Both of our mains in Jack & Joker are competent but exceedingly naïve in different ways; Jack thinks if he keeps trying to do good the right way the world will work out for him despite how unfair he knows it to be, and Joke thinks if he does good even by illegal means his efforts will make a positive difference and win his parents' respect despite knowing how they would disapprove of his means. And both of their efforts have blown up in their faces by the end of the first episode.
