against him as he stands up, carrying you with him
“Let me make up for all the times we missed out,” he whispers against your skin.
You hug him tightly, nodding at his words.
He chuckles at your response and kicks his door open
With you still tightly in his arms, your bf takes you into his cozy dwelling.

✺ Oikawa Tooru
Oikawa being the biggest heartthrob, despite being taken kinda gets you riled up
You were okay and used to seeing other people simp over him
but what drew the line is seeing a whole dedicated fanclub for him constantly waiting for him after each game
Which got you a little moody especially bc of the fact that you kept texting him to distract him from the fanclub
but he never responds, busy taking photos and signing autographs
It was only until you left, that he noticed your messages
When he read your last one: “Tooru, I’m gonna need some space for now, I’ll call you later”, he felt devastated
For a couple days, he sat in his room, contemplating, if he should text or call you
but he kept waiting for you to call
At some point, you have calmed down and decided to explain how you felt
Instead of calling, you decide to visit him
You walk into his room and there he lays on the bed, blasting the song "Loser" by Charlie Puth
As he was mouthing the lyrics "I'll never recover, I'll never be fiiinne",
Your throw one of the stuffed bears towards him, which makes him startle, pausing the song
"Babe??" he sits up on the bed, looking like he’s seen a ghost.
"You didn't lose me, loser."
He looks down, not speaking.
"Look," You start, grabbing his hands. "I was really jealous seeing all those girls fangirl over you. What I'm trying to say is, I'm not going to tell you who you can and cannot talk to. Because, I trust you. I always did. They were just really pretty and I don't know..."
"Hey." Before you could ramble on, Oikawa sits up, clasping his fingers with yours. One hand goes up to your cheek, thumbing it gently. “You’re the prettiest.”
“Thanks but, you’re only saying—”
He moves in to kiss you. “And the smartest,” he murmurs.
“Okay, I’m not that smart,” you laugh, your smile lightening the room.
“Smarter than me,” he says before continuing.
“And…wait I didn’t finish…the coolest.”
He uses boths hands to squish your cheeks and kiss you again. “And the CUTEST”
“Alright, you can stop now,” you roll your eyes.
“Annnnd…” he smirks, seeing you blush. “the sexiest,” he whispers, his voice darkens.
Oikawa lowers his hands to your waist as he moves in closer to your lips, this time, closing his around yours.
You begin moving your lips in sync with his, your hands making its way into his brown hair.
He pulls your waist to move you on top of him as he falls back on the bed
His lips stay connected to you, moving down your neck
“I take it that we’re okay now?” he asks, breathlessly, between kisses.
You nod. “I’m sorry, I overreacted.”
“It’s okay. I suffer from jealousy bc of you, too.” He softly moves your hair behind your ear, grinning widely.
“Shut up,” you say, trying to fight a smile but failing.
“I can try,” he says cockily before placing his lips against you again.
