while cleaning out the freezer earlier i found some almond basil pesto i froze back in july and now ive thawed it out and added some cheese and cream so i can have it with the pasta im cooking rn. life is beautiful
#that was when i bought a basil plant at the amish market and ate caprese sandwiches for a week straight#and when the leaves all started to wither (and i ran out of mozzarella) i saved what i could and used them all to make this pesto#it's not the prettiest in the world but it was also a wonderful use of the toasted almonds i wasnt using or eating much
