what were your inspirations when putting ‘golden’ together?

“i wanted to sing about love because it is universal and something everyone can relate to. music can be interpreted in many ways by its listeners and i’ve always found that very fascinating. when i was putting the tracklist together, i also wanted it to tell a story, so the listening order is actually a part of the experience!”

“oh, those are good ones to describe us! i can see why you’d pick them.” jungkook smiles. “but personally, i’d pick standing next to you. why do you think it’s the final title track?”

what were you first impressions of jk’s album?

“i knew right away that it would be very successful! and every song he made me listen to, i just thought that they’re very jungkook. i think the album sums up his music taste pretty well, which means that he’s happy about it. that’s all i really want.”

which song(s) were you immediately hooked on?

“‘hate you’! i love how his vocals really stand out, like in his covers on soundcloud. it gives me the same feelings when he sings me to sleep.”
